O CANADA

This week will mean just a little more for senior Nicole Gal who returns home to Canada. The Oakville, Ontario native grew up an hour from Beacon Hall Golf Club and is set make her third start of the season as an individual.

BACK IN THE WINNERS CIRCLE TIMES TWO

Ole Miss tallied their second straight win at the Cougar Classic back on Sept. 9. It marked back-to-back wins for the sixth time in program history with four coming under head coach Kory Henkes. The win in Charleston was the third win at the Cougar Classic under Henkes in the last four years with prior wins coming in 2022 and 2023.

The Rebels look to chase a program record for consecutive team wins this week in Canada. Under Henkes, Ole Miss has won three in a row on two separate occasions: first in the fall of 2017 and again in the fall of 2019.

SIX STRONG

Ole Miss returns 75 percent of their 2024-25 roster. Senior Nicole Gal earned Second Team All-SEC honors and sophomore Kajsalotta Svarvar was named to the SEC All-Freshman team a season ago. Sophie Linder enters her third season at Ole Miss and has tallied 69 rounds as a Rebel. The international duo of Filippa Sundquist and Larissa Carrillo look to bring a spark during their sophomore campaigns after playing postseason golf as freshman. Emerson Blair rounds out the six-returners ready take Ole Miss back to the NCAA Tournament.

NEW FACES

Kory Henkes and Zack Siefert added true freshman Matilda Björkman as part of the 2025 class and picked up sophomore Mary Miller via the portal. Björkman, a native of Töreboda, Västergötland, Sweden, accumulated a plethora of honors, most notably winning the 2023 Swedish Junior Tour Elite #1. She earned 14 top 10 finishes across amateur events prior to arriving in Oxford.

Mary Miller comes to Ole Miss after one year at Georgia Southern. Miller started all 13 tournaments as a freshman and set a program record 37 rounds played, the most in a single season at GSU. She finished with six top 10 finishes and seven top 20s. Miller won her first collegiate event at the More Than Golf Invitational.

UP NEXT

Following play in Canada, the Rebels return home and prep for The Ally Oct. 20-22 in West Point, Mississippi. Old Waverly Golf Club will be the site of the three-day event with Mississippi State to serve as the host.
