DEGRAY, Ark. — The Fouke Panthers are conference champions once again.

The Fouke boys golf team recently competed in the Conference 5-3A tournament in DeGray, and the Panthers walked away as conference champions for the third consecutive year. Fouke finished with a team score of 236, finishing several strokes ahead of second-place Jessieville.

Brody Bulkley earned the honor of being the tournament’s top medalist, shooting a 71. Garyson McAdams finished second with a 77.

Rounding out the top three scores that were used was River Dobson and his 88. Cameron Thomas shot a 101 for the Panthers, who will compete in the 3A state tournament in Melbourne.

Head coach Rusty Bulkley is excited for his players.

“We are excited to be competing for the state championship again. Only 12 golfers from our conference get to compete in the state championship. This is an experience that these boys will never forget,” he said.

The 3A state tournament will take place at Cooper’s Hawk Golf Course in October.
