Tee heights

Do you change the height of your tee for different types of tee shots?
.
Well if you dont then maybe it is something to consider or at least try
.
A lower tee will promote more of a downward attack angle, resulting in more spin but means there is more room for error and with the less distance that it will give then there is less chance for the shot to drift off-line
.
Your stock tee height in general should be with the ball half above the top of the club face. This is in between a high and low tee height but also gives a good combination of not being too high where its maybe more difficult to make a good contact but also not too low where you have to strike down on it and lose distance
.
Then the high tee allows you to really launch the ball high in the air giving the best chance of a high launch low spin trajectory which will maximise the distance from your clubhead speed. Its worth keeping in mind that there is more risk of a mis strike and with the added distance more chance of missing the fairway
.
This is a guide and not always the best for everyone but definitely can give a good reference point if you have been struggling with deciding on your tee heights
