South Dakota State hosts the Fall Jackrabbit Invitational this weekend at The Falls at Grand Falls Golf Club and Casino in Larchwood, Iowa.

COURSE INFORMATION
The Falls was designed by Rees Jones, a designer of more than 100 golf courses worldwide. Jones’ courses have hosted 16 major championships, six Ryder Cups, two Walker Cups and two Presidents Cups.Spanning over 7,100 yards, Grand Falls’ world-class golf course offers panoramic views of the pastoral countryside and includes a 30-foot waterfall that flows into a 12-acre lake, resulting in a memorable golfing experience for golfers of every ability level. Complementing this beautiful golf course is a full-service Golf Shop, luxurious hotel, top-notch live entertainment, a relaxing spa and one-of-a-kind shopping and dining. Simply stated, there is nothing else like it in the tri-state region.

OF NOTE…
This is South Dakota State’s first time hosting in the region since the fall of 2022, when the team hosted at the Brookings Country Club.
McKenzie Mages has led the Jackrabbits in all three events so far this season. She is averaging 74.1 shots through eight rounds of action.
All eight Jackrabbits are slated to compete for the first time this season.
Grand Falls is located about 80 minutes from Brookings and 25 minutes from Sioux Falls.
LAST TIME OUT
The South Dakota State women’s golf team finished in ninth place out of 14 participating teams at the Johnie Imes Invitational. The event was shorted to 36 holes due to weather. The Jackrbabits posted a +33 team score over two rounds.
Hannah Boraas and McKenzie Mages tied for 31st place (+7) to lead the team. Riko Danjo finished a few shots behind the leading duo. Danjo and tied for 47th place on the final leaderboard. Reese Jansa tied for 63rd (+14) and Molly O’Hara tied for 75th place (+21). Hannah Pettitt competed individually for the Jacks. She tied for 39th place with a +8 scorecard.
