How to choose a golf simulator projector
Choosing a projector for your golf simulator can be a nightmare. So, here’s exactly what to look for to get the best image possible. You’ll need at least 3,000 ants lumens to keep your image bright and clear. Anything less and it’ll start to look dull or washed out. 1080p resolution is absolutely fine for most golf simulator setups. It’s crisp, clear, and looks great on screen. 4K is a luxury. It looks incredible, but it’s more expensive and you’ll need a PC powerful enough to run it smoothly. A short throw projector is ideal because it can create a large, bright image from closeup. And more importantly, it won’t cast shadows when you swing. Lamp projectors are cheaper than laser projectors, but lasers load up faster and can last up to 20,000 hours without needing replacement bulbs. Mounting your projector and getting it to fill all four corners of your impact screen can be an absolute nightmare. So, look for a model that’s flexible in its installation. The BenQ A series of projectors let you easily drag and resize the image to perfectly fill your screen with no black bars or empty spaces. And they also support horizontal keystone correction, meaning that you can mount it slightly off center if you’ve got a narrow room or you just don’t want it directly above your head whilst you’re swinging. So remember, aim for 3,000 anti lumens or more. 1080p minimum, short throw, laser if you can, and flexible installation for a perfectly filled impact screen every time.
