EDMOND, Okla. – SWOSU Men’s Golf secured a top-five finish at the Skip Wagnon Invitational, highlighted by a standout performance from Conrado Diaz Ermacora, who tied for third after finishing nine under par across 54 holes.
 
St. Mary’s won the team title with a score of 34 under. Host UCO placed second at 30 under, while Missouri Southern finished third at 15 under. The Bulldogs closed the tournament one under par to claim fifth place in the 18-team field, finishing as the top Great American Conference squad among seven league schools competing.
 
Ermacora turned in his best showing of the fall, leading SWOSU for the first time this season. He shot under par in all three rounds and totaled 15 birdies, the third-most in the field, while making just six bogeys. His opening round of 65 was his lowest score of the week, followed by rounds of 67-69 to close out the tournament.
 
Ryan Carlisle opened with back-to-back even-par rounds of 70 before finishing with a 73. He tallied six birdies across the first two rounds along with four bogeys and a double bogey. His final day included an eagle and a birdie but was offset by additional bogeys and a double.
 
Jack Phillips and Ben Jackson both finished at five over par for the tournament. Each opened with a one-under 69 in the first round. Jackson followed with an even-par 70 that included an eagle before slipping on the final day with a 76. Phillips struggled in round two with a 74 but closed strong with a 72.
 
Sawyer Burleson rounded out the lineup with scores of 76-70-75. He recorded six birdies overall, including three in his even-par second round.
 
The Bulldogs will return to action Thursday in a match play event against Northwestern Oklahoma State in Enid.
