The 2025 Ryder Cup is the 45th edition and runs between September 25 – September 28. Luke Donald is the European Team Captain and Keegan Bradley is the U.S. Team Captain. The European Team are the reigning champion after winning 16 ½ – 11 ½ at Marco Simone in 2023. Every two years, 24 of the best players from Europe and the United States go head-to-head in match play competition. Drama, tension, incredible golf, camaraderie and sportsmanship are served in equal measure, captivating an audience of millions around the world. It’s an event that transcends sport, yet remains true to the spirit of its founder, Samuel Ryder.

[Applause] It was a long couple of days as you searched for your first point. What mentality did you bring to the golf course for Sunday singles? Yeah, just to keep fighting. Um, battled really hard yesterday and and the first day. Things just did not work out the way uh the way I anticipated them, but I was proud to be able to get a point today. And I mean, it’s tough. I mean, playing all five matches is a grind. I mean, Rory and I even chatted about that a little bit today. It’s a it was a grind. And um I’m pretty tired, but I’m proud of the fight that our team showed. You know, Keegan did a good job putting us in a position and keeping the energy up and the guys were motivated to come out and play and we showed a lot of fight today and we’ll see what happens. You know, we still got a fighting chance. On that point, your captain lives and dies with every shot struck out here as you know. How much of an inspirational character has he been in the entire runup and this week at the RDER Cup? Ke has been amazing. All all our all our vice captains have been great. Um this this has been a really special team and it’s been a lot of fun. And um this week did not go how I anticipated going for myself and you know I’m a little bit bummed but these guys on this team that picked me up when I needed last night and we got a great team. Why is this so emotional for you now? I mean we still got a fighting chance. You know it’s uh it’s something that means a lot to us and like I said those are you know I love these guys on this team. It’s a special group and um you know the fight that these guys showed today, the fight that Bryson showed today and yesterday. I mean, the way he played in our match in the afternoon was amazing, and I I don’t think I could have done what I did in my match today if if he didn’t do what he was doing in front of me. I mean, he was he’s an emotional leader of our team, and he’s been great, and uh you know, I’m proud to be battling with with guys like that out here. Thanks, Scotty. Appreciate it. Thanks. The golf was brilliant, some of the crowd were disgraceful, Bryson and Justin Thomas should be ashamed of themselves , emotion is great but they acted way outside the spirit of the game, and some people who were doubting the selection of Matt Fitzpatrick should also feel a little Silly.
