So Darren Fickart has been on amazing form this year. We’ve got his golf swing here and we’re going to analyze it and see why he’s been so consistent this year. Now firstly, it’s an unusual golf swing to be honest, but it works so well. So going back, the first thing a lot of people are going to say is that the hands are really upright. And with our 3D avatar here, you can see that orange line is almost vertical. It goes straight up. And what a lot of amateurs would do from here is that they’d throw the hands back out in front of them and they’d be steep and across the ball. But he has two shallowing mechanisms which really help him get that club back down and into delivery. The first one I’m going to show you is just the pitch of that left lead arm now. So watch the orange line. You can see it’s gone vertical up. the second line now as he draws the club down. You can see it almost traces that exact line and he gets the club head back into position a little bit behind the hands and it’s an amazing move to get that club back into position. The second one now if we spin him around the other direction from face on you’ll see back swing again it’s still upright but he has a really cool move here which actually sends the club away from his body again is a shallowing mechanism. If he holds on to these angles for too long, you can see he gets very narrow and he’ll get very steep into the divot. But from the top of the swing, he has this movement away with the hands, this ulna move, and he keeps that left arm pinned back on the body to get that club into delivery. It’s a great move, and he’s been so successful this season.
