SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCIV) — Summerville Country Club will be hosting the 7th Annual Richard Cox Memorial Golf Tournament Oct. 10, honoring the legacy of Richard “Rickey” A. B. Cox and raising money for the USC Scholarship Fund.
Established in 2019, the memorial scholarship was created by Cox’s family and friends in memory of a son, friend, and Gamecock alumnus. Now his memory lives on by supporting the future of aspiring University of South Carolina students, particularly those in the Moore School of Business who embody Cox’s values of academic excellence, leadership, and community involvement.
All proceeds from the tournament will go directly towards the USC Scholarship Fund, which aims to provide critical support to students who are pursuing higher education while also making a positive impact in their community.
The Tournament will be held Oct. 10 at the Summerville Country Club.
