Shaq fires back at a claim made by Chris “Mad Dog” Russo, from ESPN, that Shaquille O’Neal is the 5th best center of all time. Adam Lefkoe reads out Mad Dog’s list and Shaq responds to each player Chris Russo placed above him. Where do you think Shaq sits in the best center of all time ranking?

  1. Wilt would’ve terrorized Shaq. I don’t mean he would have dominated him, but he would’ve been a matchup Shaq had never seen. Wilt was more than an inch taller with a longer wingspan, and despite being leaner played most of his career north of 285 pounds. Shaq was absurdly fast and quick for his size, but Wilt was even moreso. Wilt was a high level collegiate athlete in track and field. 10.9 100 meter, competed in sprints, 400, triple jump, high jump, and shotput. He was a freak unparalleled in history. You’d think Shaq looks so much bigger than Wilt until you see the video of Magic Shaq shaking a 50 year old Wilt’s hand and Wilt is clearly every bit as large in frame as Shaq, and taller. Taller, quicker, faster, and had a tremendous finesse game (most of Wilt’s shots were fadeaways and fingerolls).

  2. I don't remember Shaq beating Hakeem Olajuwon in any NBA Finals. I remember Hakeem sweeping him in the Finals like yesterday trash 🗑 😅

  3. I cant disagree wit shaq i got at 2 over wilt though because wilt had less competition and only got 1 ring shaq had more to compete against and got 4 and 3x he was the Finals MVP

  4. I can agree with all the people mentioned being better than Shaq. If Shaq actually shot a decent FT % (75 or better) I would say he was the best C or at least 2nd best of all time. Shaq was dominant in the post. With that said he was still a one dimensional post player that had a weakness (FTs).

Shaq destroyed everyone in the post. He really didn't do much else. He was decent on Defense when he was younger. I think when he gained weight he focused less on Defense. For as big as he was you'd expect him to be a better rebounding center. I think he has the lowest rebound #'s of all mentioned as well.

  5. Shaq beat old Hakeem first round 99 with pippen and Barkley on Houston then Shaq and Kobe got swept by spurs second round

  6. Imagine being smacked because you missed it by two

    I’m not #5,
    I’m #3 damnit”…

I felt that way about Shaquille O’Neal at times as a Laker fan😢

  7. I have jokic over shaq. Jokic is just as unstopably strong against centers he plays against. Better footwork in the post, has a fade, has a 3 point shot, top 5 passer in the game all time, better rebounders. hits free throws.
Shaq only has a bit on defense and maybe if they play against eachother a physical edge. Even in defense Jokic hands are way more disruptive.
Winning 1 ring in Denver is as hard as the 3 in LA so shaq has 1 ring value over Jokic for me. That is compensated by 3 mvp's and most dominant prime ever in the NBA (PER). and the amount of career left to play.

  8. Imagine if Shaq was in shape! Kareem and wilt. Wilt would have torn Shaq a new asshole! Kareem was a beast! I do respect Hakeem and Malone because if all were in their prime it’s anybody’s game. 😮

  9. 3-second rule change for the 2001-2002 season ruined Shaq's career. He would have beaten them all, maybe not as many rings as Wilt but he would have definitely gotten more points than Kareem

  10. Hakeem
    Kareem
    Shaq
Are the 3 best, I think Hakeem is the best
    Moses in so so underrated
    Wilt & Bill are icons
Walton could have been in top 3 if injuries well
Jokic & Hakeem are most fun to watch:)

  11. The MOST dominant….ya had to have 3 bigs just to use as foul fodder or Diesel would destroy your chances at a W…even then it didn’t matter 90% of the time.
