This week welcomes the start of Europe’s oldest national open, the FedEx Open de France. For the first time since 1982, the event has moved to Golf de Saint-Nom-La-Bretèche, where in it’s three times of hosting it’s seen the likes of Ramón Sota, Jean Garaïalde and the late great Save Ballesteros lifting the title. French players featuring this week looking to take their home title include David Ravetto, Frederic Lacroix, Julien Guerrier, Martin Courva, Adrien Sandier and Matthieu Pavon, who recently became a PGA TOUR winner. Five time major champion, Brooks Koepka will also be competing for the title, as well as other international stars such as Michael Kim, Corey Conner, Ryan Fox and Min Woo Lee. With a rare closing par three featuring on the layout at Golf de Saint-Nom-La-Bretèche, could we be in for some exciting finishes over the weekend?

Playing for position really, but trying to get close. Well, has he got the cut? Has he got the run? Yes, he has. Is it too far? Slow down. Slow down. This is incredible. Well, there’s my shot of the day already, Tony. I’m with you. Was magnificently played, wasn’t it? Our first look at the overnight leader, Marcus Armitage, just on the right hand side at the 10th. Just a pitch down the hill. Oh, what a lovely way to start. [Applause] Now, this is one ugly lie for Grant Forest. Look at this. Borderline brilliance. Wow. You’re quite steep and chopping down and given the lie. Jamie explained that’s exactly what he’s done. Six, seven feet. Good shot. Very good shot. You can have overpower this shot. If I can get my words out eventually. Now we’re good. That seems good for Midway. God, that is a crazy hit. My goodness me. There’s a bunker on the left side that I always used to think I’m going in that bunker. That would be 70 yards past it. This is Winter. Good position. Little further left than Vandreel. So good sight of the flag. Sit. Sit. Oh, it’s a great shot. Really good shot from Winter. Now, let’s hope he gets that shot back. Beautifully done. Just a guess, Rowey. Good guess. No guessing required for Michael Kim from the center of 13 fairway. Very nearly the perfect shot. Back to the shadows. Almost down in the little valley here at 13. Minw leaders for birdie. though. Needs to give this a wrap up the hill. Outside chance. Outside chance goes in for Minu Lee. Darius Fendreal. Ninth hole lofting it over the little tree on the corner. Oh, that’s a beauty. That’s a beauty. It’s a dangerous flag there today. Been a wonderful day. Yes. Wonderful finish. Well done. Great round of goal from Jeff Winter today and he has the lead right now. He must have been the home favorite coming in. He’s been playing so brilliantly. He was slow yesterday. He looked a little tired, but today he’s woken up. Birdie for Sadier at the eighth and he wasn’t finished there. One hole later this for Birdie at the par 4 ninth and in it goes. Sadier round in 66. There he is. Marcus Armitage back there at 13. Digging it out of the roof. Oh. Oh, thank goodness for the TV tower. He must have got a massive flyer. Oh, guys, can you just uh look at it? Someone’s trying to make a getaway with Armitage’s ball. This is where it’s ended up. Don’t touch the ball. Don’t touch the ball. Right. came up with a pretty decent lie, too. Hello. Hello. Good shot from the backpack or the TV tower training. Connor saw him sizing up his T-shot at the par 33. Even Park could do with some birdies. Oh. Oh. Oh, what a shot. It’ll do well around this golf course, Rowey. Yeah, you can shake the ball, can’t he? Um, I would imagine he’ll be seeing this as a little cut. Oh, he’s got a good one here as well. Look at this. This could be better. It could be. It’s closer. Wow, this is the gigantic hulk of a figure of Nicholas Norgard with a silky touch to get the four under part. Gomezi second shot at the first. Oh my goodness me. We haven’t seen many players got that flag. It’s so tight. That was a beauty. Your defending champion with the long putter Dan Bradbury. He needs to get a wrigle on. The cut at the moment is level par, but I have a funny feeling it might move to one under, but a strong feeling the halfway mark will be underpart. Oh yes. Oh, I thought that was going in at 10 for Jordan Smith. He needs something to happen quickly. M Lee, he needs that right now. If you carry it most of the way, it will grab pretty quick. You’re pitching it into the grain. I tell you what, what a drive he 72 lap. Brilliant. Gone. Oh, wonderful. Not to be outdone, Minu Lee. unusually average. How about this one, Tony? Good fun. Not really. Well, that is just No, can’t be. Can’t be. That is that’s banditry. I reckon you could hold that one in one in a 100 if you’re lucky. Great chance, sir. [Music] Oh, no. You caught it, Ronnie. You called it. Beautifully done. [Music] As we go to six with Cuso. Didn’t have a good line. So, chopped out to here. Trying to find that back plateau. Oh, and does. It’s a cracker. Man long gas for a bounceback birdie after doubling the seventh and that will feel a little better. Ala alle they say and they’re right and does we’ll go 211 Lagrant the runner up in Ireland to Maroy and his magic and that was magic too right in the jaws he’s only got about three yards to work with big lump of Sam behind it though he played it Well, just trying to let it release. Keep going. Keep going. That’s a very good shot. [Applause] Good chance to get to seven under par here for Sord Day. Oh, and guess just, but it’s in the bottom of the hole. I like the idea here that the groove marks from the bunker times run towards the flare. You’re still going to end up with a tough line, but at least you got a chance as a partner. Oh my goodness. Darren Fickart springs to mind. His wife Natasha is a sport psychologist. No, no, no, no, no. Thank you. Milotsi gets that left edge. Thank you. Good flag position today at 12. Just over the water. It’s been 24 birdies so far. It is averaging under par. Oh wow. That was right on the top of the flag. Oh, there it is. 10 up. Probably is a six actually. Yeah, that’s a six. Oh, he likes it. Oh, so he should eagled it yesterday and every chance he’s going to eagle it again today. Left edge slow. Must hit this for the eagle. Didn’t hit it. Did make it too. eating up the par five there. Brooks Keka, he’s in the hunt now to 14. Armitage was the hardest hole on the golf course yesterday. 14 and it will be one of the hardest on the week for sure. So, this is a great golf shot. Come on, peel back round there. That is magnificent from Marcus Armitage. Such a tough hole. A birdie is a double bonus. Well done. And to Nander, he goes hard left. He goes more left than they think is. That’s amazing if that doesn’t turn. Oh, it was. It was right in the middle. Well read cuz that’s across the grain from where he was there. Should be should be right to left is my read. Certainly was. It set off right edge and then it hung on nicely to go five under on the day and get within two. He’s got such a great pace in his putts today. could be at a second shot at 14 after a brilliant drive from Lara. It’s not a big green and as Alli was saying earlier, it’s super sloppy and that’s how you play it as as good as we’ve seen. About the same distance as Marcus Armitage, the leader got to start and roll a few in. That’s not going to go in surely. Oh, it did. It came back the other way. right to left and sneak back a little bit. He’s seeing a little bit of right to left in this. Only minuscule though. Beautiful pass. [Applause] Always has quite a shock look on his face when he strikes it. But look at that. That is better than Lagrrons. This is the leader at the first, which is his 10th. Playing the course the the wrong way round as they say about where Jeff Winterhold from earlier today. Oh, and he’s made it as well. What a putt from Armitage. And he extends the lead. We’ve got our first man to double digits for the week. You stand in the fairway and you It looks like they’ve missed the green the flag so far left. Kim digging one out of the right hand rough at 15 and doing it very successfully indeed. There’s been nine birdies on this. It’s the joint least of any on the course. He’s just bought that because that’s the 10th birdie as that rolls in for Norard. Forget what happened as Tony said. Try and get this sort of 10 15 ft left and flag height. Give yourself a chance there. Oh, it’s better than that. What a response. It, you know, I mean, I got to say there’s no player in the field taking it to the flags and the pin positions more than him. Fritz Patrick type Alex. Oh, brilliant. Brilliant shot at 18. Goodness me. He’s hanging around, isn’t he? Four in the pole. Can he get to five? Oh. Oh, it’s stalled. As for Birdie down 18, he’s just seen Kim blow it by. Yeah, this is going to be the the gentle lag. He’s done a lot of hard work. Oh, he’ll tell us how he feels. There you go. A number of uh players blow it by. He’s too smart for that. Yeah, only one hole playing tougher today and that’s the 15th. So, second toughest hole on the golf course and only 10 birdies it’s given up so far. Sitting down a bit. Really, really well played. Couple people are watching on for this birdie putt to go back to double digits. Yeah, he’s um a little bit sort of one step forward, one step back. Well, I know Forest is quite close to that cut line. He’s got 112 yards. He really should be eyeing up a yard or two just left of this. Just cruising a sandwich wedge. Yeah, great shot there. And he really wants that birdie because he’d like that comfort going down 18. Now what’s he doing this time? Stabbing it in. He’s stabbing it in. Oh, you’ll get fist pumping, Marcus. You trickle it down there. If it goes, it goes. If not, well, great two days of work. Oh, fine try. Well, there’s a three to end the day. Started with a bogey, but plenty of birdies followed it. 1. Comparing the crowds here in France to those in the K Club and Wentworth over the last couple of weeks is pretty astonishing. Big names put bums in seats I heard they were giving free tickets in supermarkets if you bought €30 of groceries.

  2. Is it so hard for the editor to get the clips in chronological order? Min Woo Lee bounced from -4 to -8 and back about 4 times during this video.

  3. How tf are you showing highlights of Min Woo on 12th and then a whole 3 minutes later showing his approach into the second hole??
