For the first time since 1982, the event has moved to Golf de Saint-Nom-La-Bretèche, where in it’s three times of hosting it’s seen the likes of Ramón Sota, Jean Garaïalde and the late great Save Ballesteros lifting the title. French players featuring this week looking to take their home title include David Ravetto, Frederic Lacroix, Julien Guerrier, Martin Courva, Adrien Sandier and Matthieu Pavon, who recently became a PGA TOUR winner. Five time major champion, Brooks Koepka will also be competing for the title, as well as other international stars such as Michael Kim, Corey Conner, Ryan Fox and Min Woo Lee. With a rare closing par three featuring on the layout at Golf de Saint-Nom-La-Bretèche, could we be in for some exciting finishes over the weekend?

Boom. Heading a bit right, but I’m sure he’s long enough to carry. [Music] Co, you’re absolutely right, Jamie. That is huge down the right side. Bit of a grinding day with the driver yesterday. Second at two. It’s cuz he missed just about every fairway on the golf course. Now look where he is today on the second. And when you find the fairways, you can find the flags. Yeah, the key is controlling the ball from that rough. And that’s a cracker. Darius Friil down the slope at three and down the throw to the hole. Fantastic birdie. as we jump over to Michael Kim for his birdie from the heart of the green over from the PGA Tour and making it worth the while [Applause] with length ahead. He’s had three pass to here. This is up and over a ridge and now tracking tracking. Oh, surely not. Midway through started to to look a little out of sorts, out of sync. Mark had to settle down. Yeah, I agree. He had a strange passage of play around seven, but that’s a cracking shot there from Co. 91 yds for Mimu. There’s some zip in these greens today with these sand eyes off the wet fairways. Preferred lies today. That’s going to pitch by. That needs some spinach. Gets it. Gets it. What a shot. [Applause] Decent lie and a very decent shot. One of your favorite players, Jaden Schaer, Tony. Yeah, he’s talented young man. He’s uh he gets into contention a lot. Let’s go over to Co, who’s actually won amateur events in years gone by around this golf course. So, one of the few that is familiar with it. And he’s into double digits here with Elvis smiling. Yeah, cracking drive that. Never anywhere else, is it? But straight down the middle. He’s got plenty of length as well. He seems like he’s got a great all round game. Elvis slight downs slope bit of wildlife to keep him amazing concentration Tony there I mean didn’t even notice it did he Colin Montgomery would have probably taken a swing at that dock his chipping is actually just unbelievable go for Another birdie. Can he? Can he? Oh, yes. Oh, this is exactly what his fans and friends who are out there watching him want. Can he make it four players who lead? He can, you know. Nice. There’s a little bit of it there. Just a fraction. Go. Go. And that’s a brilliant golf shot. Just magnificent. [Applause] Go. Stay there. Stay there. Thanks. Nice rhythm to the stroke of Armage. That’s much better to take the lead. Amazing. Absolutely amazing. He’s just gone birdie far. Birdie birdie eagle. He hit them in really firm the first few days from this range. They went in at pace. Yeah, very good indeed. Looking to lean on a gap wedge. God, he’s he’s staring every shot up and down like it’s stiff. And this is magnificent. This is really clever. Really well done. Got to pitch it just past. There you go. And bring it back down that little tear. Nicely worked out. And this opportunity for Birdie has breaking off his left ever so slightly. She’s got another. He’s got another. Oh. Oh, that looked good all the way down there, didn’t it? [Music] Another one in tight. The Bullet’s found his groove now, hasn’t he? Go to seven. Within four of the edge, but plenty of danger lurking short and left here. Smiley, he avoids it all. Sneaky left to right. This quick at least two cups of break. Well done. That is a good stroke. A little low punch. It’s all you need here. Yeah. Well judged from Rosna. I don’t think there was ever a doubt, was there? Fringes are cut so tight. 100% the percentage shot. Hello. Hello. Oh, yes. Par five 16th up the hill for plenty of pace. Wow. [Applause] And it is. How about that? Only six strokes required from that three ball. What more do you want? Birdies eagles. Tilqua. Can he find one? Found loads of them yesterday. Matched uh the best we saw in round three. Down the hill. Not much break. They’ve just slowed up a bit. Get there. Yes. Could that be the turning point for Brooks? Keep wow. No, not to that pin certainly. Armitage. Very nice. Little further into the course is Jaden Schaper. He’s here at 12. Measures 160 today. That’s an excellent shot to that front flag. Adrien Sadia over the back of the par five 16th for three. He’s gone for the the longer one of the gap wedges to take spin off it. Uh a delight to behold. And uh Dan Brown, this would be for three in a row. Oh, did a victory lap on the way down. And the thing I love about what he’s doing is we see him take a two-shot lead. He just reminded him how good he is. Darius Vanreal trying to get to double fingers under par at the ninth and does to get within one. [Applause] Ear to ear smile. And from this range, you’ll be thinking about it again. And a decent iron shot in here. Come on, keep turning. There you go. And he may well join Marcus Armitage very shortly. as he overcooked it. It’s drawing. Oh, just catching the right part of the green. Look at this. This is a beast of golf. The bunker shot off the down slope down towards the water. All running away from you. This is scary. Beyond scary. And check. Please check. That was in the water. It is. It is. It is. Isn’t that amazing? Three Eagles in four attempts. It is game on here in France. Missed a fair few and he’s six under par on the day. Feels like it could be nine already. I suspect it. Not a particularly bad lie. Not a great lie. And he’s done fantastically from there to get it that close. Further down Armitage. Oh, a little bit of help. Well, Kim should have no problem with this for the birdley, which he doesn’t. Armitage was even closer after kissing his ball and nearly going in. He’ll be thinking this is just a great chance to get back into a tie for the lead. and he’d be right. Well, I was about to say crunch time for this young man in his season. Pars at 14 and 15, a birdie at 16, and then a couple more pars and he will have his playing card for next year for the DB World Tour. Right. Sunday specialist cutting it in and doing it fabulously. Co also got lucky off the tea. This was headed into an awful spot and it’s left him an opportunity to play that. But you still have to hit the shot. Oh, well read. Well struck. It’s a massive break. Oh, there was they see there’s the Yeah, but he likes it. He likes it. Yeah, that’s a brilliant golf shot. But there was where his hips stop and his knees bend. Hang on. Never in question. What a dart from Minwi. Co to get to 15 under par. Huge putt. Kapka could lose the lead here and does. Weak with the chip. Weak with the pot. And in the wrong place after the second shot. What a second shot from Manu Lee. This is a must bike. There we go. Now there’ll be a bit more. Here we go. Armitage. A little further down. Join the lead. It’s online. It’s online. Oh man. Great patch. We go to Michael Kim who can tie him here with this birdie at 16. And now there are three. Oh my god. In a blink of an eye, Tony. Unbelievable, isn’t it? Co-leader Kim second here at 17. What can he produce? A little magic of his own. That’s what Can Armitage take his here at 17? He likes it. You know, he likes it. Two holes to go if he can prop it in. And [Applause] he’s just gone about his business today, hasn’t he? [Applause] It is the round of a lifetime for John Wongo 65 with Michael Kim. chance to go one clear of them all and he’s taken it back to back birdies from the American. Yeah, wonderful second shot from Rammitage there. Rewarded played the hole superbly. Just managed to escape getting plugged here. It’s very easy to come up about 15 ft shy with water long. [Music] Yeah. Well, didn’t see. Sounded good, didn’t it? Struck it well. Struck it beautifully. Fabulous. That was some touch. Excellent try. So the win not to be, but what a fine week for the young Aussie. [Applause] It’s been seven years since his victory on the PGA Tour. Michael Kim this to post 16 under. [Applause] Does it come any more clutch than that? [Applause] That is a That is a brilliant not to be confused with easy. And he just went about it so quietly. Cool. That’s a long way left as well. That’s disappointing. Side by side and that means there’s confirmation. It is Michael Kim who delivers at the FedEx Open to France. He is your champion sitting there in Paris. Michael, very well done. You saved the best of the week to when it mattered the most. You are the winner of the FedEx Open to France. How great does this one feel? Feels uh feels amazing. Um I haven’t uh won a tournament since uh 2018 at the John Deere Classic and uh you know I really wanted to put on a good showing here this week and um just um so so happy and grateful that uh I was able to come out with a victory. You mentioned that win at the John Deere Classic. That was your you know this has been your first win on the worldwide stage in seven years. Does that really show that your game really belongs on the worldwide stage and how good it is right now? Yeah, I’ve I’ve had a really good year on the PJ tour this year. Um, you know, this this feels like the perfect cherry on top and uh, you know, I hope to uh, continue this um, throughout my career. We’ve got to talk about that part on 18 to save par. You had everyone in the air, including yourself. What was going through your mind as you were stood over that? Yeah, I uh, to be honest, I felt like I hit a decent bunker shot. um that putt, that green slides away so much that uh I knew it was going to be quick and it it just didn’t run out as much as I thought. Um Elvis gave me a decent look um from the side and um h man, I I don’t know. It somehow straight stayed uh pretty straight through the middle and uh kind of blacked out when I when I uh when the putt went in. Look, we could tell how much it meant to you. A week off after this, how will you be celebrating? I have a flight tomorrow morning, but uh right until that point, I’ll be uh drinking plenty of French wine and some champagne, I’m sure. Well, congratulations once again. The oldest national open in France, and you’ve won it. Thank you. Appreciate it. To watch another DP World Tour video, click here. And to subscribe, click here.

  1. the speakers continue to not pronounce Armitage's name right. That's about all they have to learn for the job, and he was in the top 5 for all 4 days? Can't they read? A scandal

  2. What a clutch putt to win it. Congrats to Michael Kim. Excellent tournament and worthy champion

  3. I’m so ANTI. LIV tour that I don’t even like seeing Koepka playing. Sad I know but great win Kim

  4. Enjoyed. And no spoiler in the thumbnail…but show a few bad shots…without those…there is less drama.

  5. Excellent tournament, outstanding play from the top 10. Great to see Brooks playing on DP world tour, and love watching Min Woo Lee. What a player.
