In this video, I dive into what’s holding my game back and push myself to fix it. The clock’s ticking—I’ve got until October 10th to break par, and time is running out.
I will practice my Putting, Chipping, Driver, Bunker Shots & Iron Shots.

Guys, guys, I have until 10th of October to break par in nine holes or else I’m selling these clubs. All right, let’s go. That’s right. I’m putting my clubs on the line in order to break par in less than 30 days. Now, in the last video where I took advantage of both par fives, eagling the first and burning the other one. [Music] Don’t do it to me, dude. Dude. Dude, no way. It felt like I was on top of the world. Nothing could stop me. But then I proceeded to bogey the last three holes, which kind of hurt a little bit. Oh. And since then, my golf game has been crumbling before my very own eyes. But don’t fear, guys. I do have a plan this time. Step one, analyze my past attempts. It’s the wrong club, dude. Step two, figure out the biggest flaws in my game. Step three, make a bulletproof practice routine so I can finally be par before the time runs out. All right, so I just analyzed my past rounds and here’s my key verdict. Oh yeah. No, guys, I’m joking. It’s not all bad. Are you sure about that? See, I only need a few little tweaks and I’m back to playing some good golf. But if you are a teaching pro in this area, make sure to hit me up in the comments below. I think it’s obvious that my main issue is consistency. If I’m going to play good golf, I can’t be missing in every direction. Is that in play? Oh, there we go. There we go. What I need is a one-way miss, making my game more predictable. Once I’ve achieved that, we can look more into strategy, which means hitting fairways off the tea, aim for the middle of the green, and take the risk out of play. At this point, boys, we’re just hunting pars. If we stay patient enough, birdie opportunities will come. One thing’s for sure, though. This boy needs to be on. The putter needs to be dialed. That means no more three putts. How could How could you? Speed control has to be the highest priority on the greens. Last but not least, I have to stop being in my own head. Get out of my head. It’s about having fun. So, swing freely and go out there and play your game. Dude, this is so great. I get to go out there and practice and get good again. So, I’m actually looking forward to this. I’ve built my own routine and I will make sure to follow it every single day, no matter what will be in my way. How about I just go eat some hay? I can make things out of clay and lay by the bay. I just may. What do you say? The routine will include speed control, lag putting, short putts inside five feet. I’m going to practice them all. This is where I’ve been bleeding strokes. So every day I’m rolling putts until I feel like it’s automatic off the tea. I don’t need hero shots. I need a swing I can trust under pressure. A fairway finder. Simple, repeatable, predictable. And that would be one to start the day. Once I can do that, I can then swing freely and focus on lowering my score. So let’s get out there and make it happen. [Music] Someone needs to explain to me why is it easier to hit a ball. What’ you do? See if I can get it on camera. It is right here. See the indent there? There’s no way. That sucks, man. Now I only have three more drivers to play with, which is a problem in itself. That That doesn’t really sound good at all. That’s That’s I I might have an issue, guys. I’m selling them though for profit, so relax. Someone needs to explain to me why is it easier to hit a ball at 125 mph with a massive stick rather than putting it 20 ft. [Music] Go riddle me that. And don’t even get me started on the bunker shots. Definitely not do that. Oh my gosh, dude. Seriously though, it was way easier to fix my T-shots than what it was with my lag putting. I had some serious issues fixing my lag putting. I just don’t have a feel for it. Luckily, I’ve implemented the circle drill, which should save my lack of ability to hit longer putts. This will give me confidence to hold the next putt. I do all three drills and I swap in between them so that it won’t get too repetable. All right, guys. So, I made my little practice routine here, obstacle course where I start off to putt, focus on speed control only. Get it past the hole, but stop before I hit the club there. You see that one? There’s no points involved there because I stopped it before the hole. It needs to be after the hole before I hit the driver. See there? I hit it too hard. So, the key here is to get it in between that. And that’s very tough to do, but it’s a nice practice. See there? This is why I’m not getting the scores that I want. That one’s too hard again. So, it’s extremely sensitive. That was not hard enough. It is truly hard. All of those almost felt the same to me. And that is a big issue, right? That is a huge issue. These TE’s are forcing me to think about my path. Just like that. My touch is completely off. And this can easily cost me between three to four strokes every single round. Son of a Paul. Why didn’t you just go home? which is simply just unacceptable. Just keeping my hands nice and smooth. See that tiger plays with one hand sometimes just to go through. Make sure that I hit them good though, not bladed them like that. Very nice. Just be comfortable with the ball. You’re going to spend a lot of time over the ball either way, so might as well get comfortable with it. I’m doing this little half circle drill where I’m shooting around the circle trying to make every putt. This one’s left to right. This is a tough putt right here. No, I pushed it. And because of that, I have to start all over. That’s how the game goes. I’m definitely going to spend more time hitting bunker shots. Not because I desperately need to, but also because it’s very satisfying just hitting those good bunker shots. Although I did almost kill a very sweet old couple at one point, but that had nothing to do with my bunker shots. [Music] I need to get one of those. That could be a decent trade in for my beamer. Actually, so much better. When I was playing my best, my chip shots were the highlight of my game. You know, I didn’t even mind missing my approach shots. My mind automatically went to, “Oh yeah, I can chip that in or I can make that.” I used to spend a lot of time around the practice greens just chipping, playing, and having fun, which I’m definitely going to go back into that type of mindset because I think that is what made me a good chipper in the first place. So, the plan is to be more creative and have more fun around the greens. Just like that. Played that one to perfection. Not that one though. Golly. Kind of do the uh the crawl claw here. Little claw action. I would love to see Mason nut try this cuz he’s he’s uh chipping with one hand, I believe. Mason, if you’re watching, try this out. Don’t try that. It’s stupid. Don’t just don’t listen to me anymore. Here I am working on my pro shots. My thought process is simply keeping my lower body stable, focusing on low penetrating wedge shots at my target point. I’ll even make sure to stretch before and after every single practice session. No excuses after a good round of golf. It’s always important to stretch and do your due diligence there. So many people, they just go home, sit in the car. Really important to stretch. You don’t want to get cold in the car, get stiff. You know, it’s about the small things, guys. If you want to get better, you have to do these small things. These small tasks going to make you, you know, it’s going to get you to a whole different level. But I’ve done the work and I’m feeling confident. Make sure to subscribe to follow along with the series. Now, it’s time to put everything together and play the best round of my life.

  1. RJ is in Japan for a couple of weeks, so come down, stay at the house and try a couple of courses in Williamsburg! They did just open a par 3 called The Shoe, does that count?? Rees Jones design, so not easy!

  2. Watching your lag putting drill. You need to take points off for being short as well. You never make the ones you leave short and still counts as a stroke.
