President Donald Trump’s eldest grandchild, Kai Trump, joined her grandfather on a quick Friday trip to the Ryder Cup, a golf tournament between American and European teams held on Long Island, New York.
In the words of the president, they were going to show support because the U.S. team was “not doing so well.”
But Kai Trump meant business: The 18-year-old was seen trailing President Trump before a gaggle of news cameras in one of her new items of merchandise, a white sweatshirt featuring her initials and signature that is priced at a cool $130.
Or, sort of. The color combination she wore Friday is not (yet?) available on her website. The sweatshirts come in just a few solid colors, with a “KT” logo printed in white or green on the front, the teen’s signature on the sleeve and her first name on the back neckline.
Kai is the daughter of Donald Trump Jr. and his ex-wife, Vanessa, who share a total of five children.

In recent years she has displayed an acute interest in golf — her verified Instagram handle is “kaitrumpgolfer.”
Kai launched the line just a day ago on the platform, writing, “This collection is something I’ve dreamed about for a long time.”
“I wanted to create a piece that isn’t just merch but a staple you can wear anywhere,” she wrote. “There are Clean pieces you can mix, match, and make your own. I can’t wait to see how you style them!”
The White House appears in the background of her promotional photographs, drawing ethical questions from some in the comments. The entire Trump family, though, has long eschewed ethics while their patriarch sits in the nation’s highest office, using their platforms to hawk meme coins, cellphones and other ephemera.

The teen has been stepping into the spotlight more over the past year, even speaking onstage during the 2024 Republican National Convention.
She runs a YouTube page where her 1.2 million subscribers can get a more personal glimpse into her life, including such milestones as starting her senior year of high school, getting her wisdom teeth removed and surprising her best friend by having her Bronco covered in Barbie pink for her birthday. Regular teen stuff.
