DeKalb girls golf preps for state finals after winning regional crown
When it comes to the Cowg girls golf, winning championships is sort of par for the course. Over the weekend, the Barrens bringing home their first regional title since 2009, edging second place Northridge by three strokes with Carol coming in third. Now, Decal is making its second straight trip to the state finals this coming weekend. They’re looking forward to competing against the state’s best at Prairie View in Caramel. We all had a really great attitude and just we all knew that we could uh win regionals and that’s what happened. I think the whole state experience is really amazing and I’m just so blessed that uh we get to go down for the second year in a row. Even though like they’re the best of the best, we have to keep in mind like we are we made it there and we’re capable of like placing top three or five. We’re just like really lucky to be down there and have a good time. We’ve played that course multiple times, so we know what it’s going to be like. It’s going to be tough, but I mean, hopefully it’s goes good. to Cap girls golf.
