DITCH Your Irons For These NEW FORGIVING Blades In 2026!

Not much beats a lovely crisp morning’s golf here in the UK, but one thing that certainly can is new club day. Hi everyone, my name is James Robinson and welcome back to this YouTube channel. Today I have a brand new set of irons from the guys at Tour Edge. Now this is a bit of a mission from the guys at Tour Edge. It’s a total rebranding and I think these could be the most important clubs Tour Edge have launched since the turn of the century. Guys, if you’re new here, please do consider hitting that subscribe button below. Lots more content to come for you guys when it comes to brand new golf clubs. And I must admit, Bobby, is it the first time you’ve seen these? What do you think? Very nice. They look like some of the best looking irons I’ve ever seen. These are, of course, the MB irons. We have a couple of kind of different types of irons we’re going to test for you today. So, those videos are either on the channel now or coming very, very soon. But one thing they’re trying to do, they’re trying to be a bit more premium. They’re trying to kind of entice that upper echelon of golfers, which I’m all here for. Today we’re going to put these through the paces out here on a Look at the mist on the lake, Bob. It’s delightful. A gorgeous Woolly Park Golf Club. And we’re also going to test them for numbers and see if they are actually any good or if they’re just like, you know, like sexy rubbish. It’s a It’s a fair statement, isn’t it? So, um, we’ll play the first few holes. Now, looking down at this, one thing I really like about it, there’s some offset on here, and it doesn’t look totally unmanageable. Like the top line’s okay. It’s like not thin, but it’s not mega mega thick. little bit of offset and then you can see all the visual technology in the back of this here that’s potentially going to help us. So, we’ll discuss that as we go on. Numbers wise, you might be very, very impressed. First swing on a a nice cool morning with an MB5 iron. That is everything I want from that shot. Absolutely lovely. We come in and we look at this gorgeous turf interaction. This is one thing which I think this kind of market of golfers are really going to be after. They’re after a nice crisp divot. They’re after a nice crisp strike on a cool morning and they’re after something that looks incredible. Let’s continue. Oh, I’ll put this back. Actually, we don’t want to be leaving a a slug, do we? This time in the morning. Okay, that is one fairway hit out of one. And I must admit, when you look at something like this, so these aren’t going to be cheap. They’re not going to be a budget option. They are going to be a nice premium performance option. And we look at some of the other clubs in the bag. So, we’ve actually got the CB here, which we’re going to do the video on as well today. That looks absolutely fantastic. Maybe potential for a split set in there. And then we have these bad boys, the Exotics Max. Now, they I’m go miles. So, if you want a really forgiving iron, stay tuned for that video coming very, very soon. We’ve got 150 in. So, I’m just going to hit a nice Do I go eight or nine, Bob? Cuz these are no slouches when it comes to distance. You would think that an MB iron like this would be a little bit more of a a non-distance iron, but they’re not too bad at all. I’m going to go eight just because it’s so early. What are your thoughts on that as a and I like that they’ve kept that to edge look and appeal. Look, look, that that is absolutely gorgeous, isn’t it? Wonderful. Right, come on, James. Can we underpar a couple of holes with these blades? You can’t see me. Oh, that’s delightful. That is absolutely gorgeous. Again, if anything, it was a little bit heavy, but I think it’s really worked nicely for us there. So, in the words of Stevie Williams, pin high, baby. That’s what he used to say to Tiger when he was striking it well because I think if you can get pin high with irons like this, you’re doing the job. Now, what tech is in these irons? I’ve actually got the press release from Tor Edge here and I want to make sure I get all this right because for this MB iron, you won’t believe how much tech they managed to kind of get in there. So, it’s got to shaping compact blade profile with a sharp leading edge. It’s got the vibe core channel and that’s strategically positioned to fine-tune sound and responsiveness. And we’ve also got forge CNC precision. So, each head’s milled from what do you reck it’s milled from, Bob? 1025 carbon steel. Says it here. I mean, and that’s just what you want in it. And it’s designed to blend. So it blends perfectly with the CB and like for me I think that is everything that you would want from a club like that. I have it 58 into this first hole and I think really it’s been relatively stressfree. You can see we’ve got some nice response on the green as well. So, we always know that I think in a in a world of either blades, cavity backs, or now hollowbodied, these could be a really good option for so many golfers who we all want to play something that looks sexy, don’t we? I think that that’s like human nature for golfers everywhere, but if you can have something that looks sexy and performs incredibly well and is a bit different. I know so many golfers who are relatively bored of like Ping, Callaway, Titus, Tailor Made, and the DTC stuff’s been really, really good. Don’t know how easy it is to get hold of Tour Edge. In the UK, it’s it’s not as easy as maybe the US. How’s that not gone? How’s that not gone? Stress free Paul. Now, one of the things that you really are going to want to do with an iron like this is have that air of versatility. I’ve spoken already about the performance, about the forgiveness, about that kind of vibe core tech in here, but do you lose the ability to be able to flight it up and flight it down? I’ve got two balls here and we’re going to flight them hopefully differently and just see what kind of shots we can get. Bobby, can you see me if I’m here? Just right. We’ll go for a nice normal flight to kick off with. Very similar to the first T- shot. Just a nice normal strike like that. That’s as good as I’m going to get for a five iron. It’s bang smack in the middle of the fairway. It’s doing what I want it to do. We’ve got a nice turf interaction as well. And now, can we play the same shot, but essentially lower that peak height? We’re struggling, aren’t we? We’re struggling. Bobb’s struggling. Got the sniffles this morning. Ball back in the stands. It should be relatively simple. Oh, Bobby. It’s it’s a joy. Now, one thing I will say because I do think that I’m a big fan of Tor. I’ve been a big fan of Tor Edge for multiple years. I like what they’ve been doing. I like the avenues they’ve been going down, but these aren’t cheap. And I do think that’s one thing which we need to think about. We need think I know we need to think about the cost element because now these are coming in at a maybe just under the price of the big boys. In fact, the price was on that. This is why I’m bringing the information so I don’t I get it all correct. How much do you think, Bob? 7 piece steel shaft, $1,249. It’s about £1,000. It’s up there with the big boys, isn’t it? So, they’re going to have to perform. With that being said, let’s jump inside. Let’s see how they perform for numbers. Let’s continue this um challenge, I’ll call it. It’s always challenging with Bobby on a Monday morning. Nice holiday, Bob. He’s back. Okay, so let’s talk numbers for this simply stunning Tor Edge MB iron. I think this is one of the best looking irons that I’ve tested so far this year. And I love the fact we’ve got that lovely bit of kind of visual tech right in the bottom there. Let’s see if that’s going to help us get some nice distance here. I’ve got the seven iron. As you can see, we’ve set a green out there at 170, which is a little bit it’s a lot for me. I feel like I’m probably biting off maybe a bit more than I can chew, but let’s hit a couple of shots and just see how they perform. Now, the fact Edge have gone into this market for me speaks volumes about their direction, about what they’re wanting to do, who they’re wanting to sell golf clubs to. These look very, very similar to a set of Tailor Made MBs from the past. Look at that. I don’t know where the Tracer line’s gone on the golf song, but that’s a really nice shot. Pitching around 160, releasing out to 165. 5 a half th000 spin. Fairly low on the spin element. I imagine that is due to all that tech that’s crammed into the bottom of this head. It wasn’t the wasn’t the softest of feeling, but we’ll move with that. And that’s very subjective. Not everybody does want a really buttery soft blade. That was really nice. We’ve got the tracer back as well. That’s handy. 5,000 spin again. Pitching at 160. These are really, really good numbers to be honest. That’s bang in the middle. It’s excellent. Bang in the middle of the target that we have set. Now, what I’m really happy with is there is a bit of offset on here. And I think that’s really good because I think a lot of golfers who want to play blades probably do need a little bit of offset if you do carve it out to the right just a little bit. This is going to help you not only hit it that little bit straight. You can see mine’s a tiny bit left. I’m not blaming the offset. That’s probably just me. But it’s also going to help you maintain that square club face. So, you’re going to get that distance consistency which everybody really does want. I do want to try and get the spin up a little bit. Oh, that’s a towy one. We’ve got the spin up, but that’s not a very good one. What’s that one going to carry? You can see there whenever you are testing a blade, if you do miss the center of the face like I’ve done there, that’s a big drop off. That’s a 148 carry, 156 total. The spin was consistent though, so we’ll take the positives in that. No club’s going to be easy to hit that looks this good. That was a nice one, though. 61 spin that time. So, a little bit more pitching around 155, 156 emulation out to that 163 number. Now, when we are testing these, this is going to be the first video I put out in this trilogy of new to edge irons. But, we do have a couple of other ones that you might want to either mix the set with or just go with. You can see we have the CB forged here. Then, we have the Max. So, the Max is going to go probably a very, very, very long way. We also have these two really, really nice options. So, hit that subscribe button if you don’t want to miss that. They’re going to be coming laterally this week. I never like throwing like three in a row on because I feel like people get bored of it. But if you want to see three in a row, get in the comments below and let us know. Right. Can we hit a nice 165 carry? That would be the dream. That’s as good a swing as I’ve got. 52 spin. Tiny bit low. Again, we’ve got that technology in there. And as soon as you try crunching, you can get some distance out of that. to 171 carry. Now, the worry with that is that front to back window now goes from 171 to 148 carry. One’s a very, very good strike, one of the best strikes I can have, and one’s probably one of the worst strikes you’re going to have where you’ve hit the face. So, very interesting numbers. Let’s get back outside on the golf course and talk more about these clubs and let’s see if they could be the clubs that you’re going to want to use in 2026. How are we saying that already? I mean, you could use them in 2025, but they only be a couple of months. So, we’ll say 26. That was a good one. They’ve gone exactly the same distance. Pablo, that is exactly what you want. And the numbers, I know you guys will have just seen them. Really, really impressive. Right, I’m going to go. It’s cold. I’m going nine iron. We’ve not iron yet. And to be honest, I just really enjoy taking them wrappers off. That were cool, weren’t it? One of my best ones get that. Should we just go this one or is it a time from here? Let’s try and pump a nine. That was the first one. But we can take this one, can’t we? Is it eight? I think it’s eight. I think it’s eight. This is the thing like with clubs like this, they are relatively like easily lofted. I don’t think they’re necessarily power lofted. Come on. Left side of the green. Just hit a good shot. Oh, that’s all over it. Be the club. Oh, it’s just short. It’s just It’s good job we didn’t hit nine. That’s landed a yard short and spun all the way back off. I don’t know what to blame there for that one finishing short. Probably was it a touch heavy maybe? But felt nice. That’s really nice as well. See, that’s not sure. That’s bang on it. I’m really enjoying that lovely high fade as well. That was much better, wasn’t it? Lovely big high just peeling fade. Even with the offset, I can still hit that shot that I want to hit. So, one of the elements a lot of people do like with bladed clubs like this is obviously having a nice bladed wedge. Now, although this is nice and bladed, it’s still a fairly thick sole, and that’s one of the things which I think they’re really smashed out the park here because it’s not It is a blade, but it’s not a blade, is it? It’s like a fake blade, but it’s certainly one of like the sexiest looking clubs I’ve seen in in quite a long time. Placings on now, Bob, as well. Give that a clean. So you generate that nice feel. And the feel is obviously it’s nice to sound good, but it’s also nice just to get these nice little kind of short chip shots and release up there nicely. See, for clubs like hollow bodied, you can’t really do that. But just having the vibe core gives you the the kind of control and the forgiveness. But having the forged element allows you to do that. I’m buzzing with that really good. Me would have flopped that. Bob with a 60. Not anymore. Set of Tor Edge MBs and we’re done. Bash. It’s funny because I think one of the big things that I’ve got my back to camera. I know that’s very very rude of me, but one of the things I’ve really enjoyed about this whole experience with these irons is the package. like all like I’m really enjoying myself hitting these shots playing these holes with these clubs. I’ve got eight iron Bob. Yeah, it’s lovely in the sun. You got sun cream on. It’s going to have to be a good one. Pins front edge though. Anything over that bunk is a good hit with this eight iron. Can we just draw it in maybe? Oh, how good’s that? Did you hear that? That That’s one of the most pleasing golf shots I’ve ever ever hit. Let’s go there and see where it’s finished. Guys, get in the comments below. Let me know. Could you see yourself using the new Tour Edge MBN in 2026? Bob’s like, “Your breath stinks, mate.” That’s another one relatively flag high. You can see we’ve actually extended this green here at Will. It’s going to be a massive green by the time next season rolls around. pitched here and it’s it’s just another another good nice shot. Is that enough for $1,249? Get in the comments below and let me know. Apart from that, we’ll see you all at the same time tomorrow. That’s a bar, ain’t it, Boie?

  1. The irons look great, but $1300 for a set? Haven’t these club manufacturers learned anything? I see Takomo irons all over the place now. You can get a fantastic set of 301mb for less than $700 and a set of 101s that hit the ball to the moon for under $500. I simply don’t understand why these manufacturers haven’t got the message yet. Good looking irons though.

  2. The old branding was awful. I don’t know if the brand has earned the equity in minds to move up market after that. It’s way easier to move down market like PXG. I’d be hesitant to even ask to try these at a fitting

  3. Good looking clubs but would look even better if the branding wasn't so busy on the club heads. In my opinion would look better with just the TE in the corner, no other text on the head.

  4. Some of the titles for your vids have become very clickbaity lately. We all know you’re not “ditching” your gamer irons for these. It’s a good vid and stuff but come on.

  5. I’m sorry, but no one is buying tour edge irons for $1250 over Titleist or Taylormadd

  6. The new TE Max is definitely going to carry longer than the MB or the CB options.

    Loft
    TE Max = 27.5 degrees
    TE MB = 32 degrees
    TE CB = 32 degrees

When you do a comparison, compare the 28 degree TE MB and CB 6 irons vs. the 27.5 degree TX Max 7 iron…

Expect some crazy fliers with this hollow body, springy face design with the TE Max irons.

  7. Tour Edge are top notch, all of my fairway woods are TE, I currently play Mizuno Irons, but I would grab a set of their Irons in a heartbeat.

  8. Look better than before but the price hike negates that. Maltby is the way to go for looks, feel, and price imo

  9. Great video James, lovely looking irons but at that price are their better than Titleist or Taylor Made. The price is just a little too 'up there' to tempt me away, unless they of course out perform the major brands.

  10. How about, “Trying out some POTENTIALY new irons”! Just saying, Bobby/ James. Cheers from Oregon.
