Well day one was fun wasn’t it? Shall we do it all again?

What a stunning start by Luke Donald’s Europeans to take a 5½-2½ lead from the opening day at Bethpage Black as they look for a first Ryder Cup away win since 2012.

Yes, Rory McIlroy could have made it 6-3 with the last putt of the day, but the visitors would have bitten your hand off for a day one lead, and there’s no doubt they played the better golf.

Jon Rahm was immense, Tommy Fleetwood unflappable and Rory McIlroy focused, while world number one Scottie Scheffler was rattled and miles off his game.

But for Patrick Cantlay the USA could already be dead and buried, but they’re very much not, and things can change very quickly in the Ryder Cup.

So don’t go anywhere as we take you through what should be another incredible day of golfing action.
