  1. I’m pretty amazed they broke up Hovland and Aberg after the 2023 performance.

Surely you just stick Bob with Rose?

I know they never practiced together and probably should have seen this coming in fairness

  2. The Aberg & Fitzpatrick pairing is a strange one to me – I’d prefer to see Rose or Lowry in there over Fitzpatrick

All the other pairings look strong though so hopefully Europe can still win the session

Bryson and JT could easily get beat, I think they will.

Not sure why morikawa is getting the start here, much rather have Ben griffin playing

  5. MrBIGtinyHappy

I did not expect Luke to split Ludvig & Viktor

Morikawa and English are a weird pairing, fit-wise. Young/Morikawa makes more sense for the format. Obviously the game isn’t played on paper so I’m pumped to see how it works out.

Alright lads. Big game. Don’t over-do it early. Nothing stupid out there……

    Game 1: Rahm & Hatton v Dechambeau & Thomas.

Alright we’ll give you Yanks the second match up but that’s all you’re getting. 3-1 Europe.

Some interesting match ups. A few weird things from the US perspective. Foursomes is the most unforgiving format, and you’ve sent out your two least in form players (Morikawa and Shauffle) and a guy who cannot hit an iron to save his life (Dechambeau)

Man that’s ridiculously early in the morning.

West coast people will still be sleeping!

  11. English/Morikawa is ranked 130 out of 132 possible pairings on datagolf… I also hate JT playing 4-somes because of how inconsistent his driver has been and how it can immediately take him out of holes, but I guess you give him the benefit of the doubt in the Ryder cup.

SIXTEEN! minutes between tee times?!!? Not seven like my local mini??? And I thought we were gonna use the home field to our advantage….

I like these matches. Actually feel compelled to try to watch

Clear advantage for the Euros in match 3, I love the US in match 2, Match 1 is going to be absolutely emotionally unhinged, and match 4 should be real tight. I fucking love the Ryder Cup.

  15. Treadmiler

Not feeling confident this year for the Americans

  16. US needs to win matches 2&4. 3 looks like it goes to the Euros. 1 is going to be insane, Bryson needs to set the tone.

  17. Gmoney1412

Match 1 is really 4 nut cases hell in the cell match

Any of you muppets who don’t think JT and Bryson are a good team are just not seeing what USA is trying to do. Bethpage is notorious for getting punished off the Tee because of the long cut, but it is probably the shortest it’s ever been. It’s going to be smash driver from Bryson and JT is filthy around the greens. ALSO these two are probably the most Patriotic and biggest personalities while playing.

  19. PoolSnark

Why don’t Americans make a stand and call it alternate shot, not foursomes, a name even newbies can understand?

Hatton is the wildcard in the whole thing. He will either A. Come out on fire. Or B. Break a club over his knee and stab a competitor in the neck with it. Or C. Break a club over his knee and stab himself in the neck with it.

    There are no other options.
