A Norwich-based housebuilder’s charity golf tournament raised more than £8,000 for Autism Anglia.

A total of 72 golfers took to the fairways at Barnham Broom Golf Club in Norwich in aid of Barratt and David Wilson Homes Anglia’s Charity of the Year.

The teams of four included staff, suppliers and sub-contractors, with Norfolk Drywall swinging into first place and receiving a trophy.

The event raised a total of £8,288 and the funds will be matched by the housebuilder’s parent company, Barratt Redrow.

Autism Anglia, based in Colchester, is dedicated to enhancing the lives of autistic children, adults and their families across across Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk.

With services spanning education, adult residential care, supported living, and community outreach, the charity provides vital, tailored support to help individuals thrive in their own way.

Autism Anglia also runs specialist schools, delivers professional autism training, and offers advocacy to empower people on the autism spectrum.

“We are so grateful to Barratt and David Wilson Homes for not only arranging days like this to fundraise for us, but also creating opportunities to raise awareness of Autism Anglia and our services,” said Anna Rogers, from Autism Anglia.

“We appreciate such opportunities to increase acceptance of autistic people in our communities and workplaces, and to reach people that may require support for a family member or themselves.”

As Barratt and David Wilson Homes Anglia’s Charity of the Year for 2025, Autism Anglia will continue to benefit from the developer’s corporate fundraising events throughout the year.

“Our charity golf day is always a fantastic occasion and a highlight of our fundraising calendar,” said Simon Wood, managing director at Barratt and David Wilson Homes Anglia.

“We’re extremely grateful to everyone who came along and took part – their generosity will go a long way towards supporting the important work of Autism Anglia.”
