Shane Lowry couldn’t hide his delight as Viktor Hovland shared a hugely positive update about the state of his golf game at the Ryder Cup.
Hovland stood alongside Lowry and Robert MacIntyre as the trio waited patiently to walk onto the stage for the Opening Ceremony at Bethpage.

As the Ryder Cup Europe social media camera panned to the Norwegian, he turned to Lowry and MacIntyre to say: “Yeah, it was good on the range… I haven’t had a range session like that for two years!”
Lowry replied: “F*** yes… now that’s what I was hoping for.”
The Irishman then gave Hovland a hug as MacIntyre put his hand to his face.
Watch the hilarious moment here:
Hovland is making his third straight appearance on the European Ryder Cup team.
He has a 45% strike rate with a playing record of 3-4-3.
