The Emirates Golf Federation (EGF) has announced the appointment of General Abdullah Al Hashmi as its new President. General Al Hashmi, who previously served as Vice President of the EGF, succeeds His Excellency Sheikh Fahim bin Sultan Al-Qasimi.

Alongside his new role, General Al Hashmi also serves as Vice President of the Asia-Pacific Golf Confederation and as the Arab Golf Federation Asia-Pacific Representative. His international positions strengthen the UAE’s voice within the global golf community and reflect his commitment to advancing the game regionally and worldwide.

Since its establishment in 1995, the EGF has been the governing body of golf in the United Arab Emirates, operating under the UAE Ministry of Sports and in affiliation with The R&A, International Golf Federation, USGA, Asia-Pacific Golf Confederation, GCC Golf Committee, and the Arab Golf Federation.
