Tiger Woods will make a comeback to competitive golf at the Hero World Challenge 2023 after withdrawing from his last pro tournament in April due to injury.
The 15-time major and 82-time PGA Tour winner was involved in a car crash two years ago, suffering severe leg injuries, and pulled out in the third round of The Masters 2023 at the Augusta National seven months ago after experiencing “constant” pain in his right ankle.
It was his last competitive appearance before undergoing subtalar fusion surgery in May.
Woods missed the following three men’s majors to prioritise his recovery. In the meantime, he has appeared at several golf tournaments in support of his son Charlie, occasionally even acting as his caddie.
