SHEBOYGAN FALLS, Wis. (WTMJ) – A tourist visiting Wisconsin for a golf trip was shot and killed in a drive-by shooting while walking back to his hotel, his family says. It’s not clear who committed the crime or why.
Police found Giovanni Michael “Mike” Robinson suffering from a gunshot wound around 12:08 a.m. Wednesday in Sheboygan Falls. He was pronounced dead at the scene, despite lifesaving efforts from first responders.
Police say a preliminary investigation revealed Robinson was shot by an unknown person driving a vehicle. The motive remains unclear, and no arrests have been made.

Robinson’s family is devastated and looking for answers. They say he was a new father, visiting the area from Canada on a golf trip. He sent them a photo Tuesday celebrating his first-ever hole-in-one at a nearby golf course.
A bartender at Falls Tap says Robinson was a customer Tuesday night, adding he and his group were kind and there were no issues.
The incident has shocked residents of the typically quiet community.
“Quiet, safe and friendly,” said Melody Walls of the area. “I feel like if you don’t feel safe here, where are you safe?”
“This is a small, little community, and we’re all really close. So, it just really shocked me,” Jill Schuessler said.
Police are looking for the suspect vehicle, which they described as a small, dark-colored SUV.
