Case of sunny Spain again for day three of Lasa Open the third edition of this golf tournament. Leading Spaniard is Nura Aturio who certainly showed those Spanish hands at 17. What a wonderful touch from the Morc and a 73 though leaving her back in the pack at five under par. Allesandre Finale played beautifully from tea to green. The putter a little cold but no drop shots in her round of 70 that took into a share of eighth place at seven under par. Big Sunday ahead for Laura Beverage outside the top 100 on the rankings. Her last event unless she finishes top 10. She’s there right now. If she finishes top 10, she’ll get into next week’s French Open. Two Eagles at the 12th on Saturday. The first came from Kaiser Arafial, the Swedish rookie second last week, posting a third day 68. The other Eagle came from Shannon Tan producing one of the shots of the day at the par five. Tan who sits second on the ladies European tour order of merit with an absolute beauty. 70 from the Singaporean, left her at nine under par. Pier Babnik birded three of her first five holes, then had 12 straight pars. Patience from the Slovenian, holding one at 18 in a round of 68. That also leaves her on the mark of minus 9. Madison Hinsson Tolshaw went bogey free with a 66 on Friday. Another bogey-free round from the Australian rookie on Saturday, a 68 this time she’s also at nine under par. Low round of the day was equaled by Lauren Walsh. 13th is a tough hole unless you play shots like this from the Irish woman. She’s into the final group for the second week running. She’s at 10 under par. Nastasia Nadau chipped in for birdie at 17. In the second round, the putter did the work at the par three this time around. 69 from the French woman. At 14 under par, she is the closest challenger to the leader, Anna Hang. 6466. She led by three overnight and a third day 69 means the 16-year-old Canadian still has an advantage of three. Is she set to become the first Canadian to win on the ladies European tour? 17 under par through three days. Really impressive from the 16year-old.
