How did the US Ryder Cup team players get on at the Procore Championship in the final competitive event on the PGA Tour before heading off to Beth Paige Black for the Ryder Cup? Scotty Sheffller, winner, 19 under par, 19th win on the PGA Tour. And is the expectation that Scotty goes 5-0 and zero at this year’s RDER Cup? Ben Griffin second, 18 under par, losing out by just one shot, but the form continues heading into Beth Pae Black, one to watch during the RDER Cup. JJ Spawn sixth, 15 under par. Another good event for JJ in the buildup. Should Europe be worried about the rookie form? Cameron Young tied ninth, 12 under par. That’s three of the four rookies in the top 10. And another good result from my breakout rookie at this year’s Rder Cup. Sam Burns tied 13th, 10 under par. Poor first two days, but 68 and 67 on the weekend is positive for the US team. Russell Henley tied 19th, nine under par. A solid top 20. Nothing to worry about here. Patrick Kentley tied 30th, seven under par. Not great, but I’m sure Kantley will rise to the challenge of the Rder Cup. Harris English and Colleen Moricawa tied 43rd, five under par. No rounds under 70 for English and just one for Orica all week, but steady golf. Justin Thomas 69th, one over par, no rounds under 70. in a final round 75. The US would have been hoping for more as Thomas needs to show up this Ryder Cup. Xander Shelfley and Bryson Dshambo did not play.
