Hey everyone, JJ here. Uh, just going through my RDER Cup footwear from Pro Golf and uh, we’re going to get some first impressions and take a look at how they came out. [Music] So, when we first met with JJ, uh the first thing we wanted to know is what do you want out of a colorway for Ryder Cup? What kind of colors do you want to see on your shoes? What excites you? What what are you looking forward to most? Obviously, with USA kind of being a main theme of his, it became pretty easy to do red, white, and blue. Uh and so from there, other things that he said he was interested in were um his hometown in LA. um obviously the importance of New York on the tournament and on him uh getting there is a huge deal for him. So, we really wanted to start telling this sort of uh by coastal story, left foot being more about his hometown in LA, uh Hollywood, beaches, you know, SoCal. Um you see the sort of like overall like coloration just being generally blue. And then on the right foot, you see the overall coloration being red. That’s supposed to indicate the Big Apple. Um and you’ll see some details of New York where the Ryder Cup will be played. Nice and clean, all white, blue on the left foot. I like that with some stars and stripes on the uh back heel tab. Right foot’s got red. Um we have the red fade from dark red to yellow. So that’s supposed to kind of resemble the fade and discoloration on an apple. Obviously being the big apple colorway. That was really exciting for us. The outsole, again, electroplated red. When JJ turns his foot over, it’s going to be awesome on camera. You’re going to see that high viz red. And then on the tongue, we have this Statue of Liberty sort of deboss print. Wow, that’s that’s a lot of cool detail. The light blue faded cat, which is kind of like the ocean waves, Pacific Ocean in California. That’s clean from dark blue to light blue. And what that’s supposed to represent is the sort of like clashing of waves or crashing of waves in uh the SoCal beaches. Um you can see also details are on the tongue pull tab. There’s a little California bear with a surfboard. Very clean California bear. I love that with a surfboard. I love that. Maybe we could have did a skateboard, but I I do surfing, too. From there, we we had that little detail on the back heel pull tab. You’ll see this um LA city seal nod. Um basically, in the top lefthand corner, there’s some stars and stripes. Um and they’re basically two rows of stars with a bunch of different stripes. We put his wife and kids initials on the back. The you know, the initials obviously nice little little touch there, too. Yeah, it makes me feel like it’s, you know, it’s my whole team’s involved, including my family, which are a biggest part of where where they’ve gotten me, you know, to this day. So, it’s I’m glad to to show them a little support there on the shoe. That’s awesome. And then on the inside, we did uh one of his favorite futures quotes. He quoted after he won the US Open. He worked on trying to explain it to the audience. I’m not going to even try. Um, but basically it’s his favorite quote about just being persistent and doing your best and glory will follow. I like the soul, the insole. What is that? Oh, that’s my uh Confucious quote that I used in my post conference uh uh presser. That’s awesome. And then your little logo on the heel as well. Yeah, I love that. I got a logo. I made it. On the bottom part of the sock liner, we have a silhouette of his game w or tournament winning putt for the US Open. Uh, which was, you know, electric for us and we just really wanted to kind of have this sort of exude confidence and when he puts on a shoe, he looks at that and remembers how great he can be. So, yeah, I know I’m going to feel good and now I know I’m going to play good. So, thanks to you guys and everyone at Puma Golf that, you know, have been supporting me this whole way and just really, you know, making me feel the best I can possibly feel in what I wear. And, uh, you know, that that’s such a huge component for us players. And I’m ready to represent the USA and, you know, represent Puma Golf in these sweet, sweet shoes. So, I’m super excited to see him in person.
