Canterbury’s top junior golfers are stepping into the 2025 representative season with some serious support behind them, thanks to Sir Bob Charles Golf Centre.
The centre is providing full access to all 25 members of the Canterbury Golf Talent Development Programme (TDP), giving them the chance to train and develop in a world-class environment ahead of a busy season. With the boys’ and girls’ teams announced last week and the teams playing in the North Island this week, the timing couldn’t be better.
Having opened recently in Christchurch, the Sir Bob Charles Golf Centre is already recognised as a leader in golfing innovation in New Zealand. From its high-tech driving range to the 18-hole putting course, the facilities are designed to help players of all levels – from beginners to representatives preparing for competitive play.
This is the second year Canterbury TDP members have received this level of support from the centre, and it’s already proving invaluable. Partnerships like this make a huge difference. It gives our aspiring juniors access to resources that help them grow not just as players, but as future ambassadors of Canterbury golf.
So, if you’re down at the centre and spot a few Canterbury uniforms on the greens, be sure to say hello and wish them luck. They’ve got an exciting rep season ahead, thanks to Canterbury Golf and the Sir Bob Charles Golf Centre.
