Captains were a hot topic of conversation during the 2025 Ryder Cup.
Keegan Bradley drew the ire of many for trotting out the team of Collin Morikawa and Harris English on back-to-back days, while Luke Donald was praised for his pairings en route to another European victory.
It looks like Keegan will have a better chance of playing on the 2027 Ryder Cup team than captaining it, at least according to the odds.
SportsBetting.ag released odds for the 2027 captains this morning, and Tiger Woods is one of the favorites for Team USA.
Woods is not THE favorite, however. That distinction goes to Brandt Snedeker, who was an assistant captain at Bethpage.
On the European side, Donald would be an obvious choice to return in quest for a three-peat, but Justin Rose is the favorite. If Rose continues to play at an elite level over the next two years, however, it would be difficult to make him captain instead of a playing team member.
Additionally, there are early odds for the 2027 Cup and the Europeans are favored to pull off the elusive three-peat.

[Music] Captains were a hot topic at the 2025 Rder Cup and Keegan Bradley caught plenty of heat for his pairings. Meanwhile, Luke Donald was celebrated as Europe marched to another win. Looking ahead to 2027, Bradley’s more likely to tee it up than wear the captain’s headset. According to sportsbetting.ag, Tiger Woods is one of the favorites to lead team USA, but not the favorite. That title goes to Brandt Snedeker, fresh off his stint as an assistant captain at uh Bet Page. On the European side, Justin Rose who won some matches leads the odds at two to one, just ahead of Luke Donald, who would be going for three in a row. But if Rose keeps playing elite golf, it’ll be tough to pick him as captain instead of a player. And yes, the early odds are already in. And Europe is favored to pull off a three repeat in 2027 at a Dare Manor in Ireland. Who you got?
