If you’re going to make a par4 drivable, it has to you have to give it an opportunity. And there really is no opportunity to run the ball up here on a green that’s that’s propped up in the air like 12 is. Oh, or you could just do that. Yeah, that’s easy. Hardest thing to do is qualify on Monday. There aren’t many spots. Sometimes there’s four, sometimes there’s just three. We know that VJ’s had some problems with his feet. So it won’t be another eagle, but the birdies are piling up for Matt Gole. Cannot go long here. It’ll go all the way down to 13th T. It’s on a nice line. What a good golf shot that is. Maybe it’s your week when you see something like that happen. when you’ve got the rain coming down, a micro burst. Your back is soaking wet. May birdie here yesterday too at the tail end of the day. Looking to cap his Saturday with another. Yeah, just three birdies yesterday and he made one of them and he made another one. How about that? Played 18. Two under par two rounds at 17 just earlier. This was T-shot of Chad Campbell. Man, I love this guy’s golf swing. I’m waiting for him to break through and win out here cuz that’s what we’re used to seeing. When I watch Chad Campbell swing the golf club, I expect to see that down the middle on the green in the hole for Birdie. Bubbling up today, including Cameron Percy. He’s got eight top 10s on the season. Birdie does opening hole. Bango. Tommy Gayy is in the last group of the day with Percy and Matt Gole. This at the fourth. Two gloves. I like that. That’s good. You take it. That’s all you goes with. No gloves. One foot. He’s a little surfer. Little surfer boy. Yeah. Good job. Let’s go surfing now, everybody. Oh, how about Tommy Gay? That was close to par. Yeah. Keep it right here at the ninth. That’s a putter out for Brendan Jones. Oh, yes. Big conversion. This just a minute ago up at the 11th. The second shot for Yang. Probably one of the top five reliable ball strikers out here on the champions tier. former up to 12. Brilliant recovery shot from VJ Singh and he shakes that one in for birdie. Here comes comes VJ. Had a feeling this would be the option for VJ Singh. Fourth shot. Yeah, look. He’s got to go up over the nose of that bunker and then left. Oh, that’s got to sit. It’s got just sit. the premium mark, the top 72 to get in to those playoffs. PJ Singh trying to salvage par here. Wow, that is a huge putt to save Par. Second on the way for Gainy at 12. Yeah, taking a chance from 83 yds, pressing it back there. And that is a beautiful shot. It was an aggressive shot. It going to pay off. Yeah, the challenge here isn’t so much the break, it’s just getting the right speed to get it up the hill close to the hole. He did get it up the hill, but that’s not bad. Really gives him a chance to make five. Reachable par five coming up. Wow, that is huge. drops just one and now is the co-leader including Tommy Gaty who’s going to pick up his third birdie of the day and that is now your co-leader at 11 under par actual will be in his way takes it right around it see it’s going up the right hand side and it’ll be in that little pitching area shortsighted though yeah come back a little bit further than we’ve seen. Yeah, good 20 feet of that Trinity Zoya to go through. He’s got putter out. Once he gets on the green, it’ll go a little bit left. No. Oh, just about brings him to his knees. Guess he chose wisely just a moment ago here. Peter up at 17. T shot of Buickley. Here’s another player who I uh expect to win out here maybe next year, maybe next season. Such a wonderful swinger of the golf club. Could this be Chad’s week? If he gets this to go in, which he does, it gets him to nine. Peter trying to hit a draw down wind out of the rough. He will be standing in the penalty area, but he’s got a lot of green to work with and a good lie. What a shot. That’s what you have to do with a break like that. Make make birdie. So an eagle at 13 for Gainy and a birdie at 15. That’s just fine. He adds to his lead. Okay, birdies for all three guys in the final group here as they head for 16. He hasn’t had the best of days. I expected him to be right there. This day is about to get a little better as we spoke of. He’s driven it beautifully this week. 37 of 41 fairways. He needs one more. Wasting no time at all hitting a big old high cut against the wind. And this is absolutely perfect. Where is it? There she blows right there. Whoa, that’s long, too. That’s a control spin. Hit it, man. Just hit it. Oh my gosh. Asking for a little assist from the wind. I don’t think he needed very much. Wow. What a shot. I think he’s I don’t think he’s taking any time. He knows what he needs, John. How about a birdie? Yeah, do it in style. He was the qualifier on Tuesday. He’s the champion on Sunday. Victory number one for Two Gloves. He takes down the title at the Constellation Furan friends. What a story. What a story for Tommy Gayy. Classy in defeat, both Matt Gole and Cameron Percy, but uh they knew they were in a tussle with this man and he does not give an inch. Didn’t need birdie at the last, but why not? Why not? That’s right. Slam the door shut with the 66 on Sunday. And the way he’s had to grind this season just to get into these events very emblematic of the overall arc and trajectory of his career. Tommy Gayy is the epitome of what a grinder is at the professional level.
