I specialise in golf equipment reviews, golf instruction & I play against some of the best golfers in the world!
I also want to make you play better golf by providing coaching video on all topics about golf, how to fix your slice, fix your hook, help you drive the golf ball longer, hit your irons more pure, hit your irons closer to the hole and help you draw and fade your golf shots.
I will also help you lower your score by chipping better by stopping you duff and thin chips, pitch the ball closer and also create backspin. Also I will provide you help to putt better and hole more putts!
We’ve never done this. We have never done this. Do you know what? We’ve only played 18 holes together once. When? Oh, the good good major. The good good major. Who won that day? Was that me? Grant. Yeah, but between you and I. Did you? You definitely cuz I think you came third. I did come third right behind Micah. I remember cuz Grant chipped in like four times. Yeah. Yeah. But we we’ve never played 18 hole together apart from that. How wild is that? That is insane. I’ve been doing got YouTube for 13 years. yourself. You were like the first person to ever do YouTube. Not quite. Not quite. I was early. I was actually talking to somebody about this. It was you, Peter, and then me and my golf. Who else was it? Mark Crossfield. Mark Crossfield. A couple of guys from the US like Sean Clement. One that I was trying to think of his name. I could not think of his name. I remember seeing one that started around the same time in the US. I could not think of his name. I Was that him? The only other guy who was very early to see. Do you remember Gabriel Ryder? That’s who it was. That’s I was trying to think of his name. Yeah. The other he still does stuff. I think he he gives YouTube golf advice now. Really? Well, some of social media advice, but yeah. Yeah, that’s kind of cool. So, this is the first time. And by the way, we’re in Dallas, Texas. I don’t know about you, Garrett. This is bloody hot. This is really hot today. It’s funny cuz we’re playing a hard course and normally when it’s windy, you would be really upset about that, but the breeze is making the heat a little better. Today, it’s not as hot as it could be. It’s like outdoor aircon. Yeah, exactly. We’re going to do 18 holes stroke play. Yep. Nine on my channel. Tomorrow you’re going to see the match on Garrett’s channel. The finale nine. Yep. Um and you just I think are we pre-warning the audience? You might see a couple of 90s. You could you could today. You said it’s You could today. It depends cuz this tall grass it looks a little cut down so it might make it a little easier. But old American guys, it’s a very very challenging track. And we’re playing it in gusting probably up to 30 mph winds today if we get a good gust. We’re playing along the water on the back nine, which is going to make it really hard. So, it’s uh it’s going to be a challenge. By the way, congratulations with everything. Thank you. Appreciate that. It’s uh it’s awesome to see. I appreciate that. Um you know, I remember seeing you from trick shots in your back garden with slabs of concrete. It’s crazy to think back. Many different journeys that you’ve been on and now, you know, the fact what you guys and Good are doing and everything else. It’s awesome to see. So, it’s uh it feels like you said before about being like someone who’s done YouTube for so long. I feel like a proud like proud uncle. It’s Well, I appreciate that coming from like the YouTube golf like godfather in a sense. Use godfather, not grandfather, please. Yeah. No, it’s been awesome to see and like you say, the rise of it over the last few years has just been Appreciate that. Bonkers. Appreciate that. Bonkers from the whole the whole golf YouTube space has been bonkers. Yeah. No, we we were talking me and Ryder were talking about it the other day. It’s It’s crazy to see how much it’s expanded, too. And it feels like there’s a new creator getting into it almost every day and doing well. It’s really cool to see. You know what’s funny? A number of years ago, by by the way, longest intro ever, but a couple couple of years ago, we’re doing a podcast. Yeah, I remember. An hour later on the first tea. I remember years ago, I thought I think I think YouTube golf content, I don’t think there’s any more creators needed. I thought, but like every time someone fills that kind of niche and it’s like, oh, of course there’s a niche there. I didn’t realize there was, but of course there is. I I do want to say something. I think like you saying that it made me think like Grant is doing his matches with like a lot of pros now, but you were also like the first to do that back you did the 10 under challenge. Yeah. 10 shot challenge. So So it’s it’s just crazy to think back like that started it. Now there’s people in the United States doing it. Grant obviously doing it well as well. But I don’t know. I feel like there’s always going to be room for another creator and and it’s it’s shown because I kind of agree like it feels like it grew to a point where there wasn’t room but like there definitely is 100%. And you know what’s fascinating now? How many tour pros and professional golfers are getting into it? Oh my gosh. Yeah. Like obviously Bryson I mean that’s wild his journey. You’ve got Tommy Fleetwood who’s just started a channel. You’ve got Jason Day who you were filming with recently and the lad starting channels. Right. It’s It’s moved into kind of that space now a little bit as well. Yeah. And I think it’ll keep We’ll carry on this chat. We’ll carry on this chat. It’s like we’re stalling for the golf. Let’s te off now. Let’s Now the madness begins. Yeah. There she is. He’s so good. You are joking me. [Music] Now we’re flying. Watch this part, everybody. Oh my goodness. Yeah, this first hole uh dog leg left downwind off the right. This is probably one of the easiest holes you’ll see today. Okay. With with multi-million pound houses on the right, multi-million dollar houses on the right hand side. Yep. And looks like a a crop field on the left. You don’t want to go there. Okay. After you, sir. Oh, okay. I have I should probably get a tea right after me. Go ahead. I’ll go first. I’m excited about this. Literally first 18 holes of golf proper match with Garrett. See if we can put on a bit of a show. set. Did that go in the field? It might. I think it should be right of it. It looks like it almost hit the side of it. Oh, that was lack of no practice cuz of how hot it was. I didn’t want to fatigue myself. All right, here we go. Oh, I did the same thing, Rick. I think that’s safe though. Yeah, it’s fine. It might just be in the rough. It could have bounced back in. We’re making filming easier. I’ll actually hit provision. Those are literally our first two swings of the day right out the cart. By the way, Ryder, you got to show off my man’s hat today. Matt with the cowboy hat on. Yeah, it’s more like it. That’s perfect. Nice. I was a bit nervy on that first te. Really? Just a little bit like excited almost. It is our first time, so it’s I guess it’s normal to be nervous, but I’m more excited than anything. Um I want to say I see mine maybe up there. It was nose diving a bit short. I feel like Were you that far back or? Yeah, it was a bit of a nose divy duck hook. I don’t know if he was this far back. This is like really short. I can’t gauge it on distance. Could have carried into this stuff, but don’t worry. All right. Hey, good thing your second one was perfect. Lost my first ball. Found two. Lost one. My provisional is good though. Of course it is. Of course my provisional is good. Not the best lie here, guys. But 150. Just depends on how this is going to come out. I’m going to hit a 52. I got whatever the heck this is behind the ball. I’m not even sure. Came out weird from that lie. I kind of Oh, that’s a bad lie. You see that? Sit down. I didn’t really know what to expect from there, but it came out it came out a little weird. Okay, after losing my first ball, nailed my provisional. 121 115 yards down wind. Just a nice full sand wedge. See if we can get this up and down for bogey. Kick left. Might be short right. Okay. Just off the side of the green. Uphill right to left. Greens are fast. Roll out. Roll out. Roll. Go. Yeah. All right, guys. I would have preferred this to be in the bunker, but unfortunately it stopped in the thick stuff. We’re basically playing Oakmont today with how this lie is. See if we can get it up and down though. It’s all about how this wants to jump out of here. Oh yeah. Came out hot. Sit. Sit. Sit. Okay. Wow. Dude, we are making a mess of this first hole. We really This is unbelievable. All right, everybody. Uh, click off the video now. Plenty of golf to play. Just got to get through the through hole number one. Yeah. Slow start for the round. All right. Well, it jumped out of that lie like I didn’t expect, but up the hill. This is for the par. Really just looking for a two putt here. Escape with a with a bogey and onto the next. Hit the pin. I got lucky. I’m not even I got lucky. I killed that putt. You got lucky, but also unlucky. That should have gone in. Lucky and unlucky, mate. That That was dead center. It really was. Yeah. Oh, double gear. Double start. All things considered, could have been worse. Yeah. Two over, one over. Giving the people what they want. Exa. Exactly. It’s like whenever you watch somebody on TV, like a pro have a really bad round or like at Oakmont. I thought that was so entertaining to me watching those guys play a course that was impossible for even them. And I know I know that people love it when they see people on YouTube just like struggling. Okay, second hole. Par five. Little little bendy one left. Yep. Little bendy one left. Yeah, this does look like a tough golf course. Why? I’m looking at out of bounds right. I’m looking at this type of rough left. And if you go left of that, you’re in the houses. Yep. It’s going to be fun. It’s going to be real fun. It’s going to be fun. And then what are those on the left? Massive bunkers. Just had to hear Just had to hear it in person. Massive bunkers. Massive bunkers. I love that. All right. Like you said, par five dog leg left. Quite the challenging hole. Uh wind. Wind. Yeah, it’s good. Okay. Yeah, it’s good. Barely short. We’ll take that. I thought that was going to go into the bunker. That’s fine. That’s like where I hit the ball 90% of the time in this hole and it’s always fine. Yeah. Yeah. Might have just reached that second bunker. All good. You still be able to get it there from there. Okay. Just in this bunker. I don’t think I can quite reach there in two. It’s about 250. So, I’m going to try and hit a three iron down there. Oh my goodness. It’s out. Last time, this video is coming out in August, but the last time I played golf was last Friday when I played 100 holes in a day, so I thought I’d done all the practice. All right, Rick said we’re 247. Yeah. Yeah. 247. We’re going to go four iron. Wind’s kind of off the right and into the ball normally rolls out here. So, we’re going to try and almost bounce this one up to the green. Need a birdie after the start we had. We are not hitting the golf ball well so far. It’s fine. Maybe we should have warmed up. That’s actually a great layup. Look at that. That’s perfect. It’s exactly where we wanted to be. Ryder said, “What the saying?” I don’t know if I I don’t know if I’ve chunked a four iron like that in a long time. I top I topped my three iron out the bunker. You chunk you chunked your four iron. Oh, it’s fine, guys. There’s plenty of golf. It’s like it’s a much awaited match between us two and then this happens. Yeah. and this than this utter crap. Okay, 150 yards to the green. Third shot into par five. Wind off the right. Nine iron in hand. Let’s do something proper. Let’s hit a golf shot. Wind. Come on. Wind. Catch piece. No. Why did that wind not do just in between them? How did that wind not do anything? I know. Does the wind not do anything out here in Texas a lot? No, it should. Normally it does. It didn’t touch my drive. Didn’t touch your 9 iron. I thought it was perfect. And it definitely didn’t touch your three iron. All right. Well, guys, I’m not even going to shoot it. We’re going to try and feel it. This is a nearly impossible pin. These greens are hard. It’s a little downwind from here, so it’s going to be tough to stop, but try and hit a nice high one. Give myself a birdie. Okay. Play it out right. Let the wind do something to this ball. Sit. Yeah. Let’s go. Sit down. Sit. Sit. Sit. Sit. Oh, okay. You can probably putt that from there, but not ideal. Woo. Should we change our predictions of a couple of 90s? Should we go back? Break one. Break 100. No, we’ll turn it around. It’s going to be fine. This green looks small for a par five, would it? Gee Louise. Right. This is a horrible little spot just outside the bunker. I think I’d rather be in the bunker. Such a small green. Come on. Really awkward little stance. Oh, Rick. Rick. Come on. Nice shot. We almost There we go. Some fireworks. There we go. Now we started. I would go as far as saying this is the hardest course in the DFW area. I would say that from the tips. All right, guys. Back up the hill into the wind. You know, we’re actually going to keep this one on the ground. It worked on hole one. We’re going to putt it again. That was so close to going in. Really nice little chip. That Let’s get this back. Should roll pretty nicely through this stuff. Yeah. Well judged. Not bad. Good. Good. I’ll go good. Good. Why not? Let’s go. Good. Good. I like it. Might as well. All right. Two bars on hold two. All right. There we go. You know, it’s not that often. How often do you see us do good good writer? I was going to say just like with our brand name, we never do good good. I was going to say on someone else’s channel a lot. They like to They like to play into it. Yeah. We never do it. That’s so funny. Yeah. Yeah, Garrett pulled that 15 foot away. It was good. Good. Might as well. And we’re still I swear this is the This is the worst. But what is this help? What? How is this helping? It’s not. I mean, right there it’s feel like you should be fine. I thought that was fine. It’s not Is that in the UK you can drive pretty close to the green? Uh yeah. The mo most golf carts in the UK don’t have GPS. Well, you guys walk a lot in the UK, don’t you? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So, for your filming, are you would you say predominantly walking over riding? Um, I would say more recently in the UK it’s probably more like 60% walking, 40% golf carts. Wow. Um, where I must admit historically it’d be like 80% walking and 20% carts. Cuz it’s just not, to be honest, there’s just not many places that haven’t. Like you’ve experienced that like if you go and play some of these nice courses like when you went to St. Andrews and stuff. Yeah, there’s no golf cast there. When we came over to the UK, it was like a it was a culture shock in that regard because we almost never walk in the United States. Almost never. But then there’s a lot more newer Americanized golf courses that are coming over that do have golf carts cuz you remember when um one of the times you came over when we stayed at Dundled Links? Yep. They had golf carts. They did. Cuz that like and and a lot of resort places do. Yeah. That place was awesome. That was so nice. So other than Augusta, what’s the best course you’ve played? I must admit, politics aside, I’m only saying that cuz American politics. I know what you’re going to say. A lot of Trump courses I’ve played are really good. They are really good. Trump Abedine, I think it’s fantastic. Turnberry. Trump Turnbury. Beautiful. Have you played Turnberry? It’s unbelievable. I love it. It’s unbelievable. Really is. Um I played Trump National in LA. Y amazing. Has is Ferry Point gone now? Or is it not Trump? Another one in New York. There’s one called Ferry Point. Never been up there. It’s really nice. Um, so yeah, a lot of them. And then I would say I really like Isle Worth. Yeah. Played there. Is that That’s in uh Orlando. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And I really like um really like the other one um Flidian. You’ve been to Flidian. That’s so nice. Yeah. Did you film it before? I did. Yeah. It’s so nice. I really like that place. 172. Can I get a six, please? I might need a five as well. That’s fine. Six will do. Make it work. Make it work. Get it lower. Just straight back into wind. Yeah. Oh my. Wait, I might need I got a seven, but I don’t think I can get this there. I was even going to ask you to bring my five up. Yeah. Wait, what? I thought at first I thought it was more like here. All right, we’ll just try and compress it, I guess. I’ll be impressed if you get there with seven, mate. I’ll be very impressed. I want to see it. That seems like a for saying that the wind’s not done anything to the golf ball yet out here. No, it’s definitely going to hit this. Just going to try and keep it low. Basically going to try and turn it down to a six now. That’s so spinny. Nope. I actually think it’s going to get there, you know. Uh, probably not. No. Little short, right? Yeah. Got a little low on the face. It’s all good. Even I’m going to try and hit the six iron lower. Yeah. I mean, I think I needed all of six to get it there, too. Oh, great swing. Same spot. Same spot, mate. Got to get it up and down. Oh, we’ve hit No, we’ve hit zero greens so far in three holes. Okay, just off the side of the green. I’m just in a little bit of rough. Garrett’s just in the first cut. A came out dead on you. Snaggy. A lot of grass behind that ball. Snaggy lie. All right. Chipping this one. Yeah, I’m going to chip it just in the fairway here, guys. Really a nice spot to miss if you’re going to miss on this hole. Going to have to be a scrambling day today. Oh, right there. Nice applied. Yeah, very nice. Thank you. Thank you. Very nicely done. Okay, longer than longer power put than I wanted. It’s just up over the hill. Then it’s going to break left. Come on, Rick. Let’s get you putting boots on. He’s so good. What? You are joking me. What is it not going to go? No. Oh, that’s unbelievably unlucky. What the hell? That is unlucky there. Let me just knock it in here. Yeah, you’ve got skirt it right around your ball here. Old school styies. Yeah, exactly. Right. Damn. I managed to claw a par there. Yep. I’m three over. You’re one over. Onto the fourth. Stellar golf. Yeah. Stellar. Absolutely stellar. Jeez. Can’t believe mine didn’t drop. No, I thought you made it for sure. Oh, I really did. That was perfect cuz like the grain the way it kind of like it was lighter. Thought it was going to run down that hill and drop in. Yeah, that’s the thing with the course here down grain. Super fast into the grain. So slow. Yeah, it’s kind of tough to gauge that, but I really thought yours was going to go in. Still, I mean, not not a bad bogey. Like that’s not an easy hole today. Listen, they’re going to happen, aren’t they? I bet that hole plays over par in a local tournament for sure. Let’s let’s try and make a deal now. Let’s try and let’s try and hit a green in regulation. Yeah. On the front nine. Is that all right? Yeah. Just one green. That’s all we want between us. Right. What’s the line here? Uh kind of right over cart path. Maybe a little right of it if anything with the wind. But yeah, dog left par4 here. Hit it. Wind. No way. That’s fine. Fit. Yeah. Good shot. Yeah. Has it stayed short? Maybe. By the way, did they know we were coming? Like that is one club length away from the back of the tea. They made it as hard as possible for us today. They did know we were coming. That is literally that is a checking the pins right now. As far back as they can possibly make it go. Yeah. If we start seeing some suspicious pins, we’ll know. It’s fine. Oh. Whoa. You see that bounce? Yeah. What did it do? It bounced like 20 yards left, but it’s going to be fine. We’ll find it. It’ll be fine. I actually hit that really nice. Yeah, that was a good swing. Hey, it’s doable. It’s doable. That’s not good, though. I mean, if it was there, that’s pretty unlucky cuz that was a good T- shot. Oh, man. Okay. All right. Well, Rick is just left. Not the greatest lie. I’m just right. Should be fine. Um kind of not not a bad spot to miss. The thing about this course, even when you hit fairways, it’s so hard to hit the greens because of how bouncy they are. You could like I’m going to have to land this front edge to hold the green. And if I don’t, it will not hold. 122 yards straight down wind in horrendously thick rough. I’m just going to absolutely smash a a sand wedge. I can’t believe how bad that light is. Sit. Be good. Go. Not bad. Not bad. I thought it was long, but it ended up being a bit short. Pretty good from there. 160. We’re going to go 52 here, y’all. Just trying to get myself a putt. Like I said, this is going to be hard to hold the green. Going to have to be a really good golf shot. Sit, sit, sit. Yep. Oh, this is playing tough. That landed probably pin high and it’s going to be not good. Okay, just on the front edge of the green. Well, not sorry. Just at the front of the green barely. Just a little bit of rough. You or me, Rick? Yeah, just on me, pal. Yep. Okay. Come on. Go. It’s a good shot. Well, that’ll probably be good enough for far. Unfortunately, we bounded just long of the green. We’re on the fringe. Got to grind these pars out today. That’s it. Huh. I didn’t see all that break. It’s okay. Got to make a little bit of a tester now. I didn’t think that was moving. Right. Right. Two power ports. Yeah, easy. All right. And for par, one over through four. Still greenless and fairwayless. That’s quite impressive. No fairways, no greens out of us. I Yeah. Other than your provisional. I was going to say that’s the only club shot of it. Well, yep. Good part. A Okay, we’re trying to build on something. 172. 172. Gosh. In between again. It’s going to be seven iron. It all depends on if this wind’s going to hurt or help. It’s pretty much directly cross. So, if we hit a cut, it’s seven iron. If we hit a draw, it’s eight. Looks like it’s a little in two. We’re going to try and hit a little cut. Seven. This is what Tiger used to do back in his prime is he would he would often times cut shots or draw shots into the wind to make it go straight. I’m not that good, but we’re going to try and do that right now. Get down. That didn’t even feel like a bad swing. What were you talking about, Tiger doing? So, I was trying to cut it into the wind. Okay. And instead, we hit a little draw and the wind just took it. You’re at seven. Beautiful. Yeah, that was a seven iron. I’m going to hit a provisional. Yeah. I don’t think I’ve ever been up there in my entire life, Rick. I’ve played here a lot of times. I’ve never been over there. That was a first. Wow. Right. Come on. Green in regulation. I’m not even going to go for the pin. fat part of the green. Yes, that’s what Tiger used to do. Be a green. First green of the day now. Come on. Let’s go. Nice swing. Celebrating the little wins today. That was actually a nice golf shot for us. That was a great golf shot. Got a provisional here, guys. After seeing that first one, we’re a little scared. That was crazy how left that went. Get off it, wind. What did you have the wind doing more? What’s that? Did you have the At first I thought the wind was directly into, but it’s a bit more off the right. I think it’s just more off the right. All right. Good shot. That was great. That was great. Um, favorite video you’ve ever made. Ooh. Oh my gosh. And And also, how do you judge it? Cuz people have asked me before and instantly you think of I don’t know, views or you think of this, but it’s like that’s not always the case, is it? For me, oftent times it’s experience, but also like I love filming any video that we’re going to we’re going to come back and get some stuff from you if that’s okay. Yeah. All right, perfect. Um, I like filming any video that I know. I’m in the middle of it. I’m like, “Wow, this video is going to do well and this is so cool.” I would say recently we did a video at a place called Wolf Creek. Oh, yeah. Yeah. And just being out there and like just seeing everything cuz that was like my dream course growing up cuz I played Tiger Woods on on PS3. Yeah. Yeah. And I just remember seeing it so much. It like felt not real when I was there. How did you play? Uh, two over. Not too bad. Not too good, not too bad. But I’d say that’s probably my favorite. What about you? It’s there’s a few different ones really. Um well, one of them was I getting opportunity to spend time with talented people. Yeah. Like whenever you get chance to have any of the any of the pros on the channel is always amazing. Certainly guys who you’ve looked up to and like you know I’ve been playing with Ricky Fowler um or like even for me like Ian Palter you know these are guys who I’ve literally grown up idolizing. Yeah. And you’re getting the chance to play golf with them. It’s wild. Um, and then just some experiences like getting to play the old course. I know you played it, you had horrendous conditions at the old course, but like getting to play I actually played the old course in reverse many years ago with Minimu Lee really. And that was genuinely one of the most special cuz nobody gets to play in reverse. Even Tigers never played it in reverse. They did. Well, so doesn’t do St. Andrews they put that on every once in a while, right? This was like even even more special occasion. Like this wasn’t part of their organized event. Oh wow. This was something that in fact Callaway set it up. This was a just a oneoff Sunday when the course is closed. No way. Literally me and Mimi. I was playing with Hickory Clubs. He was playing with his with his normal Callaway clubs. We did like alternate shots and it’s we just literally walking down the old course. No one’s out there playing it in reverse going is this real life? Yeah. Just because we kind of make a few videos on YouTube like how is this real life? It’s wild. Z Pebble Beach was another one for me. I’d love to play that. Yeah, Pebble Beach was very cool. You know what video I liked that you did? I remember forever ago. It’s one of the only YouTube golf videos that kind of like stuck in my brain. You did a video with Lee Westwood. Yeah. Did you guys go to like a public course for that video or something? Or Oh, do you mean uh I did one with Sam Horsefield. Maybe that’s what it was. I just remember you did one with Lee Westwood that I watched and I loved it. Yeah, he’s great. Lee forever ago. I’ve probably watched five YouTube golf videos in my life. No, not kidding. I watch and I remember them. May maybe 10. That’s it. You did one with Dude Perfect. I watched that one. You did one with Lee Westwood. Watch that one. And I’ve watched maybe three of Bryson’s, two of Grant’s, and a couple of ours. And that’s it. Shut up. I’m not kidding. Yeah, I reckon I’ve watched 4,000. Dude, that’s crazy. I my thing is like I do it so much now that I don’t really I don’t know. Maybe that’s I used to watch a lot more. I don’t as much now, but I used to watch everything. That’s crazy. Yeah. Before I started was when I used to watch you and that was like all I can really remember. It’s going to be inside of this tree. Beautiful, guys. Absolutely beautiful. Holy crap. This might go down as Got to be careful around here. I’m going to make this birdie. I’m going to make this birdie and I get back to two over. Garrett somehow stuck in a tree on this par three. Um, we just hit the first green regulation. I know we’ve said it a few times, but it it’s very hot and very windy and very tough. Like these greens are tiny. This one not so much. This one’s a bit bigger, but some of the other ones have been tiny. You got it. Is that it, Callaway? Oh, I got it. I got it. All right. It’s right here. It’s just a matter of if I have a swing. Okay. It’s going to be the greatest bar you guys have ever seen. Or it’s going to be a quad. I promise guys, the golf will get better today. All right. Well, maybe. Okay. I don’t feel like I don’t really have much of a shot. Okay, guys. Just got to hope this comes out nice. Okay. Whoops. Dude, I went to take my swing and that moved. Here we go. Got a chop down on it. No. Do you see it? Yeah. Okay. Now we got to get that up and down for a bogey. Woo. Not ideal. Okay. Honestly, we get this up and down for a bogey. I will be thrilled. Come on. Wow. Great shot. Thanks. Really good. In fact, thank you. Thank you. Okay, we make that for a bog. I don’t feel like a birdie. Wow. Summer it bit laggy. It’s nice to have a two foot par. Yeah, I’m jealous. Come on. This would be a great four. Yeah, this would feel like a birdie if we make this. That’s an unbelievable four. Oh my goodness. I’ll take that. That pitch you played then was really like perfect. Thank you. Well done, mate. That was so good. Ah, that was a good confidence booster. Just what is it? Three over, two over. Yeah, things could be a lot worse today. Good. Good. I’m not mad at that. Yeah. Okay. Come on. Lots of time. All right. 520 par five. It’s a dog leg right. Normally when it’s not windy, this hole plays super easy. Today it’s still going to play pretty tough. Just left that bunker. Yes. Yes. Today. Yes. Gotcha. Yeah. Get on the ground. No, it stayed in the bunker. I think it’s fine. That was awful. It’ll play though. That was awful. Just a three shot hole. Still no Still no fairways. Yeah, I want to hit the first fairway today. It’d be nice. Yeah, there she is. Finally. Now we’re flying. Yeah. Fairways and greens. The next goal is to make a birdie. There we go. Maybe like nine iron from back here. But you hit nine. Just want to give yourself like 120 in. Give yourself a full swing. I think I hit it one for 20 off the tea. I mean, why is this bung even here? I don’t know. Hey, you better be lucky it is though. I’m glad it is. Oh, look how much Oh, I could get literally I could get driver on that. Oh my gosh, you got lucky there. Sitting up perfect. So, still at the flag or just left of the flag? Yeah, I I would go at the flag. Maybe a hair left if anything. Just going to lay it up with an iron. came out a little spinny on you, but that should be fine. Yeah. On line with the flag. How far do you normally hit that? About 150. That looked like it went 120 with the wind. It did. It like stopped it. I hope. Yeah, it should be good, actually. Fairway completed. This is a uh this is a tight looking entrance to this hole. Yeah, dude. This is crazy. Don’t clip that. Tight looking entrance. Sure is to this hole. To this hole. Yeah. Super tight hole, guys. All right. One. I don’t know. This is kind of a scary shot to hit. Wind’s blowing probably 30 to 35 right now off the lake. It’s only going to get crazier unless the wind dies down throughout the day. But our next our back nine’s right along the lake. So for part two, that’s what you guys will see. But okay, 230. I’m going to go five iron. This is kind of a bold play to go for it, but just feeling aggressive right now. And that wind is going to just rip it. Get off it. No path. No path. No path. Oh, that’s frustrating. Sucks. I want petition to to ban cart paths. I don’t mind that idea. I think I don’t like have them, but make like grass cart paths cuz that is unfair. No, that sucks. Yeah, is it? 40 yards right though. four 40. They didn’t hit. I mean, that wasn’t that terrible. Yeah, I think that was more It was a good swing. It’s just you have to I I can’t get myself to aim 30 yards left to the green right now. But all right, that is harsh. Seriously, I think we’ll find it and take it unplayable. But now I’m going to tell myself aim 30 yards left and it’ll probably go straight. Watch. Five iron again. Yeah. Did what you said. Exactly. Yeah. Oh, golf is fun. Oh, we’ll find the first one and take an unplayable, I’m sure. But dang, I should have laid off. Honestly, you did the right thing. You played this whole air supposed. Exactly. Exactly. Nice little hook off the tea. Give herself a nice wedge in. Yeah, I played the hole backwards. Yeah, I should have followed your lead. What am I What am I thinking? I’m still not loving this shot into the green, if I’m honest with you. Look at how tiny it is. It is. That is a tiny green. Oh my, that’s so frustrating, man. That’s a tiny green. What the hell? And it’s so much smaller now that the wind is pushing from the left like this. If you hit the green from here, I’d be over the moon. Yeah, I’ll be very impressed. It’s 146 yards. I can’t decide how much the wind’s going to affect it. Well, I feel like I want it like a snap hook nine iron and just hold it against that wind. Mhm. 146 yards. Nine iron. Wind’s whipping off the lake off the left. Tiny looking green. I’m going to literally place as low as I possibly can. Left side of the flag. Oh, yes. Come on, Rick. Be the right number. Come on. Are you putting? I think you’re putting. I’m impressed. I mean, that looked a little deep. A little deep over the back. Maybe just on a frame. Oh, no way. I thought that was so good. Thought you were short. If anything, it’s a good shot. Great swing. It’s 146 n iron. Does the wind pick up in the UK like this? Yeah. Yeah, it get obviously on the coast it gets Yeah, I guess like especially St. Andrew and stuff like that. But the thing is though, the golf courses are designed for that. Yeah. Like here this doesn’t this for me is not a course that’s designed for wind. No. Do you get what I mean? Like you can’t you can’t run it up, can you? No. No. It’s not friendly to the wind. Did fly the green. That sucks. You find it? Yeah. Okay. So, we’re gonna have to take an unplayable and flop it over the trees. Probably. Yeah. No. I was like, can I wedge it under? I’m going to take it back there. Yeah. Oh, I got it. All right, everybody. We’re doing what we said we were going to do. Unplayable. Take it all the way back over there through the pin where the ball was. My gosh, this is quite the adventure we’ve been having today. If there’s a group over here, they’re going to be like, “What are you doing?” Oh lord. Watch this part, everybody. I’m so scared of this shot right now. Going long. I think I know the line. I love this. I really like it. Yeah, good shot. Where did that land, Rick? Uh, pin high. Ah, okay. Just off the back of the green point for birdie. Come on then. Come on. How does that not get there? All right. Well, I don’t need to see that one. Thanks, mate. It’s a good par. This would be a world class par if we can make this. In or out? Uh, you can leave it in. Come on. Pour the par. Oh. Oh. Whoa. Gee. Okay. I wanted to be scooping it up and throwing it to you and say, “Come on, let’s move on.” No, that’s fine. Really interesting hole. This one of the smallest par five greens I’ve ever seen. Yeah. Yeah. All right. Will we level it up? Three over. I feel so exhausted from this round already. It’s so hard. It’s so tough. Both three over. Both three over. Honestly, not bad. Yeah. Could be a lot worse. Yeah. This course is playing brutal. Yeah. When I woke up and walked out of the house and I felt the wind like I knew what we were up against today. 202 back straight back into wind. Yeah. I’m hitting at like 230, 225. I’m thankful I don’t have honors here, actually. I’m happy you’re the one hitting. Okay, par three. Quite a lot of par threes on this front nine. It’s the third one we’re playing. 202 ys straight back into wind. I’m going to hit a real bullet low four iron. Oh, come on, Rick. Be the number. Come on, Rick. Be the number. Sit, sit, sit. He’s so good. It’s a great swing. Yeah, that’s I don’t know what’s over the back, but hopefully it it’s fine. Grabbed on to a little bit. You should be fine. I haven’t been back there, but I don’t think there’s really anything. That was so good. Uh we’re going to try the same thing with a five iron. Come on. Yeah. Right idea. Pin eye. Right shot. Just started a little right. All good. I think I’m just literally Oh god, it’s right at the back. Pretty good swings from both of us to be honest. It looks really nice. This looks fast, guys. I probably have one of the hardest chips you can have out here. Going to have to flop it just onto the green and get it to roll the whole way. Wow. I didn’t think it was possible to leave it short. It’s a good shot though. We’ll take it. That is sat up so nicely. I feel like I’ve been stung for not to have on the stayed on the green. So, it’s rewarded me by giving me an unbelievable lie. Come on, Rick. Let’s check this one in. Let’s do a Garrett on Garrett Clark. What a good chip. Come on. Yeah. What? How has that not gone in? I was like I was walking it in with you. That’s unbelievable. That might be the nicest chip I’ve ever hit in my life. So good. Ever. So good. Oh, I thought for sure that was in. It checked and it was like perfect. Oh my goodness. Do you hear what I said as well? Let me do a Garrett Clark on Garrett Clark. So, I feel like I didn’t hear that. That’s something you would do. You would have chit that in. That’s funny, man. Clearly not. Yeah. Well done. Thanks. Well held. All right. Well, still at three. Both three over. I think a good score today I think 78 might win it. I think a good score is 78 today. Do you have like a moment in your YouTube I guess call it career? Like at the very beginning that you were like, “Okay, I can do this full-time cuz you were you were teaching professional, right?” Yeah. I mean, it was it was very gradual. So, when I first started, there was no YouTube monetization. Yeah. That wasn’t a thing really. Yeah, it wasn’t. It didn’t kick in for about I’d been doing YouTube for about two or three years. Wow. So, the whole reason why I did it was I’m a I was a golf coach. I wanted to promote myself as a golf coach. So, I did YouTube for that reason. Yeah. So, I did it for like two years and then I remember like YouTube monetization came in. I got my first check and I was like, “Okay, that’s nice.” Like, and I thought, “Well, actually, that’s worth a day of coaching. So, I’ll do one less day coaching because I’m making the money back from YouTube. And then a few months later, it’s like, well, now I’m making two days worth of coaching. Okay, I’ll do two days less coaching. And then basically over time, I went from doing six days of coaching and one day YouTube and slowly but surely the scales tipped. Yeah. Where it ended up becoming like coaching would have to happen for me at the weekend and then I had kids and family and everything else, so I couldn’t really commit to it. Yeah. So that’s when it was kind of through co I stopped coaching. Wow. But it was very like gradual. It was it didn’t just like switch. How shocked were you like when you saw the first check? I mean it was nice. I mean we’re talking like 11 years ago. So it was like it was lovely but it was like that’s nice, you know, cuz at the time it was it was costing me money. Yeah. But it was costing me money to make the YouTube videos but I was making my revenue by people coming and booking lessons with me. So that’s all you wanted. So I was making my money back in my head. Yeah, I was almost using it as a marketing tool. And then like say over time it then became That makes sense. That makes sense. A check from YouTube. Right. So four eye into the corner. So it’s a par four but not a long one. Yep. I love this tree just on the right. Just makes you think a little bit, doesn’t it? Well, that’s right where you need to hit it. It’s like at that tree pretty much. Everything bounces left. Good ball. That all right? Yeah, it’s perfect. It’s exactly where you want to be. I was toying with the idea of going fading it, drawing it, going high, and then just straight. I just Yeah, just hit it high and straight. All right. All right, I got a little five iron. Yep. Come on. Another missed fairway. That was one that I was like, “Okay, finally we’re in the fairway.” Oh, that might be my first fairway. Oh, wait. It is. I think it is. I think it is with my first ball. That’s awesome. You kind of stumbled into it then. It wasn’t like say it wasn’t. It I very much started YouTube when the term YouTuber wasn’t a thing. I I I remember I mean I remember watching back then. People used to ask, “Are you a YouTuber?” Or I’d say, you know, if someone said, “What do you do?” I was a golf coach. did a bit of YouTube on the side. Yeah. And it took it took ages and ages and ages until I was actually comfortable saying that I’m a YouTuber. Yeah. And to be honest, until it became popular. That’s crazy. You know, when kids would come up to, you know, kids would say, “Oh, oh yeah, you know, you’re a YouTuber.” When and when YouTube became Oh, what a green this is, by the way. Yeah. This is this is a good one here. When YouTuber became a an actual thing. Do you know what I mean? All right. 110. I would be in a lot better situation if I was in the fairway. This one is going to be hard to stop. Almost impossible. Um, great hole. Great looking hole. If we birdie this, if I could get it to two over par on the front, I’d be thrilled. That would be a very good score. Um, but yeah, 110 winds down. Going to have to hit like a 60° super high and soft. This is gonna be It’s gonna be a very hard shot to gauge. No. Look at that wind. Take it. Look at it. Take it. Go. Where is it? You see it? Just a nice look at birdie. Right. 56 pins off the left helping a touch. With the number with the number down the bank. Oh, that’s going to be a fast put. That is going to be a fast putt. Jeez. How’s your green regulation going on? Yeah. Zero. Zero. That that just I just came to the realization I’ve not hit a green regulation. You’ve hit two. That’s only my second. Yeah. Yeah. It’s your second one. Wow. I don’t know. It looks like we’re just short. Me and Ryder were both confused. We did not see the ball land. But um it’s actually not in a bad spot. It all depends on the lie, but I don’t mind being short here. Almost prefer where I’m at than Rick if I have a good lie. That is This is a mad green, by the way. Absolutely wild. Okay. Not great. I don’t love this lie. Oh, chippable in a bowl if we hit it. Yes. Just carry it on. Come on. That’s great. Okay. Got right under the ball. All right, Rick. This is first birdie of the day. Gee, this is a battle. Absolute battle. Leave the pin in. Yeah. See that hole where it’s got the white ring round? Yeah. I’m literally going for that. Yeah. I mean, the problem is Yeah. It It’s hit or miss. It could either break or stay above the ridge. You don’t know. Come on. See, then it stays above and doesn’t move. That’s tough. Good for speed. Yeah, it’s a good roll. I also thought the wind would like bring it more. Yeah, you would think. Okay, this would be a wonderful par if we can knock this in. Oh my goodness. We are grinding today. Oh my goodness. We are grinding today. Wow. Wowers. Okay, I’ll take that. Great work. Thank you. Okay, come on then. No, no, no, no, no. Wow. I think I’m further away. Yeah, maybe. So, about the same length. Oh. Oh, man. How things can change? Yeah. Oh, that’s a bad three put. takes me to four over Garrett stays at three after that recovery. I can’t believe that. So, when did you when did you go to the the deep dark place of the claw? So many years ago. The claw. Yeah. Started it on like the little two-footers. Yeah. And over time it’s just I can do it as far back as I want now. Yeah. Now I’m the same way. It’s it’s a tough place to be when you when you work your way all the way down in the putting to where you’re using the car. Yeah. But I’m not being funny. Scottish effer Yeah. uses it. Like Tommy Fleetwood uses it. Like loads of guys use it. I think it’s it feels way better to me. Stabilizes the face. Stops any any right hand movement. Exactly. Okay. Final hole on this video. Ninth hole. Par four. Dog leg. Right. Garrett takes a one shot lead. Wow. I mean, it’s been scrappy, but there’s also been some pretty good golf. There’s been two greens of regulation today and two fairways. So, you’ve done well to shoot only only be three over by hitting zero greens. I’m We’re trying to make it work, guys. But hole nine. This is a tough hole today into the win. Par four. Try to keep it low. Just in the roof on the right. Did you guys see it land? I did see it land. See the three trees? Yep. In between tree, middle tree and right tree. Okay. Yeah, that’s fine. I mean, on a normal day, that’s typically perfect, but it’s so into the wind, it’s not going to be too good. Why is there divots on this T? I don’t know whose bright idea it was to lay up on this hole today, but that is crazy. Stop it. Get lucky. Is that wet over there? Yeah. Drive has been so bad. I mean, there’s a chance we’re both dropping on this hole. So, it’s not looking good. Okay. I must have been in the hazard. So, got to take a drop. Drive’s not been my friend recently. Let me go four iron. Oh, that is awful. That was such a bad strike. I must have got the craziest bounce ever. I have no clue how I was this far up, guys. I I’ve never been this far up on this hole and it’s super into the wind. So, I’m not really sure what happened, but it must have hit cart path probably back there and just shot all the way up here. I don’t know. Crazy. Uh, lucky break, but 120. It’s insane. Normally I have Oh, there it is. Normally I have like 175 with this wind direction. Um, back pen kind of in between two different clubs right here. We go 52. I have a feeling this is not going to come out super spinny. No way. That’s long. There is no way. There is no way. Literally can’t hit a green. Greenless. That was the best swing of the day, too. Dang. Nine holes greenless. Oh, that was so good, too. Dang it. Best swing of the day for sure. By far right there. We still didn’t hit a green. Okay. Got to get this up and down for bogey. Come on. Pins at the back into wind. I can be aggressive. Come on. Come on. Wow. That will be a very good bogey if he can make that. Fighting. Fighting as much as I can here. Yeah, there’s been some nice chips actually getting in getting um what’s the right word? No, motivated um inspired getting inspired by Garrick cuz his short game’s so good. I need to make sure my short game’s good. All right, y’all. This This is a shot that is going to be very tough to get up and down, but going to probably just try and loft it up there. Let the slope do the work. Oh my goodness. Oh my god. I’ve never seen anything like that in my life. I’ In all my days of playing golf, I’ve never seen that before in my life. That that that went from nearly the greatest three. Oh wow. To that. Well guys, [Laughter] oh my god, that was mad. Nine holes, no green. Let’s see if we can finish with another crazy par. If if you box this, this would be insane. Yeah, this would be this would be pretty wild. Good roll. Okay. Kind of a pillow fight. No birdies on the front nine. So you finished four. Four over. Yep. This to stay at five. Well, sorry. This to go to five. Yes. Yes. Come on, Rick. Oh, how has that not gone in? That is the weirdest front line of golf ever in it. Oh, that was crazy. Oh, that was that was crazy. Don’t even know what to think, guys. Thanks for watching. That wasn’t great golf. Four over play six over as we reach the bat nine. It’s going to be on Garrett’s channel tomorrow. Uh, it’s great getting to play. We’ve never played more than this many holes together now on our own. I think we’ve done nine before on our own. Yeah, never more than this. First time, man. How weird is that as well? Started with a double, finished with a double. You nearly had a chip and eagle. I had almost two like ridiculous nine hole. That was class. Really good fun. We’ll see what the back nine has in store.

Can we get Sean and Pete against Rick and Garrett?
Gabriel Writer is such a crazy pull as far as YouTube golfers go! I remember waiting for every single upload of his.
Not G just bold facing lying 😂😂😂
“Yeah, I’ve only watched 7 YouTube golf videos in my life…” Not a chance. Never seen a single video of Bob Does Sports, ey? Never watched Phil and Grants stuff? Completely lied to half the guys on good good’s channel when you say you love their content? 😂 Bruh…
G became such bad player.
What blows my mind now is Rick used to give golf lessons. Sorry Rick.
Which shows that Trump's final products are of outstanding quality…which is why the US is headed in that direction again.

Rick is definately who got me into this whole thing. You guys are both awesome!
Huge SHOUT OUT to Rick for mentioning Mark Crossfield!! I literally made so many club selections based on his reviews and would’ve never known who you were without Mark. You’re a true gentleman Rick! 🎉
I feel like Rick would shave 3-4 strokes off a round if he would just slow is backswing down.
Rick……….your beard game is off the charts!!!!
in a video like this Ricks always try to swing a little harder n faster… n it never goes his way.

😮
How did that not go in. 🤷🏻♂️🏌
Great content Rick! As always!
The weather seemed tough, but that golf course looks pretty bad….. Hole 6’s pin was relocated like 40 times and all within 6 inches to a foot of each other.
Wonder if anyone goes in the bunkuh
Great video guys, I loved all the extra drone footage around the greens. It really gives us a better understanding of the course layout and where you guys are located.
if you hit a cart path it should be a reload without penalty. we have power lines crossing one of the courses i play. if you hit a power line you have to play again without penalty.
That driver gives me the fear 🤣
Mark Crossfield is the real OG. Super sad that he isnt in any of competitive series. It would be absolute class for Rick to have him on for match.
Love your videos Rick, thanks for all your hard work, need to see you in a good good video soon.
