Emotions ran high during Saturday’s RDER Cup fourball matches when Scotty Sheffller’s caddy Ted Scott confronted European vice captain Franchesco Molinari and Tommy Fleetwood near the 15th hole. The altercation followed Bryson Dashambo’s response to Justin Rose’s fist pump after a successful putt. Dashambo approached Fleetwood and Scott joined in, engaging in a tense exchange with Rose until Molinari stepped in. The situation nearly escalated when Scott lightly shoved Molinari, but Fleetwood and his caddy quickly intervened. Dshambo calmed the scene by urging, “Let’s play.” as Rose pardred the 16th hole to secure Europe’s 3-2 win. The match concluded with handshakes and Rose later called the incident a shame while praising the match’s quality and Fleetwood’s standout performance during a competitive back nine.
