Crans Montana I Home of the Omega European Masters I Golf Course and Destination Review

[Music] All my followers, thank you for being part of it. And uh like, subscribe if you’re not already. We here in downtown CR Montana. Another special place for playing golf in Switzerland. They have two golf courses. This is the Czech Nicholas course. Seion Balisteros course. Lot of sports possibilities up here. Not only golf. As you can see, they have lakes up here. It’s beautiful for hiking, biking. Croontana sits at,500 m above sea level, basking in the sunshine of the Bal region. In summer, the ski slopes give way to hiking trails, lakeside coffees, and the town buzzing with activity. They even have a 18hole mini golf course in the middle of Chromatano. How good is that? If you want to train your putting, you don’t necessarily have to go to the golf course. You can do it here. All right. Two birdie. The heart of it all. Crosser Sier Golf Club. Founded in 1906, the Crosser Sier Golf Club is one of the oldest and most prestigious golf clubs in Europe. But it was in 1978 that golfing legend Seaniano Balaster redesigned the course that now bears his name. The Seiana Balasteros course is a dramatic 18hole marvel with wide fairways, rolling greens, and panoramic views that stretch to the mat horn. Every summer, it welcomes the Omega European masters, drawing the biggest names in the world of golf to test their skills on alpine turf. Tiger Woods once played here, so did Balaster himself, and the spirit of competition is still in the air. But this is more than a tournament venue. It’s a spiritual place for golfers where every swing feels epic [Music] and find out what Seion Bolisteros was creating for us. It’s a beautiful par five scoring hole. The pros, they’re playing eagles and birdies here. Starting off with a good round and uh let’s see what Mosley will achieve on the first hole. All right, second hole, par4. A pretty difficult hole. It’s uphill, very narrow. There’s a bunker in play here. [Music] Hole number three, par three, handicap 15, 156 m is into the wind. Hole number four. That’s a beauty. It’s a downhill hole. It’s pretty long off the tea, especially if you have to play from the blacks. But from the whites, it’s a dog leg to the right, then again a bit to the left, downhill. Right now, straight into the wind. Look at the beautiful evening light. This golf course has so many beautiful breathtaking moments. I love it here, man. [Music] Hole number five, par forward dog leg to the right. On the European tour on the Omega Master, this is one of the holes where things are can fall apart. The wheels can fall off here because there are everywhere trees and you really have to place your ball goods. So 112 m. It’s a pitching wedge for me. I was quite lucky here with the lie. Got a shot. Go par. Finally, hole number six. Par four. Handicap nine. One of my favorite holes. Super narrow. It’s like a tunnel. This is not a very special point uh on this course because you’re driving actually through the villas of Croantana. Then you go around the corner. [Music] The most scenic hole all over Switzerland. Yeah, we arrived. Signature hole in Chromotono. What a beautiful hole here. Signature hole. Hole number seven. Chromatona. Looking down to Son. Further down is the LMA loan. Further further down Geneva, the long hitters can hit to the green, but forget it for me, man. Lay up, chip, pot, par. Hole number eight. They did a rebuilding of that hole. The green was more on the right side. It’s a new green. 145. to be short, but it was online with the pin, not in the hole. But anyway, this course is so nice. [Music] Number nine, par five. This one is a beast. Longest on the course. Um, beautiful view again. [Music] Perfect. Straight down the middle. Yeah, I made it over the tree, but it’s really sticky, the rough. It’s good to know. Hole number 10. What a beautiful par4. It’s like the hole number nine was uphill. Hole number 10 is downhill. Hit one straight down the middle. [Applause] Hole number 11, part three, handicap 16, 163 m. [Music] Hole number 12, par4, handicap eight. As I remember, goes down into the valley afterward. So layup, it’s the best decision. Don’t go too long. I think I made it. [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] Hole number 14. There is some history on the hole. Somebody made an albatross here. That means with the second shot straight into the hole. Maybe I can do that too. [Music] [Applause] 15. Another par five up the hill. That’s a hard hole. [Music] Hole number 16, part three. Handicap 14. As I remember, it’s super narrow. So there is a tree in front which you have to avoid. Two bunkers are guarding the green. [Music] Hole number 17. As far as I know, they rebuilt that hole, at least the green, two years ago. It’s the second last hole on the course. [Music] That was my whole behold review of the Severion Ballister course here in Crossier. But as I mentioned in the intro, there’s more to this place than just 18 legendary holes. Right next door, you’ll find another gem. A stunning nine-hole course designed by none other than Jack Nicholas. Two courses side by side created by two of golf’s greatest icons. If you want to see how I tackled the Jack Nichlas course, make sure to check out the dedicated episode right here on Mo’s World of Golf. And hey, thanks so much for watching.
