Charlie Woods could not match his day one performance that included eight birdies as he wrapped up tournament play in Naples with an even-par round.

Woods, a junior at the Benjamin School and the son of legendary golfer Tiger Woods, shot 72 on Saturday, Sept. 27, and finished tied for fourth with a 4-under total 140 for the two-day South Florida PGA Junior Golf West Coast High School Championship at The Club at TwinEagles Talon Course.

The tournament, featuring players from 16 high schools, was played on the Talon Course, which is a Par 72 at 6,447 yards.

Woods started out rough with bogeys on three of his first four holes before a par on No. 7. He started the back nine with a bogey on No. 10 but pulled even for the day with birdies on 13, 16, and 17. Community School of Naples’ Spencer Ives and Benjamin’s Clint Lewis tied Woods with 4-unders.

Woods’ score helped Benjamin win the team event with a 1-over with Sarasota High in second place at 5-over and Barron Collier third with a 14-over.

Barron Collier’s Jack Ryan Donovan and Fort Myers High freshman Henry Liebwein, who shot a 7-under Saturday, tied for first with 9-under 135s with Donovan taking the tiebreaker on the second playoff hole. Sarasota High School senior Evan Booth, the first-round leader, finished in third with a 5-under 139.
