Eastside Golf, led by Olajuwon Ajanaku and Earl Cooper, is leveling up its presence in golf apparel.

As AFROTECH™ previously reported, the Morehouse College graduates launched the company in 2019 to diversify the sport and reach youth and non-golfers. The brand carries polo shirts, sweatshirts, pants, shoes, accessories, and bags.

“Our goal in creating Eastside Golf is to show people that you can be yourself and you don’t need to look a certain way to play the game,” Cooper said in a news release about the brand’s seed round led by EP Golf Ventures. “The future of the game exists outside of the golf industry. We’ve been able to tap into the culture to change the perception of the sport and grow the game for future generations.”

Eastside Golf has been intentionally scaling its footprint across boutiques and airports, as well as through partnerships that include Nike. The brand’s seven collaborations with Jordan Brand paved the way for its work with parent Nike, which began with a collection titled “Everyone’s Game” in September 2024. Including apparel, accessories, and footwear, this led to Eastside Golf’s first performance shoe, the Nike Air Zoom Victory Tour 3.

Take Flight Collection

A year later, Eastside Golf’s second collaboration with Nike has hit the market. According to a press release shared with AFROTECH™, the “Take Flight” collection features two new models: Nike Air Max Plus G and Nike Victory Tour 4.

The Nike Victory Tour 4 is the second performance shoe released by Eastside Golf. Its “spiked sole with its carbon plate is engineered for optimal green-grass performance.”

Customers can also purchase a limited-edition Ryder Cup line and holiday-themed apparel and accessories, available on EastsideGolf.com beginning Sept. 25 and then on Nike.com and online, as well as in some DICK’S Sporting Goods, Golf Galaxy, and Pebble Beach Company stores on Oct. 2.

Additionally, a pop-up sporting the collaboration will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sept. 25-28, at the Shopify NY storefront in SoHo, 131 Greene St.

“Take Flight represents an evolution in the game — inspiring everyone, golfers and non-golfers alike, to reach for new heights in whatever they are pursuing,” Cooper said in a news release. “We are honored to release our second collaboration with Nike, and extend our long-standing relationship with the Nike family as a whole.”
