I used to hate this baseball glove I bought it during my freshman year of college with money I earned while delivering pizza and as a lot of you guys know when you’re 18 years old money is little and far between when it finally came I was so happy about it that I even made a video inspired by my favorite YouTuber but a couple days later I took it to one of our morning workouts to play catch with one of my teammates afterwards and one of my coaches noticed it sitting next to me walked over put it on his hand and started turning it over I was excited to share with him all the little details and features that I had picked out for it but before I could say anything he started making fun of me in the glove he told me that I was never going to do anything worthy of a $500 glove and I could have explained to him that it was only $150 but that shouldn’t have mattered because even if it was $1,000 the only thing that did matter was that I liked it I was so embarrassed and ashamed that I told the small crowd that had gathered to see what he was laughing at that it was a Christmas gift and that I thought it was stupid too I shoved the glove in my backpack I never brought it to another practice and even though our season got canceled a couple months later because I felt so out of place I never returned to college baseball

I hate coaches like this, just because they don’t like what you do doesn’t mean you have to stop, just tell your coach “the fuck are you gonna do about it?” Not give a fuck and walk away

Wow, baseball is so expensive it’s crazy a dumb coach can’t even give you props on your glove, no matter how much I don’t like some of the gloves bright colors, I always compliment any glove a player has especially if they picked it out, bcuz I don’t want them to lose confidence, which is very important in baseball, it’s actually a very overlooked part of the game
