WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University women’s golf team is currently in eighth place following 36 holes of golf at the Princeton Invitational after the team carded a 28-over 596 (302-294) in Princeton, New Jersey. The 13-team field is playing the par-71, 6,086-yard course at Springdale Golf Club. The host Tigers are currently leading the field at 4-over 572 (288-284).

HOW IT HAPPENED


A pair of newcomers are the top Hoyas on the leaderboard following 36 holes as Milla Sagel and Mimi Burton are both tied for 20th at 5-over 147. Sagel turned in cards of 73 and 74 in the first and second rounds, respectively. For the day, she recorded three birdies (2/1) and 25 pars (12/13).
Burton’s cards of 73 and 74 matched Sagel’s performance. Her day was fueled by four birdies (3/1) and 24 pars (11/13).
Another pair of Hoyas are sitting in a tie for 41st as Sunny Wang and Georgia Ruffolo are both at 9-over 151. Wang Tallied a five birdies (3/2) to go along with 18 pars (7/11) while turning in cards of 77 and 74.
Gabriella Eifrig is the fifth Hoya on the leaderboard as she sits in 57th place at 14-over 156 (80-76). Eifrig managed four birdies (1/3) and 17 pars (9/8).
Olivia Ty rounds out the Hoyas on the leaderboard at 27-over 169 (85-84) to sit in a tie for 75th. She tallied one birdie (0/1) to go along with 16 pars (9/7).

Georgetown closes the fall slate at the Lady Blue Hen Invitational, hosted by the University of Delaware at the Rehoboth Beach Country Club in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware on October 18-19.
