Hit the golf ball further with less effort #golfcoach #golf #golftechnique #golfswing #golflesson
Stop trying to hit the ball harder. Hit it further the easy way. Now, the key on how we get distance is by utilizing the ground properly. What we want to do is we want to properly load into our front leg to explode up through the impact zone and use the ground. But the other key element is we want to properly load the club. And this is where gravity comes into it. When you’re reaching the top of your back swing, you need to be patient. Don’t quickly spin back and try to hit the ball. What we need to do is have patience and properly load our body and our club to allow us to then use the ground and push up through impact. When we are getting to the top of our back swing, it’s going to feel like it takes a lot of time. And this will feel really odd because most people are used to being really quick. I want you to feel like it’s almost slow motion of letting the club drop. I’ll show this face on. See how my wrists and arms are then loading and starting to drop down. This is the proper loading of the club. When we combine this with loading into our lead leg, we can then explode up and throw the club through the impact zone. So feel loose. If you are really tense, you are not going to be able to do this. Relax your wrists a bit. Not saying have a really light grip on the club, but relax your wrists and your forearms. Then on the back swing, feel like you are letting the club start to just drop a little bit naturally. That is the feeling we want from our arms and the club. At the same time as doing this, I want you to feel like you are loading pressure down into your lead leg. So when we hit the end of our back swing, it will look like this. That is the end of our back swing position. We’ve already transferred our pressure forward. This is key. As we load, I want to load pressure into my front leg as well. Now, from here, we have a ton of time and space to push up through our lead leg and then accelerate the club through the impact zone. So, loading and then push and throw.

Appreciate your videos, they help a lot and you explain it very well
These short videos are the best. I’ve been saving them all. Great tips; very well explained and demonstrated.
Does this work with driver as well?
Agree with what you say except that I start the load while the club is still going backwards. Feels a bit strange like the lower body is on the through swing while the upper body is still on the backswing.
Very good description. I’m a senior golfer at 64. I now hit my 2 hybrid 16° of loft 225m (245y) off the fairway. It’s really easy to get this going. Took me a few rounds and some net practice to get the rhythm. But it gives 20 to 30 metres more distance. I’m a 14 hc btw. My hc is coming down because my approach shots are now P or 9 irons not 5 or 6 irons. HUGE difference in control.
On days when I have good feel, I can do this. On other days, the ball is all over the place
