YAKIMA COUNTY, Wash. — — A new indoor golf facility has made its way to the Yakima Valley.

Golf Habitat is a new facility located at 101 Butterfield Rd. Ste. D in Terrace Heights and is now open for business.

“Golf Habitat has 3 golf simulators, state-of-the-art simulators,” said Drew Edgerly, the owner of Golf Habitat. “We offer 290 courses that you can play worldwide, including some junior courses for kids.”

They use the GOLFZON TwoVision NX simulator, which offers features including a driving range, automatic tee-up system, different hitting surfaces, and a moving platform which adjusts to replicate your spot on the course.

Edgerly said he opened the place to make golf more welcoming and accessible.

“I was kind of thinking about people like me that would like to golf but just don’t have the time,” he said. “One of the cool things about this is you can complete a course if you’re on your own in about 45 minutes to an hour.” “So it kind of allows you to be able to get the golf in you want, get the number of shots in you need to practice, and do it more efficiently, without spending, three to four or even five hours out on a course.”

Edgerly said they’re trying to create a family-friendly vibe with sports playing on TV, a putting green and more.

This is why he picked this location.

“I grew up out here in Terrace Heights, as did my wife,” he said. “I think we kind of came upon this warehouse space and the first thing that we noticed was that it was a good space to put three simulators and that was kind of what we had in mind for starting.” “I think the bonus was that it was out here where we’ve grown up and there aren’t a lot of opportunities out here.”

“There is the country club, but it’s a private place, and so for this to be a way that we can offer golf to the public is special.”

Below are the hours of the business:

Monday-Thursday: 10 a.m.- 8 p.m.

Friday: 10 a.m.- 9 p.m.

Saturday: 8 a.m.- 9 p.m.

Sunday: 12 p.m.- 6 p.m.
