Sept. 20-22 / 54 Holes / Norman, Okla. / Belmar Golf Club

NORMAN — Oklahoma women’s golf will host the 13th annual Schooner Fall Classic this weekend at Belmar Golf Club. The 54-hole tournament begins Saturday with 18 holes each day, concluding Monday with team and individual champions crowned.

Admission is free all three days, with parking available in the main Belmar Golf Club lot next to the clubhouse.

“It’s always fun to host this event,” head coach Veronique Drouin-Luttrell said. “Partnering with OK Kids Korral makes it special for our program to give back to our community. Belmar is in great shape, the field is strong and I’m excited to see our team compete in front of Sooner Nation.”

The Sooners return their entire roster from last year’s NCAA Championships squad and welcome three newcomers. This week’s lineup features Isabelle Schlick, Savannah Barber, Gracie Mayo, Reagan Chaney, and true freshman Satonkan “Earn” Thiengsri, who makes her collegiate debut. Audrey Rischer, Elle Lundquist, Meg Tilma, and Raychel Nelke will compete as individuals.

“For us to get almost our entire roster into a competitive environment is great,” Drouin-Luttrell added. “Our team is so deep, and I can’t wait to watch our players go against some of the best in the country.”

The Sooners are looking for their first all-time win at the Schooner, which they’ve hosted annually since 2013. Drouin-Luttrell’s squads have finished as the runner-up twice (2021 and 2014), and finished fifth last season.

Oklahoma opened the season with a fifth-place finish at the Carmel Cup, its sixth straight top-five showing in regular season play. Barber led the team with a T8 finish, while Chaney and Schlick shared 19th.

The Schooner field features 16 teams, including two top-25 opponents in No. 22 Oklahoma State and No. 25 TCU.
