[Applause] All right. Well, welcome to the sports, guys. Another weekend recap. Another packed weekend of sports. You had pro. We had baseball coming down to the wire. We had the uh pro lacrosse championships finish up. and our Virginia boys did really great there. And uh we have the women’s rugby pro rugby world cups going on. I’ve been enjoying that actually. US team’s pretty good. How you doing, Robbie? Doing great. Just crazy busy. Crazy busy. Lot going on. And you got the boys. They’ve got all kinds of sports going on every day on the weekends. And yeah, and I’m having I’m getting sucked into doing some coaching and stuff. The back of my SUV is full of equipment right now. That’s good, though. That’s good. You should be more than just a third base coach. Yeah. You know what? I I really I have a philosophy. I want the boys to have a different coach. I want them to have a different voice that that’s that’s talking to them and and coaching them. I want them to be coachable. I don’t want their dad. I I’ve noticed a lot of the dads that coach, no offense to any dads out there who are coaching, but what I’ve noticed is the coaches are super hard on their sons and it makes it really uncomfortable for the team. No doubt about it. Sometimes it’s true. Yeah. So, what did you take away from the weekend? What were some of your big themes? Uh, I would say a lot of the same themes carried over. There was a lot of There was a lot of parody in the NFL. Uh, a lot of good games. A lot of surprisingly good games. There were a lot of good games. Best game of the year so far. Giants Cowboys. I think it probably is. Although there were a couple of others. You would have never guessed that going into the weekend. Um, and then and then in in college there were two upsets. One or two sort of surprise games, but not really upsets. and then the rest were all blowouts. So very and if I mean college is very predictable and very easy to make money on if you’re if you’re betting but it’s true. Um although they’re doing a better job than ever of of lining up especially week one really good matchups but the ones that are not good matchups are horrible. They’re like true 58 to3. So, the themes I’m seeing are there, like we talked about last week, and I think it’s even more after week two. There’s a lot of teams with a lot of flaws, especially in the NFL. You’ve got teams that have really great quarterbacks and have a terrible defense. You have teams that have really great defense and can’t score. You have you have some teams that maybe can pass a little bit, but they don’t have a running game like Pittsburgh, you know? So you have like all these teams that have all these holes on it and and it really I know it happens every year but it surprises me so much because coming into the season you would think one or two weeks in everyone should be healthy. These teams have had all off season to you know plug those holes, make sure they could run the ball, make sure they had an offensive line that could block. And yet we see at least half the teams are really flawed. Really, really flawed. I mean, even Minnesota, their offensive line is trashed. Hold on. That’s before all the injuries have really started. Imagine soon, you know, like JJ McCarthy had an incredibly disappointing performance yesterday to the point where he’s out injured for a couple weeks and I think to be quite honest, his coach is relieved. You know, I think that the first two weeks showed that he wasn’t really ready. He was kind of panicky in the pocket yesterday. I thought he was very good in week one and I think he wasn’t good yesterday. Yeah. And then Caleb Williams, you know, he’s in week in year three. You got to think that you take a big step up. Hasn’t happened. Um I don’t know. Uh it’s it’s really kind of concerning to see his progression. He’s I think he’s getting worse. He can’t stay I think young quarterbacks getting thrust in there. Never, you know, rarely ever really. His big thing is he can stay within the script the first 12 plays and he looks really good and then the second, third, and fourth quarters he just looks completely lost. He just can’t stay in there. He’s kind of seeing ghosts. He’s always field well throws the ball out of bounds. Throws it short. So I don’t know. What are your thoughts about our theme tonight? You can see it behind me here. The halves and the have nots. And that’s really the theme for tonight because to me whether it’s pro or college, you’ve either got the quarterback or you don’t and you’ve got the defense or you don’t. And those are the two elements you got to have to be a championship somewhat. Although I’d say, you know, there are teams that have a quarterback like Baker Mayfield. Mhm. Who is not Hall of Famer, is not has been cast aside by several teams, is very solid in in his situation. He’s very good with Tampa. Um they love him. He’s solidly their starter, but I mean nothing nothing too tremendous. Just just good and solid. And nobody, you know, you don’t want to play Tampa, you know, so you don’t have to be a pro bowler to be effective, you know, but I don’t think the day of the game manager exists anymore from the standpoint of winning the championship. Like I don’t see Brad Johnson ever halfhitting a game. I don’t I kind of disagree. I I kind of disagree. Or Joe Flacco. Think about the team Joe Flacco went with. I think game manager has been misappropriated. I think the best quarterbacks are game managers. They they’re able to understand situational football. They’re able to think like a computer and they’re able to really get the ball into the right hands at the right times. And I think in a regular season game, yes, it doesn’t take super athleticism and it doesn’t take um you know, because if that were true, Lamar Jackson would win every Super Bowl and he can’t even really sniff it. And he’s always surrounded with an incredible um uh roster. So he because he’s a high-end, very athletic game manager. That’s what he is. He’s not a game manager. This is my this is my point is like I don’t agree. I think game manager is actually a positive, not a negative. game manager. It’s a positive can win, but can more importantly put his team in a position to not lose. It’s a positive for a regular season game when you’re just trying to get through the season. But when you get into round one, round two, round three of the playoffs and you’re down seven points with two minutes left, you hand the ball to a game manager, they’re not going to get it done. They’re just not. I don’t agree. the the quarterbacks out out to the checkdown and he’s going to be able to wing it to the far sideline and he’s going the quarterbacks that are great late are not he’s going to um hand the ball off when the team is expecting a throw. He’s going to manage the the game perfectly. I think Tom Brady was the ultimate game manager. He he he was the perfect he was a coach on the field. And see, I I disagree because he was great late. And being great late is the element that gets you the Super Bowl trophy. Yeah. But you can be a game manager and be great late. The thing is, I think when you’re not a game manager, you’re one of these guys that’s winging it all the time. Like, you’re taking tremendous risks that that that leaves your team. It’s all guts, all glory. I mean, it’s it’s you’re throwing it down the field into triple coverage and it’s either a catch or it’s an interception. Bo Nicks is a game manager. We we have yet to see him be great late, but he is a game manager. I think you need both. I don’t understand how being game manager doesn’t mean being a game manager doesn’t mean that you’re not good late. Like those two things are not. Momes is one of the greatest Mahomes is one of the greatest game managers of all time and yet he also is great late. You need to have that element, too. And that’s what I’m saying. That’s not the only way to win. You have to have that in your tool bag. That’s what I’m trying to tell you. Fine. Game managers can have that, too. To get through 17 games and four playoff games, you have to have that element. And a lot of game managers do. And a lot of them, in my opinion, Tom Brady was the ultimate game manager. And he had that ability in his tool bag. That’s all I’m saying. Yeah. Yeah. And a lot of the guys I’m seeing in the NFL today don’t have that. That’s all I’m saying. I I think that I think these super athletic quarterbacks, Caleb Williams doesn’t have not effective game managers, they they don’t and and Tom Brady said this. He said they dumb down the playbook so much that they get these super athletes out there and they let them just run around with the ball and they just hold their breath and pray they don’t do something really stupid. And half the time they do. And the, you know, who’s a game manager is Jaylen Herz. He is. He is very much. He’s won a Super Bowl. And he’s great late. Like, you know, he is great. He is. He’s got that in his tool bag. Game manager is a good thing. It’s not a bad thing. I don’t know where it became a negative. It’s a good thing 90 99% of the time, but there’s always that one thing. It’s it’s basically what you’re saying is somebody is a coach on the field and there’s always there’s always that 1% of situations where you are counting on your quarterback to get it done in a really high pressure situation and there are very few guys that can do it. There are very few guys can do it in the most precious situation and the ones who can are the great quarterbacks that are either Hall of Fame caliber or close. And so I and and you and I had this argument last week that there to me there’s maybe eight of those guys in the NFL today. The other guys are great for regular season quarterbacks, but the guys who are going to elevate their teams to the You can’t put Lamar in there. I know. Absolutely agree. That’s his problem. You can’t put uh you can’t put Josh Allen in there. He hasn’t done in the big game. He’s lost every big game pretty much he’s in. He did it in week one against the Ravens. You know what I mean? So week one’s not a big game. I know he hasn’t done a big game. You’re right. I’m just saying that the definition is a little strange when your best quarterbacks don’t belong in there. That’s true. That’s true. I mean I I’ve even seen a couple quarterbacks this year get it done when it was surprising. You know, like Daniel Jones got it done for the Colts this weekend. Got them in position. Got the field goal. So, it was weird though. All I’m saying is that was one of the luckiest wins I’ve ever seen. It was the Broncos completely blew that game. It was unbelievable. But you think my problem counted on they counted on a 15 yard penalty and a missed field goal. They counted on the refs to give him another shot from 15 yards closer. Like I’m looking at my Carolina Panthers who have invested in a guy who’s 5’9 who has a good arm, reads the field, okay, not great. He’s not a game manager even, but he when you get into the high pressure situations at the end of the game, he can’t get it done. He just can’t get it done. And so he’s going to be asking for the max contract next year, you just can’t give it. No, you just can’t give it. It’d be it’d be suicide for your franchise for 10 years. So, so they found out this year and they’re going to let it play out the rest of the season. We’ll see how he does, but they found out that he can’t he’s not a starting quarterback in the NFL. He’s just not. He actually might be down the road, but you can’t take the risk. And then Caleb, there’s no sign that he’s absolutely worth the money, so you can’t pay it. We’re finding out Caleb’s the same way. And we’re finding out that the coach has more confidence in Badget who’s the backup. And I think very soon, either this coming week or very soon, Badett’s going to be the starter because he stays within the system. He does what the coach wants him to do. He’s a game manager and he can win games and he’s not wild. And yeah, game managers are more valuable. But are you going to win the Super Bowl with Badget? No. Um JJ McCarthy, we don’t know what he is after two weeks. Really? Yeah, we do. He’s young. Yeah, he’s young. He’s fine. He just he just had a bad week. He’s going to have more bad weeks, too, as a as a first year starter. So So some teams have quarterbacks, some do not. Some have defenses, some do not. And then some have an offensive line and some do not. And some of these teams like the Bengals have been hugely uh have errored hugely in the way they’ve handled Joe Burrow, who’s a generational talent. I said it back then. I’ve been saying it ever since. They’ve shortened his career and they’ve completely gotten him battered every single week. Now he’s out for three months. Yeah. And um you know, it’s just it’s complete disservice to him and to the organization. So yeah. So you what do you think about those? a lot of Andrew Luck. No defense and no offensive line. And you roll this amazing quarterback talent out there and he just gets murdered. Andrew Luck retired at least five to 10 years too early. And you were talking about how they spent all the money on him and on T. Higgins and on Jamar Chase. Yeah. Invested like 75% of their salary space into those three guys who are all offensive. No offensive line, no defense. Yeah. And and you wonder why you’re not making it back to the Super Bowl. Yeah. I mean, nobody wonders why. It’s obvious why. So, uh, what are your thoughts about your Dolphins and kind of the mess? They need to blow it up. Would you try to trade Tyreek and get picks and try to trade? I’d trade everybody. Everybody. Jaylen Phillips. I might keep him. Mhm. I would trade I would trade Wadd and Hill and a Shane and I don’t think you can trade too. I’d like to maybe keep keep Malik Washington who’s start over. Yeah. Keep keep your good young guys and try and trade your stars. Keep Oi Gordon. Keep Oi Gordon. Keep um uh Jaylen Wright, keep Malik Washington, keep um Yep. you know, your young quarterback who you’re still developing. Yep. Keep keep as many people on rookie contracts as possible and trade stars that are expensive veterans that are super whiny and always throwing their helmets down and just gone, gone, gone. All start over. What do you think about these teams like the Cowboys who are able to score 40 points a week but then give up 40 points a week? Like what do you what do these teams I mean do they have any chance of going anywhere when they give up 40 40 points to the Giants? No. It’s like they’ve draw they’ve driven 40 miles in the wrong direction. The the number one thing they have to do is stop driving in the wrong direction and then they need to rechart their course before they you know they need to put in some thought on how they want to go forward. They have the worst talent assessment team in football. And Diggs the corner, but he got I’ve never seen a guy get torched more than Digs did. But he was never very good. He was always splash big splash plays and then he’d get burned like all game long and then he’d have another big splash play. So he was on ESPN, but he was giving up tremendous yardage to the opponents. He’s even worse now. Yeah. And I think it’s it’s more accentuated because teams know it, so they’re going after him. He had no chance of covering Malikite neighbors, I’ll tell you that. No. Uh what about some of the injuries that we’re seeing so early in the season? You’ve got, it looks like Jaden Daniels is going to be out for a week or two. Uh you’ve got, of course, Burrow’s out for three months. JJ McCarthy’s out for two to four weeks. Mhm. Josh got his nose broken. Yeah, they popped it back into place. Looks like Bick’s miss this week. Yeah, I saw that. I’m surprised that wasn’t con a concussion protocol situation. I thought it was too. You know, actually Justin Fields is probably going to miss this week because of concussion. Yeah. So, thoughts about about injuries happening this early? It seems kind of NFL, man. This isn’t early. I mean, it is early, but it’s not What about Jake Browning coming in in the second half and winning the game for the Bengals? That was pretty incredible. That was impress impressive. He’s pretty good. I I I really Bengals fans. I feel I feel like the Jaguars imploded a little bit. They did. And it was bad bad luck, too. I mean, that interference call was pretty phantom. And there was some really bad kind of body language between the coach and Trevor Lawrence. Travis Hunter. Travis Hunter made a play and they called interference on him and it really kind of swung the game. I I I think that was not interference. Did you see the interplay between Lawrence and his coach? It didn’t look very good. He was kind of missile of him and Yeah. Yeah, I mean I heard his I heard his postgame interview uh press conference to the coach and he said, you know, he was pissed. Um and he said, but and he said all these glowing things about Lawrence. So he was trying to say, “Yeah, I was pissed and things happened. It’s an emotional game and our guy is super awesome.” So that I think there’s not much there. I think they’re better. They did blow that game. I think the probably the two biggest games blown were that one and the Broncos. The Broncos had no business losing that game. That was absolutely ridiculous. All those penalties in the second half. Yeah. I know Shawn Payeyton is going to be yelling in film study this week. Yeah. In fact, they found a way to lose that game. Yeah. Let’s go ahead and uh let’s go ahead and run down the scores from college and pro. Here we go. Yeah, let’s do it. All right. Let’s take a moment to uh give a shout out to our sponsor for tonight and that’s Academy Sports. We absolutely love academy sports in our family. That’s where we go for all of our sports apparel, all of our equipment, our t-shirts, if we need a football, if we need a basketball, if we need any kind of things for the kids. Robbie, tell me about how much you guys love sports. We’re always going for something, but I went there two days ago and loaded up on baseball stuff for the boys to start their season. Uh, they outgrew their pants. There was cleats. We needed new batting gloves. Had to have matching belt with the They’re the Braves. So, Braves uniform. Uh, it’s They just have everything you need. Selection, good prices. Didn’t spend much money and got everything I needed. And now they’re outfitted. They look sharp. And uh, I love that place. I feel really comfortable walking in there. It was fun coming to the game on Saturday and I got to see all their new equipment and apparel from Academy Sports. So, that was cool. Yeah. Yeah. We We love that place. It they they’re so good at what they do, you know. The people are friendly. The service is great. They always have exactly what you need. So, guys, go check out your local Academy Sports today or check out academy.com or you can actually go online to uh other sites that are broker sites for Academy Sports and go check out what they’ve got. and uh and go buy yourself something. Yeah, you’ll be glad you did. They got a lot of variety in there. And honestly, I always go in there, I get everything I need, and I always think about one or two things I’m going to need in the future. And so, I either plant a seed for for the next visit or something along those lines. So, they they’ve got they’ve really got it going. And then you can’t wait to go back. So, yeah. And I know I’ll have to go back because the boys are growing so fast. All right. We’ll see you guys next time. Yeah. Take care. All right. So, as I said, it’s the halves and have nots. You see all the quarterbacks that are having a really good year so far. You got Lamar and Josh, of course. I think they’re the top of the mountain right now in my opinion. Jaylen Herz is able to win games with a hundred yards passing because he’s essentially like a running back back there. And then, of course, he has a great running game and he has an incredible defense, good, really good offensive line. They uh they were successful on six out of seven tush pushes. Yeah, no one’s ever run it the way he does. It’s just incredible to watch. I mean, it really feels like it feels like rugby scrum. It it feels like it’s being executed with that kind of precision. And the one time they didn’t get it was on the goal line, but it was on third down and then they went and tried it again on fourth down and got it. So, yeah, they get a lot of push. I mean, how frustrated are you if you’re the Kansas City Chiefs and you’re lining up and it’s third and a half yard line. You know what’s coming. You cannot stop it no matter what you do. Jumping guys over the line. Uh it’s almost an unfair advantage. I mean, every time the Eagles needed a yard, they just go right into the tushbush and nobody else can seem to do it. So, I don’t know. Uh Jordan Love still playing great. Two and 0 Packers. Uh my personal opinion, they so far have looked like the best team in football. Them and the Ravens and the Bills probably are the top three. Uh, Chargers looked fantastic in week one. They’re about to play here coming up in about an hour. We’ll see how they do against the Raiders in Las Vegas, but Herbert has just looked probably the best he’s ever looked. Jaden Daniels been playing really great, although he had a little bit of a a come down this week. They ended up losing and uh he actually got hurt. So, we’ll see how long he’s out. Hopefully, it’s not for very long. Patrick Mahomes has been considered the best quarterback in the league for six or seven years, but this year he started 0 and2 and and both of those losses were against deep playoff teams. So there are a lot of people saying not to panic that the Chiefs will be fine. Then over on the college side, you got Julian Sy and you got Nusmeer who really played pretty horrible this weekend. I was kind of concerned about him. I don’t know what’s going on with the LSU offense. I’m I’m actually stunned they they won that game. They really played poorly. You have Drew Aller with the Penn State Nitney Lions who are just crushing people. And you have Stockton who won the big shootout and we’ll talk about that game. That was the most exciting game in the college weekend, I thought. So, thoughts about these quarterbacks and the halves and have nots. I mean, I think it’s really early. Um, injuries are going to be hitting all of them at some point. I think that I wouldn’t put the Bills in that top two category. I think Green Bay is better than them. I think the Chargers are better than them. The Eagles are better than them. The Lions are better than them. Um, the Ravens are better than them. I I don’t I think the Bills are about like seventh really. Yeah. Defensively, offensively, they weren’t very impressive this week. I’ve got them in the top four. I think, you know, Eagles, Packers, Bills, and Ravens, those four teams are the class of the NFL right now in my opinion. And then everybody else is kind of separated. I think that you have a clear four best teams. And it’s not just because of quarterbacks. is because those rosters are completely stacked. The Eagles roster is so stacked it’s unbelievable. I think I think uh the reason I have this sign behind my head, week one is a liar, is because week one does this weird thing where it it gets so much wrong for the whole season, but we kind of lock in some some narratives about teams that aren’t true. They just weren’t true in the first week. And so, are you telling me the Kansas City Chiefs are not in trouble though after week two? I mean, they they don’t look anywhere near the team. I don’t think they’re in trouble because of week one is what I’m saying. I think they’re in trouble because they’re light on talent, right? And the coaches are like, you know, doing everything they can, but the their two best wide receivers are out and they’re not deep at wide receiver. Uh their their tight end is a shell of himself. And the reason I don’t think they should panic is because those two wide receivers will be both be back next week. And and to me, they who do they lose to? They lost to the Chargers and the Eagles. So, it’s not exactly like, you know. No, I agree. Same with the Lions. Like the Lions lost to the Packers. Well, Packers are good and the Lions didn’t play well, but they destroyed this week and they look like themselves again. So, they did. The idea that the Lions are bad because they lost in week one. That’s the kind of narrative I’m talking about that gets locked in and it’s dumb because if you were to start new narratives week two, the Lions would be considered one of the best teams in the league. What do you think about some of the struggles by what they did to the Bears? What do you think about some of the struggles with some of these Heisman favorites? you know, the Arch Mannings and the Nusmeers and the Well, Arch Manning business being in the Heisman favorite discussion. Nusmeer. Yeah, LSU is struggling on offense. Um, they just happen to play a quarterback who’s struggling more. They’ll figure it out. Yeah, that’s true. Who everyone thought was going to be great this year. He’s a sophomore for Florida and Lagway. And he just Boy, he looked bad in that game. Yeah. I don’t know. He just most surprising college um story is I’ll say the the Florida entire team actually Florida entire team and then I I thought they were going to be decent. We’ll get into Lenor Sers and that abysmal showing that he and his team had as well. Yeah, that was really shocked me. I had them as my dark horse, South Carolina and they just don’t look anywhere near like even top half of the SEC. So, we’ll get into it. Let’s take a look at that college scoreboard. Indiana destroys their instate rival 73 to nothing. Mendoza just had a lot of fun. He actually they pulled him out at the end of the third quarter after five touchdowns. Indiana State had 10 punts. And Indiana had one. Imagine if you’re 19 for 20 with five touchdowns and they take you out at the end of the third quarter. Tom, Indiana had 33 first downs. Oh my goodness. And Indiana State had five. It was just an absolute This kind of game in my opinion should not happen. 680 yards to 77. And what’s funny is Indiana State was 2 and0 coming into the game and they were promoting it like it was this big interstate battle. Big match up. Yeah. But Indiana State plays in what’s essentially one doubleA and it’s just not it’s not the same football. So Ohio State really struggles in the first half. Um, but San did start getting it going in the second half. He had kind of a hot hand in the second half and they got it going and put a lot of points up on the board finally. But any concern there, you think, or they just had kind of a slow start? I think I think young quarterbacks have the ability to not be consistent. And I’ll say Ohio’s a pretty good program. No, everyone disrespects that, but Okay. I mean, kind of tough. It doesn’t surprise me and he’s gonna have games where we’re only playing Ohio. We I don’t need to bring my best game kind of immaturity where he he’s not going to be like that in two years. He’s just going to be locked in. So that’s true. That tells me they’re not winning the national title. Yeah. I don’t know. I don’t know about that. They they are not there yet. I mean, last year this time they weren’t there yet either. They were two and one and everyone was criticizing them and then later they lost the second game to Michigan and then they go on to win the championship. So, I don’t know. Still pretty darn early. They had all the pieces though. Drew Aller had an immature quarterback. Drew Aller had an okay game in this one, but they absolutely destroyed because Penn State’s offensive line looks like an NFL offensive line. It’s crazy. They were literally pancaking people on every play and they had four running backs with touchdowns and it was just they just went crazy. Yeah. I really like Penn State. I think they’re really solid. I love their running game. Yeah. Wow. Yeah. Super good. This was the game we were talking about. Um I watched this whole thing and I am sad I did because it was a stinker. I mean, it just if you talk about football that’s eye pleasing versus not eye pleasing, uh, Laguay was 33 for 49 for 287 with a touchdown. You would think that that would sound like a really good game. No way. Throwing the ball 49 times tells me that you’re you’re losing like badly. You’re losing. And but also u they can’t run the ball. They cannot run all. Every time they gave it to the guy, he got one yard. And so, um, some of his passes that were incomplete or intercepted, it was it was bad. I never want to see where he’s throwing the ball 49 times. Never. If you watch this game throw by throw by throw, he is not ready yet. He’s not what not as advertised in my opinion. He’s got a long way to go. Doesn’t mean he won’t get there. He’s only a sophomore. So, I think he’s going to improve. But, um, and then Nusmeer is just not an excuse to he played it. He missed so many layups. It was incredible. Guys in the flat over their head to their feet. A lot of layups missed. And this is a guy who they’re saying’s the Heisman guy. I don’t know. I was disappointed in this game. So, I know the defenses are very good, so that makes it hard, but I don’t know. Oregon looked really impressive again. Dante Moore out there dishing it out. Really good field general. Makes all the right plays, all the right reads. He was 16 for 20, really efficient. Any thoughts on Oregon? Um, well, Oregon has uh they were seven for 11 on third down, which is really good. Anytime you’re over 50%. And uh zero penalties, you don’t see that very often, you know. Um, they actually had similar stats to Northwestern in a lot of ways. A lot of the running yardage, passing yardage, all that stuff was really, really similar. Um, but obviously the results are are so much better. Do you think we’re sleeping on Dan Lanning as a coach? I think their defense their defense was the difference in this game. Yeah, they had two sacks, four tackles for loss, and two picks. I think Glenn is a really good coach. I’m not sure he gets the the head. I think he’s a good coach. Yeah, he’s old school. He’s the one that turned in uh I am Aliva. Yeah, trying to get paid from Tennessee. That’s right. I think he’s going to keep rising up the boards. I really like the way he runs his program. Really solid. The uh the Northwestern quarterback had a QBR of seven. Yeah, I know. I’m telling you, Oregon defense was pretty impressive. So, this game was surprising because the South Florida Bulls came in two and0. They had just knocked off Florida. They were looking really good and everyone thought this was going to be a very close game. That’s pretty shocking. Everybody was picking Miami, but this was just an absolute beatdown of a good team. I know my friend Chris T. Jones was uh pretty excited, very happy. The biggest Miami fan around. So, is the U back? I think so. I think so. When we talk to him, I want to get his take on on the U. But, uh, I think just the talent, the swagger, they’re getting it back. Yeah, they have a lot of weapons. Every time they throw it to a guy in the flat, he takes it the distance or for a real long run. Yeah. They just, they feel like a team has a lot of speed. Yeah. And Carson Beck, the demise of Carson Beck was uh very much exaggerated, I take it. Yeah, I I didn’t buy into that. Yeah, I didn’t buy into it. He reminded me of Justin Herbert. That’s right. You did. You said that. Yeah. You You have a bad You have a really great year and then you’re on everyone’s radar screen and then you come out and have a bad year and everyone thinks you can’t play quarterback anymore. And that’s not how it works. I thought Miami would be good, but I thought Clemson would be the best team in the ACC. But I think Miami I think Miami is the best team in the ACC pretty clearly. Yeah, I agree. Yeah. So, this game was so epic. I mean, I’m not sure which game was better, this one or Dallas and the Giants, but it was so fun to watch. There was 14 lead changes. Every time someone scored, it was a different lead change. Yeah, it was Aguilar. They said he was gonna be really good. This kid is great, man. I mean, he is fantastic for Tennessee. Uh, really, really good. And Stockton played fantastic for Georgia. So, this is really nice quarterback duel. Um, I will say Tennessee should have won this game. The fact that they let this game get to overtime was really ridiculous. They had a 34 yard field goal lined up at the end and missed it. Should have won the game in regulation, then let Georgia get into overtime and Georgia takes it. So thoughts about this epic game and could we see both of these teams playing? I think Gunnar Stockton’s a little underrated. I mean, the guy had 304 yards. He was 23 of 31, two touchdowns throwing, one one rushing, and a QBR of 93.4 and no one’s talking about him in any positive categories. like uh this past weekend they were they were talking a lot about him. I I haven’t heard much talk about him at all other than he was a great backup last year. Like I Gunnar Stockton should be considered in that top tier. He played very well in this game and so did Aguilar. They both really Yeah. So did Aguilar. So did um a guy named Chris Brazelle for Tennessee. Three touchdowns, 177 yards receiving. I know. That’s crazy. That’s that’s big time. Would it shock you if both these teams make the playoff? Not shock me, but I don’t think Tennessee is going to get there, but they’re going to be close. SEC’s going to get five in. So, I think they’re going to get there. I think they won’t be one of the top ones. But, you know what’s interesting? You’ll see them there. I think Georgia dominated them in one major category, time of possession. Mhm. They just had the ball more 35 uh minutes to 24. Pretty significant. Pretty significant. And it went to overtime. So, you know, Georgia was just hanging on, hanging on. And uh Tennessee was dishing out everything they could give him. How do you think that Tennessee kicker feels missing a 34 yard with three seconds left? Would have won the game. Terrible. Oh god. Yeah. Terrible. Although you just have to like smack him on the helmet and say, “Get it next time.” Because you need him. Yeah. Yeah. That’s right. So, this game was incredibly disappointing. I went back, Robbie, for this program today. I went back and watched every one of Arch Manning’s throws and all I can say is his mechanics are off. He It’s almost like he needs a quarterback coach because we know he has the talent, but it just You should never look like this against UTEP. should have been 73 to 10. I think Sarkeesian is going to be the guy that fixes him. So, I’m not worried about that. But I think our I think the dumbest thing about the Arch Manning stuff is us, the media, the No, but I I’m a fan who are saying that he’s in this category that he’s not in just because he’s a Manning. I’m a fan of his, but but Robbie, what are they gonna How can you fix him midseason? He’s going into the SEC schedule. Gonna happen this year. It’s going to happen slowly over the course of this year into camp next year and he’s going to be a Heisman favorite next year or he’s going to be in the top Heisman finalist. Mhm. It’s not happening this year. It’s all about developing this year. Do you think he should have given him a little more playing time last year because maybe it would be showing up now? It wouldn’t have been a bad idea. Yeah, I think you I think yours was made promises uh they made promises to yours and I think that they decided they were going to honor those and and they didn’t want to get you upset. They didn’t want to get him paranoid. Well, to say that we’re still waiting for Arch Manning to break out would be an understatement. He probably will this year. I just have this feeling one year. I don’t think this year. You don’t think so? He’s going to have flashes this year and then he’s going to have a full off season as the guy and then a full training spring camp and and he’s just going to slowly take over and do it. You’re saying they’re not a national championship favorite this year? No, I don’t think so either. Yeah, I didn’t see enough talent on the offensive side um when they played against uh Ohio State. I think they’re they’re not quite top they’re not a top two team. They’re they’re top five. You think about the gauntlet, Robbie. They’re about to go through the next six weeks. I mean, I don’t know what their record’s going to be. I have no idea. You got Old Miss one week, then you got Georgia, then you got Alabama. I mean, it’s just it’s just unbelievable. We’ll see how he does. You know, he’s going to play a lot of SEC defenses. Yeah. and and UTP does not have an SEC defense. So, we’ll see what happens. This game was epic, too. I I turned it I turned it over at halftime from the Georgia Tennessee game and I was all pumped up because it’s such a great game and I turned it over to halftime and this game was going crazy. Texas A&M was up 28-24 at half and uh we had another epic finish here and Texas A&M gets it done on the last second field goal. So, what is your thought about this? And is Notre Dame in trouble at 0 and2? Uh, I don’t think Notre Dame’s in trouble. I think they’re a very good team. Um, they were favored by six and a half points. You had Nick Sabin saying yesterday on ESPN that Notre Dame has to run the table to make the playoffs. Now, I think CJ Carr being a freshman is tough. I think he’s really poised and a good good quarterback, but I think these guys these first year starters are really struggling. They they’ll they’ll look good one week and then they they struggle the next week. But uh I’ll tell you&m is one of the most active teams in the transfer portal with um NI. That’s true. That’s true. And you know what? They said it’s only a matter of time before&M rises to the top because of money. And you know, Elco is a really good coach and I’m not shocked that they could beat Notre Dame, but I’m a little shocked they did it in Notre Dame. I thought Notre Dame at home was going to get this game. I really did. And they and they kind of needed to because now they’re in a really bad spot. They’ve got some great teams in their schedule and they’re going to have to run the table. So, they can do it, but they given themselves a really tough spot. I would say they finally got Jeremiah Love the ball more. 23 rushes, 95 yards, 94 yards. But it’s almost like they’re struggling to get him the ball. I think it should be a natural thing that they want to do. You know, Malachi Fields only had 77 yards receiving. They need to make him a huge threat. So, you agree though that Notre Dame at 0 and2 is in much more trouble than Kansas City at 0 and2 and the colleges just m regular season games just mean more. I’m not sure if I don’t know how you compare those two because Kansas City’s division is pretty tough because you can get into the playoffs with a lot more losses in the NFL than you can in college. You know, when Notre Dame gets to three losses, they’re gonna essentially be knocked out. Uh, no, I I’ll agree with that. So yeah, so this next game, Altmire really efficient again, played really well. They took him also out at the end of the third quarter because they were winning so badly. 38 to nothing. Anything you can take away from these blowout wins like this? Not much just other than um Illinois is really really good. They they I think they’re I think you’re looking at a playoff team. I do too. I really do. Yeah, they’re really solid. I I am though waiting for them to play one of the big boys to really see if they really are that good. Yeah, I agree with that. If they play Michigan or somebody like that. So, this game was by far the most surprising game of the weekend. Um, do you know what the line was on this game, Robbie? It was the weirdest uh upset of all of them. South Carolina by 16 points at home. 16 points. Yeah. and they lose 31-7. I was watching these the extended highlights of this game and I just I don’t know what South Carolina is anymore. They couldn’t run the ball. They couldn’t pass the ball. It was pick after pick over. It was an incredibly confusing game and they couldn’t stop Vanderbilt who just ran all over them. Um what what is your thought about this? How does Shane Beamer recover? I’m not sure he’s going to. Um I’m hearing rumors about possibly uh Virginia Tech. Really? Mhm. Oh, okay. Virginia Tech fired their coach today. Yeah, I saw that. I’m not saying it’s going to happen, but it would be a very interesting rumor to possibly examine, wouldn’t it? So, Lenora Sers, Heisman candidate. I don’t know what happened there. I mean, it just it was a strange one. Or is it just one of those games? I mean, sometimes you just have a stinker. Yeah. Yeah, that’s it. I mean, Vanderbilt has one or two of these every year where they just play unbelievable. You remember they had one last year? They beat Alabama. Alabama. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, they have one or two of these a year and you just don’t want to play them. It’s true. And then the rest of the ones they lay down and they they’re two and 13 or whatever. Mhm. Well, I I have to think in practice this week they’re going to be uh probably putting the pads on and really going at it because South Carolina is much better than they showed this day. It was uh it was not good. This game was crazy. This game was absolutely crazy. I watched this one. you’re in a situation where again another kind of Heisman favorite. It has not looked that way at all in the first three games. And I don’t know what’s wrong with Clubnick. I don’t know what’s wrong with that offense. Um the highly touted receivers they have are not making plays. Uh I never felt like this entire game that anything was going to happen other than Georgia Tech winning. I just felt like Kane’s Kane was much better. Um what are your thoughts about Clemson? Are they not the team we thought they were? And how about Georgia Tech at 3 and 0? So, I think I watched this game and Clemson didn’t feel as powerful as what I expected them at the beginning of the year. Uh, I think Clubnik played decently for for parts of this game. Hannes King played well. Um, he ran the ball really effectively. He only had 211 yards uh throwing. But do you you see the line here? He had 25 carries for 103 yards and a touchdown. He was running kind of like a wishbone almost. I know he had a QBR of 69.1, which is pretty good. Um, he was solid. You know, Georgia Tech dominated time of possession. Didn’t it feel like there were there were moments in that game where you had to have Club Nick step up and do something and he just kind of looked a little frazzled? Yeah, it’s just how it looked to me. And turnovers. Um, Clemson turned the ball over. They got a a int and a fumble. Mhm. And u that was the difference in the game really, right? two turnovers and slightly better quarterback play from from Georgia Tech. And then of course the uh the field goal. So is Georgia Tech 55 field goal was the longest in Georgia history for the win. So and Georgia Tech’s had some good kickers. So is Georgia Tech a little better than we thought and Clemson a little worse than we thought? Is that what we can take from this? Probably yes. Both things are true. Yeah. I said that I thought the ACC was decent this year. And I really I think that’s right. Doesn’t look like there’s many. Florida State and Miami are back up. So there’s your leadership. And then I don’t know what Carolina is yet. Give them some time. NC State is hanging in there and doing okay. They’re pretty good. Yeah, they’re pretty good. Getting wins. Um Georgia Tech looks pretty good. Virginia’s better. Uh, Duke is solid. Yep. Wake is solid. Wake is solid. Um, I don’t know. I just think it’s slightly better. It’s not a laughing stock, right? We’ve done ACC’s done well uh at the beginning of this like week one. So, Oklahoma and Matier have another huge day. Just run all over Temple. Another game that never should happen. It just looked like two different brands of football. Oklahoma just ran it up, ran it up, and then again, just like all the other teams, took material out at the end of the third quarter, put in their backup. Some of these games are really valuable to get, um, your backup some snaps. Yeah. So, um, that’s right. Thoughts about Oklahoma? Are they are they rising? I mean, some of the stats are mindboggling. First downs, Oklahoma 29, Temple seven, right? I mean, that’s domination. Yardage 515 to 105. Doesn’t it just come down to a team like Temple has never seen an SEC defense like that before? I mean, SEC defense is just a different animal, you know? Just the skill level and the couldn’t even get a first down most of the time. Yeah. Guys that are in the NFL next year, right? That’s right. I think Oklahoma’s pretty impressive. Yeah. Yeah. They added mater. It was perfect timing for that. And they’ve been kind of building over. I mean, when when the Red River rivalry happens in a couple weeks, Oklahoma, Texas, I’m picking Oklahoma. I think they’re the better team. I don’t know. I’d say that’s coin flip. Although Texas defense is incredible. But yeah, that’s what I’m saying. We’ll see. Iowa State goes to 4 and 0. They’re the only 4-0 team in the country. Beck has another solid game. Uh I I noticed in this game that Iowa State keeps squeaking out these very close wins and they do it because their defense is really solid this year. They have two really good DBs or lock down DBs. So they just keep winning. Not scoring a lot of points, but getting it done. Yeah, they’re solid. Two leading teams in the Big 12 are Iowa State and Utah. So, we’ll see when they battle it out. Probably one of those teams will be in the playoffs. I think so. Yep. Miss Arkansas was another fantastic SEC game. I watched some of this game. Mhm. It was just offense, no defense the whole day. And uh Miss gets it done. Arkansas actually had the ball. I was driving, got down inside the 10 yard line and just basically ran out of time because a field goal wouldn’t help. And so they just uh didn’t have any chance to get it into the end zone, but um had a chance. So really good ball game there. Yeah, two good teams. Thoughts about Miss I They’re a very solid squad. Um, they’re chalk full of talent and uh I think they should have won this a little more decisively, but SEC teams play each other hard and you know Arkansas is always tough. Yeah, they’re always tough. So, they’re just tough to play. Yeah, they really are. You want to get the win? Yeah, you usually can beat them, but they’re going to give you a tough match. This game was not a contest I thought it would be because Wisconsin usually has really good defense and running game. I thought they might try to run it and keep it away from Alabama, but uh Simpson had a really nice day. Four touchdown passes. First time in his career. Yeah. Uh and they really made it look look like a SE team versus a lower end Big 10 team. So, do you think Bama’s back? I think um No, but I I think that they had some frustrations. They they took out on Wisconsin. I mean, yeah, that wasn’t fun, right? I don’t know. I I had a lot of criticism for Simpson in week one in that loss because he looked really dear in the headlights, but um yeah, he looked pretty poised in this game. You know, I think the coaching’s getting to him. So, um you know, maybe they have a chance to be something special this year. We’ll see. Utah goes to three and 0 in the Big 12. Really looking like one of the most solid teams in the country. I think they’re a little low at 20. I think they’re a little better than that. Yeah, I agree. They should be like 14 or 15. Yeah. So, um, again, Luke’s team, Iowa State and Utah. I’m looking forward to that matchup. See who comes out of it. Seem to be the two best in the Big 12 this year. Texas Tech takes out a can of whoop whoop ass and destroys Oregon State. A lot of people have been picking Texas Tech this year as kind of their dark horse to slip into the playoff. So, any thoughts about Texas Tech and their chances? Oregon State is pretty dreadful. They are. Um Texas Tech, you know, they they got a really nice program. They’ve also been very active in the portal and uh NIL money have a lot of money behind them. Yeah. Yeah.&M and Texas Tech both have come up purely because of the new system. So I think they’re a pretty good team. We’ll have to watch them. Yeah. Michigan 63-3 and um Underwood had a pretty good game, but he mainly had a good game on the ground. Nine carries for 114 and two touchdowns on the ground and they just actually roll it up on Central Michigan. So, thoughts about Michigan? There’s no point in having this game. It’s not good TV ratings. It’s good for just the the alumni of Michigan to enjoy, you know. Right. Well, what happens is Central Michigan a lot of times teams like that will get a check out of the game like 500,000. Oh, yeah. Take get a check to get million dollars or whatever. Yeah. So, we can’t really tell much about Michigan from this game, can we? I mean, they’re not Ohio State or No, that’s not a test. Yeah. Auburn comes away with a win against South Alabama. Had a really solid first half and then kind of trailed off in the second and held on. Um I I saw some of the um people online who are Auburn fans saying that um Auburn is the worst 3 and 0 team in the SEC and they’re real distressed about the offense. I don’t know. I I still think it’s a win. I’m not sure why you’re complaining, but um I guess they want 53. Yeah, exactly. So, um, we’ll see. I’m not sure how good Auburn is. They are in the top 25 now. So, we’ll see if they can compete this year. Missouri 52 to 10 playing Louisiana. So, I was looking at the schedule starting next week and all these paths that happened in week one, two, and three are all over now. All the tuneups are done. So yeah, going into this next week, we’re going to start seeing really good matchups. NC State takes care of Wake Forest. This was a surprise. It was at Wake and NC State always struggles with Wake. You even said that before the game that you were really worried about this game and actually Wake and Yeah, they did. And then Hollywood Smothers started going crazy. So yep, he had 164 yards. Does he have the best name in college football? Yeah. I I’m not sure why this is a surprise though. I mean, well, interestingly enough, Wake um was the underdog in this game at home by two points. So, NC State was favored on the road, but two points. Surprised only because NC State always struggles with Wake. I don’t know why, but they do. So, that was a pretty solid win. Yeah. And NC State starts 3 and 0, which we really like to see. So, I don’t know how far they can go this year. We’re going to see. Virginia, I mean, I had to put this in here and had to just say that 55 to 16 doesn’t happen very often for our program. And they set they set the all-time yards record of all time in Virginia football. 700 yards of offense. 700 yards. Robbie. Beautiful. I mean, uh, this kid wheard touchdown. That was sweet. Um, they had such a huge lead that they took out Morris at halftime and putting this kid Kalin who was highly recruited. Morris only has one year of eligibility. So Kaylin’s going to be the quarterback next year. So it was pretty nice to see him get a whole house of action against William Mary. Anything we can take from this game? Virginia sitting at two and one. I mean Virginia is a better team uh than they’ve been the last few years and their schedule is much weaker than normal. So they should amass a bunch of wins against these weaker teams. In the past, they would have lost to these teams, but they’re probably gonna win most of them. Well, in the broadcast, they were reminding us that two years ago in 2023, we were down 10 points to William Mary midway through the third quarter. We ended up winning the game by three points. Yes. And and so that we’ve come from that two years ago to now blowing them off the field like it was a tuneup. Yeah. So that that’s an improvement right there. I mean, we certainly have more going on with our program than we did a couple years ago. It’s a much better team for sure. I’m pretty excited about it. Yeah, SMU really struggles for them against Missouri State, who is not a good team. Um, Jennings had an okay game, decent score line, but um they uh they were coming off that 201 loss to Baylor, which was really crushing. So, some people think maybe they had a little bit of a hangover in this game. Think that’s possible. Yeah, because that was really disappointing. Obviously, that Baylor game, which was an epic game, by the way. So, at least they got the W. This game, Pit was favored on the road. Pit’s having a really good season so far. These two teams always play each other tough. I know. These team, this is like Virginia, Virginia Tech. Like coing. They really really despise each other. And somehow West Virginia comes out on top on this one. I was kind of surprised, but it was in Morgan, so anytime it’s at home, I guess there’s a chance. So, any thoughts about Pit dropping there first? Well, like I said, these two teams always play each other tough. They’re they’re serious blueco collar uh physical teams. Mhm. And I think they can get up for each other. Like they can really summon up the energy. Mhm. So I think it’s not surprising that it’s close. I mean, when you have a rivalry like this, either team can win. It doesn’t matter whose stadium it’s in. I think that’s right. And they just made a couple more plays than their opponent. Pit’s still gonna have a really good year, I think. So, Carolina takes care of Richmond 41 to6. I don’t think it says much about them. Richmond’s not a very good team. Like you said, we’re still not sure what Carolina is yet. They had that really disappointing opening game loss against TCU. So, um but they have a very easy schedule, a lot like Virginia. So, um North Carolina should amass a bunch of wins this year, I think. when they go up against a Clemson or a Miami or something like that, we’ll really see what they’re all about. I mean, Carolina has the five stars. They’ve got Bill Bellichic coaching. They have tremendous amount of money, NIL, and brand recognition, and they can recruit anywhere. Uh, and Richmond is one of these solid programs that nobody wants to play because they can beat you. Mhm. So, it’s a pretty good win for Carolina. Yeah. I mean, it is. It is. They had really good offense, too. Carolina got thumped and embarrassed last week, so they wanted to write the ship. And Richmond has the ability to beat some teams. So, so this game was the sweetest game of the weekend if you don’t like Virginia Tech like we don’t. And um it got their coach fired. uh they lost older was supposed to be an automatic win on on a real team’s schedule and they got absolutely thumped and it was so shocking. So do you think this says about Virginia Tech’s program, their talent level? They’re sitting 0 and three. I think they’re far more talented than that. I just think they’re I think the coach lost the locker room. I don’t know why. But Old Dominion, Robbie. Well, yeah. It’s my understanding they’re working on getting Michael Vic in there to coach. Is that right? Yeah. He’s the head coach. Wow. I don’t know. We’re not used to seeing this. You know, usually they beat us every year, so we’re used to seeing Virginia Tech at least be relevant. And u this is really a shocking occurrence for them dropping to 0 and3 and and they’ve got a lot of good teams on their schedule. They got Miami coming up. Yeah, they still schedule really hard. So yeah, uh I don’t know. I’m not sure how many wins they can get to this year. This might be the year, Tommy. Maybe. So I’m not even going to say it. Let’s take a look at the AP top 25. Didn’t change much. Ohio State, Penn State. So two Big 10 teams up top. SEC, LSU, although they did not play well. Miami has gone all the way up to four this week, which is really cool to see. Yeah. Georgia has gotten into the top five for the first time this year. Oregon six, Florida State 7, Texas 8, Illinois 9, and Texas A&M 10, and on down from there. They have. They have. Anybody surprise you on here? You notice Georgia Tech has gone from 23 to uh 18 now. They’re starting to get some respect. Yeah, Georgia Tech being up there is kind of a surprise. Notre Dame started at six and now they’re down to 24, sitting at 0 and2. I think that’s a little I think that’s a little low. Even 0 and2. Yeah, I agree. We’ll see. We’ll see. Not Not too much surprise there. Um, once again, just like last week, you look at the coaches poll, they always put Georgia a little above what the AP does. They’ve got Georgia at three. Any problem with that or any surprise there? No, that’s fine. They’ve got Miami a little lower. They don’t believe in the ACC, I guess. Mhm. Although Florida stayed at nine pretty good. So we got two uh ACC teams at six and nine in AP in the coach poll, but they’re a little higher in the AP poll. It’s interesting. They the teams um when they ask the coaches directly, they all think George is better than they’re being given credit for. And they are really good. Obviously looking at the NFL. So this was pretty crushing for me on Thursday night. Yeah, that’s tough. See the distance between where the commanders are right now and the I think the best team in football, the Packers. Tucker Craft had a legendary night for a tight end. He just was dominant. Jaden Daniels got hurt. So what were your thoughts about this game? Krosky Merritt had four carries. and Austin Eckler um is out for the season. He got Yeah, I mean they didn’t run the ball effectively or even nearly enough. So, they didn’t have the game plan basically. And Green Bay just did everything they wanted. I mean, Jordan Love, Josh Jacobs, like I said, Craft had a career night. Uh their defense was in Jaden’s face the entire night. Uh, I will say Jaden did leave a nice little comeback there in the fourth quarter to make it a game, but for the most part, uh, Packers were in control the entire game. And it made me wonder kind of where are the Commanders right now compared to last year. I think they’re fine. They just they got they got kind of humbled a little bit. It’s good to be humbled every now and then just to like keep keep yourself honest. What’s your overall assessment of the Micah trade now after two weeks? Oh, I think it’s too early to say. It gave Green Bay a lot of juice and definitely some pass rush and they look faster out there, but I I think over time you’ll see uh that might hurt their depth and the future might be damaged a little by getting rid of those draft picks. Mhm. Well, they’re going all in to try to go for it. I don’t blame him for doing it. Yeah. So, this game was wild. You had Joe Burrow go out at halftime with an injury and he’s out for three months. Supposed to come back mid December. Uh the Jaguars were dominating the entire game, had the game completely under control. And then in comes Jake Browning, the backup for the Bengals. And he leads two big drives in the second half, including a 94 yard drive to win the game. And I just feel like this is one of those games that the Jaguars are going to really regret that they let this one slip away. I think you got to tip tip your hat to Browning. Yeah. I mean, he scored on four of his eight drives. And by the way, he he just kept throwing it over and over and over to Jamar Chase. And I was wondering to myself, when are the Jaguar DBs gonna like double him or something like he just he threw it to him every play. 14 catches for 165 and a touchdown. Yeah, that’s a I mean, nobody has a game like that. You know, it’s wild. The um since he lost every stat category Yeah. except for first downs, right? They asked Jamar after the game, they said, “Well, how did you have such a huge game?” And and how do you have that connection with Browning? And he said, “Well, obviously we practiced together.” And he said, “Um, I told him when Burrow went out, I told him in in the locker room at halftime, I said, “Jake, just throw me the ball. Just throw me the handball.” And he did. So So you think the thinks are going to regret this one? It’s nice to have a Jamar Chase who can just say, “Throw me the ball.” And doesn’t matter the coverage. He’s just so good. Yeah. You think the Jaguars are going to regret this one? Yeah. I mean, yeah. Actually, they’re gaining some confidence. You think Jake Browning can keep the Bengals in the playoff picture? He’s gonna have to play for three more months. Not really. No, I don’t think so. Oh, we’ll see. I think he’s pretty decent. I really do. This was the game of the weekend. I mean, this was just so unexpected. You know, I figured Dallas would win by two touchdowns. Russell Wilson had his best game since 2019 by far. 30 for 41 for 450 yards and three touchdowns. He kept bombing it and bombing it and bombing it over and over and over. and it made me realize how poor the Dallas DBs are and how poor their defense is. So, what do you think about a thousand yards of offense that was rolled up in this one? There’s a couple of points that stick out to me. There were 44 points that came after the third quarter, meaning fourth quarter in overtime. 44 points. That’s a lot of points. Mhm. Um, both teams were just back and forth. Lead change, lead change. Well, that, you know, that was the highest scoring fourth quarter in NFL history. Did you know that? That that doesn’t surprise me. 41 points. Also, Dax won 14 straight against the Cowboys. I mean, against the uh Giants. Yeah, it’s crazy. So, that’s crazy. And Brandon Aubrey with a 64 yard field goal. Um, you know, that used to be the alltime record and he kicks those all the time now. You know, you said that, um, Harbaugh talks about how offensive linemen are weapons. Yes. But a kicker like Aubrey is a weapon. He’s a weapon. I think he’s the best kicker in football. Is he not? I do too. I do too. He’s like automatic. I would love to hear Jeff Reed’s take on it. Rob, when he hit that 64 yard, it hit the back of the net. I know. It would have been good from 70. Yeah, he’s kicking 64 yarders on the regular basis now. That That’s the all-time record just a few years ago. They showed him swing his leg from the side. They wanted to show like what it what it is. It looked like he was kicking an extra point. It didn’t even look like he really was trying that hard. I know. I just it’s astounding how good the kickers are right now in the NFL. There’s a lot of good ones. Dallas was good. They were three for three in the red zone. Did you hear them tell the story about Aubrey and how he came to try out for the Cowboys? No. He was um a stud soccer player for Notre Dame soccer and they actually went to the final his senior year and lost in the in the NCAA championship final. And uh so he was a really good soccer player and um he always was curious about kicking. He always kind of wanted to kick on the Notre Dame football team but never did. So yeah, about a year after he graduated, he and his wife were working and one night they were watching the Cowboys on TV and he said how that had always been his dream to kick and she said, “Why don’t you go try out?” And he’s like, “No, that time has passed.” And she’s like, “You’re only 22 years old, you know.” Yeah. So he called Dallas and um sent him some tape of his soccer like career and they pulled him in and brought him into one of the open camps and had him kick and the rest is history. That’s pretty cool. What an incredible story. Yeah. Sitting on the couch with his wife watching the game. He’s like, I wish I could do that. You should go out there and do that. Well, I like to do that. She goes, we’ll go do it. You know what’s funny is if she wasn’t there, he probably wouldn’t have. You know, h he probably wouldn’t have. So, this was an epic epic game. Do you think this is more about these quarterbacks were playing at an incredibly high level, they have amazing weapons all over the place, they have good coaching, or do you think it’s about both of these defenses are total trash? I kind of felt like it was pretty good play calling. Mhm. I I kind of like the game plans. Um, have you ever seen a quarterback just bombs away like that the entire game? I mean, Russell Wilson, every time he dropped back was bombing it and bombing it and bombing it. Yeah, his neighbors loved it because he’s he’s the stretch guy. But I like what I saw in a lot of cases. If I’m Dallas, I’m going back to the draw drawing board. I’m saying, “Do we need to put in it too deep? Do we what do we need to do to stop getting beat long?” because they can’t keep having. Yeah, what a great game that was. Giants should have won, by the way. Um, Lions Bears 5221. The demise of the Lions was a little overexaggerated. Yeah, all the Lions main guys all had huge days. So did Roma Dunz. I’m facing him in fantasy and he had just a one of those huge weeks. Yeah, I had I have a few of those players on my fantasy and my team went off this week, but the Lions really look like the Lions and um a lot of concern in Chicago about Caleb Williams and yeah, if he’s going to really be able to round into the kind of quarterback they thought he was going to be. So, what are your thoughts there? I think he’s being completely mismanaged. He should be on the bench watching. Um, put in bad. Yeah, I I think that uh the Lions are for real and the Bears, they’re not in that they’re not in a position to be thought of in that top tier. like they they have no business being up there. There was a lot of talk about whether Caleb Williams fits into Ben McDonald’s scheme. Yeah. Because his scheme requires a lot of touch passing and that’s the thing that is the worst in his tool bag. Caleb’s not a touchthrower, right? He’s a flamethrower. And um so do you think that McDonald’s love of Badant coming out of the preseason is going to have him turn to him earlier than we thought he would probably um because their styles clash so badly that he’s going to do something that pisses off the coach. So, um, every time Caleb makes one of these bad throws, they they zoom in on Ben McDonald’s face and he just grimaces and he’s just like he’s just driving him crazy. Yeah. Smoke’s coming out of his ears. He’s literally driving him crazy. And I think he’s going to go to Badget maybe even this week. I really do. I think they need to change something up. It’s not working. Yeah. Rams take down the Titans and what was a really good game. Um, this game in my opinion was won by the Rams defensive line, which with Verse and all those guys, they were just in Cam Ward’s face every play the entire day. It was just so sad to watch. Cam Ward scrambling around for his life. Yeah, the Titans have got to invest in an offensive line. That That’s all I can say. Oh, yeah. They need they need a lot of things. Yeah. What are your thoughts about this game? Are the Rams that good? for the Titans not there yet. Uh Rams are pretty good. Yeah, Rams are pretty good. Titans are are weak, but trying to get better, get some experience. Mhm. Devonte Adams had his best day in about three years. A really solid day for Matt Stafford. So, if he starts coming along for that second option with Nua, I mean, he’s got that one-two punch now. Uh, I think the Rams look solid. I I picked them to win that division. So, this game was painful to watch. It was build as Drake May versus Tua. Uh Hill actually had a decent game, first time in a long time, but um overall the Patriots were able to make one or two more plays at the end. And again, we saw a lot of the inaccuracy issues for two, especially on really big passes he had to have. So thoughts about the Dolphins, where they go from here and the Patriots picking up a win. the offense. I mean, they have to run the ball more. Even though Shane touched the ball a lot, they just they they scheme to him. They don’t keep the defense honest, you know. Also, Andre Stevenson played out of his mind. He did. He was great. 54 yards rushing, 88 yards receiving. Mhm. Wow. Yeah, he’s good. Yeah, he is good. Drake May had a good game. Tua had a good game, too. Overall, I thought generally he played well. Had some really nice throws, but there were a couple times where they had key first downs they needed and he overthrew somebody or threw it in the dirt or um they’re in that weird position where they’re close now to winning a game, but they’re not quite there yet. So, I I don’t know how long it’s going to take for them to get on the board. So, you said off camerara and I believe you’re right. It’s time for the Dolphins to blow it up. Yeah, I think so. Try to go for the number one or number two pick. I think they can’t worry about harmony right now and they just need to refresh it with good attitudes, you know. That’s right. So, 49ers get a win over the worst team in football 26-21 with M. Jones leading the way. Rock Pie’s out two to five weeks. A lot of 49ers are banged up. They’re playing kind of with a mash unit right now. Alvin Chimera had a really nice game for New Orleans. They actually almost pulled it off in the fourth quarter. Thoughts about the 49ers limping along with M. Jones? Are they going to be able to stay in the picture? Are they going to fade? I don’t know. So, I mean, it’s pretty cool to see Mac. Jones have that success. He was thought of so highly. Uh, sustained success. I don’t know. They won by five points. I mean, when he goes up against a really good defense that’s really stingy. Yeah. I think it’s gonna be tough. It’s be a problem. Yeah. It’s really good that this first week starting he was up against the Saints, but he played well generally. Bills Jets, it was crazy. I mean, Josh Allen 14 for 25 for 148. They basically didn’t even need to use him. James Cook had maybe a career day of his life. Yeah, he was awesome. He was so good. And the Bills defense just locked down the Jets, especially after Justin Fields has been out because of the concussion. Jets just don’t have anything for anybody when they don’t have fields in there. So, um, does this say more about the Bills or the Jets, do you think? Uh, I think it says a lot about the the Bills. I mean, the Jets aren’t very good. Everybody knows this. Mhm. They’re they’re hoping to catch a magic in a bottle with a scrambling quarterback because their offensive line’s so bad. Surprisingly, their defense, I think, is pretty mediocre this year. I mean, they only got one sack and four tackles for loss. Well, they are playing a Bills team is pretty good, though. I know, but that’s that’s kind of pitiful. Yeah, one sack. Mhm. I think the Dolphins are going to beat the Jets. Yeah, probably. Go Dolphins. Yeah, I don’t know. I I think it says something about both of these teams. I think the Bills are kind of in that mix and I think the Jets I don’t know how they do this every year, how they become a bottom three team, but somehow they find a way to the bottom three and they end up like a victim status. They can’t figure out how to improve. It’s really sad to watch. Yeah. Seahawks go into Steelers country and bludgeon the Steelers. It was wild to watch. I mean, rolling up all these yards, all these points. They made Sam Garn look like an allp pro. Kenneth Walker was going crazy on the ground. And I don’t think the Steelers defense is very good. That’s what I take from this. They don’t they don’t look that good statistically anyway and they can’t run the ball. So you have a situation where Rogers for significant portions of the game was running for his life and throwing the ball out of bounds. Yeah. Um so week one Steelers win barely 4140 against the Jets. This week they play a real team and get bludgeoned. So at home. So where do the Steelers go from here, do you think? I don’t know. It’s tough. you know, you’re you’re counting on Rogers to come in and make it all work right away, and you don’t have a a growth plan that you can share with everybody. Um, haven’t they always been a running team, and now they’re not? Is, you know, Aaron Rogers put some passes in good spots? He did. He’s good. like if if he was a young guy just out there that no one had heard of, I think he’d be considered a pretty good quarterback. I’m not used to seeing Steelers have the same running game as the Dallas Cowboys. They just can’t run the ball. I mean, they don’t have Jerome Bettis. They don’t have Naji Harris. They they can’t run the ball. I just don’t think it’s a formula for winning. Yeah. The Seahawks ran all over them. So, um, as I said in the lead into the program tonight, a lot of these teams have a lot of flaws and the Steelers were really exposed in this game. Yeah. And also, it was a bad game, too. So, yeah, you know, they definitely messed up some some opportunities. No doubt about it. Ravens bludgeoned the Browns in a inner division game. It got so bad at one point in the second half that they benched Flaco and put in Dylan Gabriel. Um Lamar Jackson very efficient day with four touchdowns. Zay Flowers went off. Thoughts about this? And are the Browns trying to get the number one pick? I don’t I don’t think so. I think it’s too early for that. A lot of football to be played. Um, is the Flaco experiment over already? No. No. I think they know that they need a steady hand to help them through it. Mhm. And it’s it’s not going to be pretty. And so they’re probably going to be in this situation where if they’re in a competitive game, they’ll leave them in. If they’re getting blown out, they’re going to put the young guys in to get some playing time. Yeah, that’s right. I think that’s right. Get some reps. Well, Ravens definitely look like one of those top three teams. So, this game was just bonkers. I mean, how in the world the Broncos lost this game, I still don’t understand. What was a really good game, though. Both offenses played well. And um they self-destructed on the last uh long free throw and so many penalties. I mean, the Broncos had a lot of penalties in the second half, which really killed him. Um, I’m impressed with the Colts offensive line. It’s pretty darn good. Yeah. Oh, yeah. I’m impressed with their whole team. Jonathan Taylor, 165 yards rushing. I know. I’m impressed with Daniel Jones. Yeah. Uh, 23 of 34, 316 yards, and a touchdown. Zero INTS. I mean, that’s pretty dynamic, you know. So, is this becoming an issue for the Broncos where they can’t finish games or is this just they blew this one and it’s not going to happen again? I think they blew this one. There’s no no reason to believe it’ll happen again next week or anything. Um, Colts are a little hot right now. And you know, listen, the indie kicker was five for five on field goals and two for two on extra points. He was the MVP him and Jonathan Taylor. So it’s true. That’s that’s why they won. So this game was just incredibly painful. I will say that my Panthers did have a nice rally in the second half. Almost pulled it off. actually had the ball with a minute 30 left driving and of course uh couldn’t get it done and on fourth down and 12 had an incomplete pass and it was over. But I did like the fight in the second half but um you know it’s just sad to see year three of the Bryce Young experiment and where we are now. He threw it 55 times. Terrible. Which is just never an element for success. Even though he can win ever throwing the ball that much. Uh Chuba last year was getting 100 yard games every week. Now he’s getting 38. Um McMillan had a pretty nice day. Six catches for 100 yards. But um thoughts about this game? Thoughts about the Panthers and my despair with Bryce Young and whether he’s the guy or not? It’s very young. season so far. Very early in the season. I think you’re starting to see some trends, but some of the bad teams might break out of it. So, um, yeah, Panthers don’t look very good. Don’t you think in year three you can tell if the guy’s the guy or not? I mean, how how many years they have to give to determine at at any position? Maybe, but not quarterback. Rob, he’s having to jump to pass over the line every other time. It’s just not We shouldn’t have a quarterback where he’s having to jump over the line. No, we we need a 65 guy like Josh Allen. That’s what we need. So, thoughts about Kyler looked okay. All the a free agent. No, I’m just kidding. They’ll never let him go. They wouldn’t trade him. Kyler looked okay, but same thing. I I just have never felt like he’s ever reached his potential either. Um, I don’t know. We’re going to let Bryce Young play out this year, but um, the thought of giving him a max contract in the offseason is makes me nauseous. Makes me sick of my stomach because I just I know he’s not the guy, a 5’9 dimminionative quarterback in a league with 65 defensive lineman. It just doesn’t work. So, I’m hopeful they can turn it around, but um I’ve said that every year for 10 years. So, it’s getting a little exhausting now. Eagles in the Super Bowl rematch. This was a really fun game if you like defense. Both defenses were really dominant. Offenses were having a hard time even getting first downs sometimes. Um, very concerning related to the Chiefs offense when they don’t have their top two receivers, which they didn’t. Essentially, it’s Patrick Mahomes sits there, sits there, sits there, and then just takes off a lot of times and gets first downs or in the one case, he got a touchdown by jumping over the pylon. Um, I think Eagles are clearly the better team and are I think that separation between the two is getting bigger. A little thought. That’s right. What’s your thought about this matchup? Eagles Chiefs. Yeah. Um I think the Chiefs have some weaknesses now they they didn’t used to have with uh their secondary is the sweet spot of their defense. I think they’ve slipped a little in in terms of letting u couple pieces walk away. I think that uh they’re getting old fast and that play that Kelsey was right in his hands and it deflected to a Philadelphia defender. That was the play of the game because that that would have put the Chiefs ahead actually and instead the Eagles pick it off and return it for 50 yards back to midfield. That was just a crusher. Yeah. Um I I don’t think the Chiefs are panic. They’re 0 and2. They’ve lost to two really good teams. They get both the receivers back next week. So, I think they’re going to be okay. But, um I think there’s a pretty big separation between them and the top five or six teams in the league. I think they fall into the second tier now. Falcons take care of the Vikings. This is maybe the second most surprising game of the week. And that was that in the dome in Minneapolis. I watched it and I am now convinced that the Falcons defense has catapulted up the up the ladder some. It’s much better. It’s much better. But they’re flying around. They’re hitting hard. They were making plays. But JJ McCarthy, even with that, was not good. You can No, I agree. But I’m saying that a year ago that that Atlanta defense would have been softer and McCarthy probably would have carved him up. And I also now see why Bejian Robinson has been consistently in the top four in all the fantasy leagues. I see why now. Yeah, he’s really really good. He’s really good. Yeah, Justin Jefferson had a kind of average game for him. the um Vikings defense wasn’t nearly as good as I remembered last year. They really were kind of soft in this game. So So do you think it says more about the Falcons have improved or the Vikings have gotten worse or both? Uh I think the Falcons have improved. Yeah, especially on defense. Last year they had some nice plays from Mooney. They had some really good offensive stats frequently. Doesn’t Michael Pennix look more ready than JJ? He looks good. Yeah. Yeah. He was brought along nicely. Just sat on the bench and then sat behind Kirk Cousins for a year. Let him let him learn. Held the clipboard. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Although JJ McCarthy did too when he was in all the practices last year. He just doesn’t look right to me yet. I’m not saying he won’t get there, but there’s something about that team. It’s just not not what they were last year. So, the two games tonight, Monday Night Football, uh Buccaneers Texans had just finished up. Buccaneers won 20-9 in a really tight game. Hit a field goal at the end to win it in Houston. So, that was a really good game. Two good quarterbacks. Actually, the defense has played really well. What are your thoughts about the Bucks stealing one on the road? Like I said, Baker is uh a dangerous quarterback. He’s kind of a swashbuckling uh you know, I really like his attitude, you know, and the players love him. Players love they love him. Uh he’ll never win the Super Bowl for you, I don’t think. Um, but I think he can probably go pretty deep. He gives you a chance. Gives you a chance for sure. By the way, Ibuka had another big game. What a great rookie he is. Yeah, you picked it. You said he’d be one of the top rookies this year. Man, is he good. He He holds a bunch of records at Ohio State. He is so good. He is 22 year old years old and he’s like He looks like a polished wide receiver one. Oh. So, the game that has just kicked off is Chargers and Raiders. The score right now is three to three. This is in Los Angeles. I’m sorry. This is in Las Vegas. Uh, who do you think is going to win this game? I mean, obviously, at the time of this recording, it’s it’s unknown, but I would say if the Chargers don’t win, they probably had a significant injury of some kind because I think they’re they’re the better team. I think they better have improved. Yes, I do. I was gonna say I think this is going to be a close game. I really do. I think it’s a division game, but I think Crosby can get pressure. Um, but that Chargers defense is no joke. I like Chargers 23 to 20, something like that. We’ll see. Yeah, the Raiders are not a slouch anymore. They can they can get it done. Looking at our fantasy wrap-up for the week. These are your top eight scorers so far. Lamar’s one. This was surprising. Daniel Jones two. Momes three. Josh Allen four. That’s my quarterback this year. Russell Wilson five. Drake May. Jared Goff. That’s your quarterback. And then Puka Nua is the only receiver in the top eight. So, u my biggest surprise here is Daniel Jones. What about you? Yeah, I think so. I think Jones, uh Drake May, I wouldn’t think he’d be up there. Uh having a pretty good year so far. Russell Wilson being up there. I mean, yeah, keep screaming about not going to be starting next week or whatever. That had that was maybe the best game he’s ever played or something. He looked good on long balls. Yeah. Yeah, it was really really good. Yeah, it was Russell from six or seven years ago. So, here’s what your defenses look like so far. Atlanta’s your top scorer. You just talked about that. They’ve drafted two years in a row all defense. Yeah. This year especially, seven out of their eight picks for defense. It’s really starting to show up. Yeah. Uh, your son Connor has the Seattle Seahawks. They’re number two. Jacksonville, Arizona, Los Angeles Rams, Green Bay, my team, Denver, and then uh Tennessee. So, any surprises here? Yeah, Atlanta. Yeah, Atlanta won is pretty 30th last year. Yeah, Seahawks, too, is kind of surprising to me. I knew they’d be okay, but um they’re having a good year. Yeah. So, final one here are the if you look at just the wide receivers, Puka Nuo, of course, is number one. Malik Neighbors two, St. Brown, what a year he’s having. Oh, yeah. He had a big camp. He had a huge day for Connor. Roma Dun is having a big year. Debo Samuel for the commanders. Z Flowers Robinson and Jamar Chase. So, any of these guys surprise you? Not really. Doesn’t it look like a list of like the top 10 guys? Yeah. I mean, it’s kind of like exactly what I would expect. Yeah, maybe Debo. Debo’s probably the only guy in there that I knew he was good, but I didn’t know he’d be this good. He’s I love Z Flowers. Yeah. Yeah. Fantastic. Maybe Robinson. So, here’s your matchups for the week. Coming up, you got your Dolphins play the Bills. Bills are a 12 and a half point favorite. Bengals at the Vikings with Jake Browning. Packers Browns. That’ll be a blowout. Falcons, Panthers. Little worried about that game now now that I was in the Falcons. Terrified. Texans, Jaguars. That should be a pretty good matchup. Colts Titans. You got Colts that are favored on the road. It’s kind of interesting. Eagles are favored over the Rams. I don’t know about that. I think the Rams might be able to pick them off. And then Raiders Commanders. That’s if Jaden plays. It’s at five and a half. So any of these matchups you think are going to be good. Um I think Bengals Vikings going to be pretty pretty compelling. Falcons Panthers probably will be a good in division blood match. I think so too. Raiders Commanders might be pretty good, especially if Jaden doesn’t play. It’ll be Marcus Mariota. Yeah. So, second set here, you got Steelers taking on the Patriots, Jets, Buccaneers, Broncos, Chargers. That’s a really good one. That’s an indivision. That’s probably for first place in the division. Saints Seahawks, 49ers, Cardinals, Cowboys take on the Bears in Chicago, Chiefs Giants, and Lions Ravens on Monday night. That’s going to be a good game. Yeah, for sure. Ravens favored by five and a half. I was like, “Wow, I can’t wait to watch that one. That’s be a good one.” Yeah. So, that’s gonna be a good matchup. Any of these other ones, you think? Steelers, Patriots is kind of interesting because Steelers can’t run the ball and Patriots love to run the ball. We’ll see. Yeah, Broncos Chargers. Yeah, that’s going to be really good, too. Really good. I think Cardinals 49ers will be a good game. Yeah. All right. So, here’s our subscriber challenge of the week. Robbie, you tell me what you think. Which conference is better, SEC or Big 10 in 2025? I think SEC me too. Me too. I would have said last year not so much at the top but the bottom I think it’s deeper. It’s deeper. I mean you look at like a mid-level team like Oklahoma, they’re really tough. Yeah. You know what I mean? Or Missouri is two and 0. Um SEC I think from top to bottom is better is deeper. I think if you look at just the top three or four teams in the Big 10, they’re really good. Yeah. So, yeah, I’ve got SEC. Guys, drop us a comment. Who’s better, SEC or Big 10? Second question is, who is your best team in the NFL after two weeks, Robbie? And it could be somebody not on this list, too. I say the Lions. The Lions. Yeah. Okay. Best roster, I say the Green Bay Packers. Gutsy coaching. Yeah, I like the Packers. I think they can do it all. They can beat you on offense and defense. I think Packers and then my second would be Ravens. The Ravens are awfully good. So guys, drop us a comment. Who’s the best team in the NFL after two weeks? So Robbie, here are over here to the left. um some of the predictions on who are the big, you know, contenders this year. They they have the Eagles, Bills, and Packers at the top. Then they’ve got Washington, Tampa, and LA on the second row. Then they have Ravens on the third row. And then in terms of playoff team contenders, Chargers, Broncos, Vikings, and Steelers. Is there any problem with all these? Not really. I love this down at the bottom, too. It’s so funny. Bad. I think all of this shows you that um there’s still a lot in play. I like this bad. And then they had a couple teams and they got ass cheeks, Bears, Giants, and Panthers. And then they’ve got super ass cheeks, the Dolphins. Terrible. That’s pretty funny. All right, Robbie, final thoughts, man. Heading into week four college, week three NFL. I’d like to see a week in college where there’s a bunch of upsets uh where some of these quarterbacks that are the Nus Meyers and these guys um start to start to become consistently good every week. Why do you think some of those guys are struggling? I mean, quite a few of them are struggling. I mean, it’s not just it’s Lenora Sers, it’s Nusmeire, it’s Arch Manning, it’s it’s about four or five of the guys they were saying were Heisman potentials that are they just don’t look like the quarterbacks we thought they were going to be. I of course can’t explain the South Carolina loss at all, but I mean, it’s still early in the season. Offenses are are behind a little bit and starting to starting to get their feet under them, but not everyone’s getting their feet under them at the same rate. So, uh sometimes it’s just a bad week. Like, who’s been consistently bad this year that’s supposed to be good in college? I can’t think of any I can’t think of anybody who’s been bad multiple times. I mean, kind of Clemson. I mean, they they’ve been really disappointing. I mean, everyone, he was okay this week. He was terrible last week. He was okay, but he wasn’t great, right? He’s supposed to be a guy who’s taking them to the playoff and they’re losing best player in the country and all this stuff. That’s just overhyped. I mean, Haynes King is okay for Georgia Tech, but he’s not in the club next. Yeah, he shouldn’t be winning that. And then Nusmeer, it looked like he hadn’t slept or something because he was just missing easy screens and easy layups. Um, so he hasn’t been good. Arch Manning, we’ve already talked about. I think he’s got mechanical problems. I think he needs a guy to take him to the side and coach him. He’s like a quarterback coach. I think he’s No, no, he’s got all the talent in the world. That’s not a talent issue. He’s not mechanically right right now. And I I don’t know why, but yeah. So, you got all those issues. And then on the on the NFL side, you know, you got the teams that don’t have defenses, I think long term are in trouble, like the Cowboys. Yeah. And then the teams that have a great defense and have no offense, like the Browns, they’re just not going anywhere. I mean, they they can be competitive, but they can’t score. So, and the Steelers, I mean, offensively they’re not great and defensively they’re not as good as expected. So, they’re just not very good. But, they’re very fortunate they’re in that division. I just and we were just watching two really good teams as we’ve been broadcasting, the Bucks and the Texans, but I don’t think either one of them can go deep in the playoffs because both of them scores. Both of them struggle to score sometimes. Yeah. And um we shall see. Those are the themes I see going into this next week. And I’m excited to see some of these big matchups coming our way. I like to see how the overreaction Monday stuff happens and then the next week, the reason I picked um week one is a liar is because a lot of teams that didn’t look great in week one get locked in as going to underperform or the the projection of them is bad now. And some teams that lost in week one are going to actually have good seasons. And uh it’s fun to watch that come to fruition where people start to jump all over their case and then kind of back off slowly when they start winning and then act like they never had that issue with them in the whole the whole time. So isn’t it amazing that out of the six quarterbacks taken first and second round two years ago that Caleb Williams might be the worst of the six. Pretty amazing. I think we said that though. Like I we did. We did. Not surprising to me at all. We said he was going to be a bust. Mhm. Partly because the system you went to partly because the hype can really damage you and go to your head. They were asking Matt Matt Hasselbeck, “Would you rather a guy who has ice in his veins and is unemotional or would you rather the emotional guy like Caleb is who’s hugging and crying with his mother in the stands and, you know, is wearing nail polish and all that?” And he said, “I want the unemotional guy. I want the Bo Knicks at quarterback.” Yes. Quarterback. Yeah. At quarterback only. You want the unemotional guy. Crazy guy at defensive tackle, you know. throw who throws a pick and then the next drive goes down and takes the team down for a touchdown. I mean, like Baker Mayfield, he’s he’s emotional from a getting fired up standpoint, but he’s very calm. He’s very calm. Yeah, that’s right. Um Justin Herbert’s that way. He’s very calm when he makes a mistake. Cool. Well, guys, have a fantastic week of football. I know we will. Thank you so much for subscribing, for liking, for uh going on this journey with us. Like this last week, um Ben Johnson against his Lions, you know, they’re doing this stuff on purpose. Uh and and it’s it’s just well done.
