Things just keep on getting better for the Philadelphia Eagles as today they just got exactly the news they were hoping for as it seems like a key offensive starter could be returning this week to give the pass and run games a major boost. Speaking of which, we just got an interesting development on AJ Brown that could signal a breakout performance is right around the corner. Plus, Jordan Milada is pissed off at the tush push drama as he just sounded off on the media’s narratives and also called out other teams for cheating to stop this play. So, let’s talk about that and all the other latest Eagles news starting right now. We are at a crazy point in history if you’re a Philadelphia Eagles fan. I mean, after years of hardship and disappointment and coming up just short, Philly is finally on top of the NFL. And it’s not like how it was in 2018 when a group of underdogs did the impossible and won it all when nobody expected them to and then they quickly fell back down to earth a little bit afterwards. No, this is a bit different as after two Super Bowl appearances in three years and a dominant Super Bowl victory last year, the Eagles are firmly among the NFL’s elite. And at this point, people see them as anything but underdogs. I mean, the GOAT Tom Brady himself recently made a list of the NFL’s top 10 teams, and none other than the Philadelphia Eagles are at the top of that list. And it’s not really a surprise, but it’s honestly just crazy to think about how far this franchise has come. I mean, to the point where now they’re on top of the NFL world and they’re starting to get the kind of hate from fans around the league that consistently successful teams like Tom Brady’s Patriots or Patrick Mahomes Chiefs have gotten over the years. Now, not saying they’re on that level quite yet, but it feels like they’re starting to reach that territory. I mean, you know, we truly are in the golden era of Eagles football when the rest of the NFL has placed a target firmly on Philly’s backs and is gunning for their spot. But what’s awesome is they’re clearly ready for it as they just keep on winning games. And after their latest win versus the Chiefs, superstar running back Saquon Barkley took to Instagram where he posted a photo with the caption, quote, “Philly versus everybody,” which is exactly what it feels like right now. So, love that from Saquon there. And obviously, next up are the Los Angeles Rams. And it’s going to be a really exciting and tough matchup as the Rams are possibly some of the best competition that the Eagles have in the entire NFC. I mean, last year they were the team that came the closest to knocking them off in the playoffs. And obviously, you know, there’s a lot of recent history there as these teams have played each other three times in the past two years, including that playoff game. And there’s been plenty of storylines. I mean, you got Jared versus Beef and now Respect with Eagles fans. You know, there’s that playoff game that was obviously very intense and just an insane atmosphere in the snow. And of course, you can’t forget about Saquon’s two explosions last year against the Rams defense as he ran for over 200 yards in each game and broke off four touchdowns of 40 plus yards. I mean, that’s just unheard of. So hopefully he and the Eagles run game can get fully on track in this game and we see yet another explosive performance there, which would certainly be a great sign after the offensive struggles that the Eagles have had in the first two weeks of the season. But moving on, one other little storyline between the Eagles and Rams over this past year involves probably the most controversial thing in the NFL right now. That being the tush push or brotherly shove. As if you’ll remember back to this past off season when the league was deciding whether or not to ban the play. The Rams are one of the teams pushing to get the play banned. And obviously they didn’t get their way. But ahead of this game this week now with all the drama surrounding that play after what happened in the Eagles vers Chiefs game, Rams head coach Shawn McVey spoke on it, saying that they, the Rams, will have conversations with league officials about how they officiate the play just to make sure that they aren’t committing penalties and they can coach it better. And he also said that he’s sure the Eagles are having those same conversations so that they can make sure they quote operate within the confines of not getting a little bit of a rolling start before the ball is snapped. Which obviously that’s a reference to some of the missed false starts that the Eagles had in that game versus the Chiefs on that play. So, you know, nothing crazy, but a little bit of a call out from McVey there. Honestly, in my opinion, this whole tob push drama and outrage is just getting really annoying. Like, did the refs miss some false starts on the Eagles or neutral zone infractions in that game? Yes. Were the Chiefs also lining up illegally? Yes. So, you know, the refs need to be better on both sides. And you can’t just blame the play itself for that. I mean, like, there’s other plays where teams get away with false starts or being off sides. Like, it happens all the time. It’s not just this play. But, you know, at the end of the day, the NFL world has spoken. The majority of people hate this play. So when stuff like this happens, there’s just naturally going to be an unfair amount of scrutiny on it. And we’ve gotten to the point now where the hate has gotten so ridiculous and so comical that we have people, including big names like Adam Sheper, saying that the tush push is so unfair and so overpowered that it is the sole reason the Eagles won the game against the Chiefs on Sunday. I mean, that’s just crazy. And Eagles star tackle Jordan Milada is not having it. As on Tuesday, he sounded off on that narrative on WIP radio. It seems like there’s a a growing push back from the national media against the tush push. Yeah. Um I understand it. I understand the outrage. Uh what I don’t understand is them using it as an excuse to why we won the game, right? Um I think it’s incredibly disrespectful to our defense and our special teams who bowled out. you know, my brothers on defense, especially teams who who bought out that game, who who had our backs when we weren’t moving the ball or we weren’t doing anything, you know, and so when I see those things and they fly, you know, they fly across my timeline here and there and I do my best to stay off uh social media, but you know, that kind of irks me a little bit. That that pisses me off because we give so much to this game and to to you kind of base off a a short yardage play that is a football play. Yeah. And say that we won the game off that but not the not how our defense played, not how our special teams have played, putting us in those positions. You know, I think it’s I think it’s bull crap. Part of my French. Hey, let me press this dump button. No, no, no. Bull crap is fine. Yeah, that’s fine. Yeah, that one’s fine. I think it’s I was going to say a lot of other stuff, but you know, I I just think it’s rubbish. It’s absolute rubbish, man. It makes me makes my blood boil just thinking about it. Yeah, I mean, I couldn’t agree more. Like, obviously, this play is not the only reason the Eagles won the game. So, that narrative is just absolute garbage. And again, I think the outrage about the play and also the crazy notion that the Eagles are somehow getting special treatment on it is also garbage, especially after Milada just revealed that teams like the Chiefs, Packers, and Commanders are openly cheating on this play and they’re somehow getting away with it. I think it’s pretty rich for them to to say that we’re false starting, especially right after the game when you’re lining up in neutral zone. And I thought mimicking the cadence is a penalty. So, it’s so funny you bring that up. I saw a video today where it sounds like they were yelling and they they’re yelling out Cadence out. The Chiefs were doing it on more than just the Tusc. Oh my goodness. Wow. Is that something they did in the Super Bowl? Hell yeah. Is that unique to them or is this something every team? Wow. Every team. Green Bay does it. Oh, Green Bay does it a bunch. Um, Commanders did it, man. A lot of teams do it. And we brought it up pregame to referees that this is what they do. So, but they don’t have that referee standing behind the defense now, so they can’t really call that penalty. But I just think it’s rich. You don’t see us I mean, this is the first time I’m bringing it up, right? You don’t see us saying, “Oh, but they they, you know, calling out Cadence. They’re lining up all sides. They’re lining up both sides. I’m still getting that first down on that play.” This is insane. I mean, I know that this isn’t going to get the same amount of attention as these other tush push narratives have gotten in recent days, but if it’s true, I mean, there’s the proof right there that like Saquon said, it really is Philly versus everybody. And again, that play obviously isn’t the only reason that the Eagles are winning games. I mean, I talked extensively about it in my last video, but the Eagles defense, man, like they’re already showing signs of being something special. That front seven has been dominating and on the back end they’ve been really good against the pass as well as John Clark pointed out on Tuesday that not only have the Eagles only allowed seven second half points, but they’re also allowing the second lowest opponent passer rating in the league, they rank fifth in opponent’s yards per pass attempt. And they are also sixth in completion percentage allowed. So yeah, safe to say they’re off to a pretty impressive start there. And like I talked about yesterday, there have been a lot of impressive performers, but one underrated guy that I did want to highlight now is Josh, as the guy is currently the highest graded defensive lineman in the entire NFL after 2 weeks. So yeah, I mean, it’s been a pretty awesome start to his Eagles tenure and hopefully he starts to show up more in the stat sheet as the games go on and he can start to pile up the sacks back like he did in 2022 when he had 11 12 with the Patriots. Moving on though, offensively, we’re obviously all waiting for the Eagles to figure things out there, especially in the passing game. And luckily for them, they just got some huge news that helps them out a ton in that area as after missing the Chiefs game on Sunday with a knee sprain, starting tight end Dallas Scoutard returned to practice for the birds on Wednesday, which that’s definitely a big step in the right direction and a sign that he is likely trending towards playing on Sunday. And obviously for an Eagles offense that has struggled in both the pass and run game this season, that’s huge because we know Goddard is obviously one of the best most complete tight ends in the game when healthy. So his return should not only give a major boost to the bird’s passing attack that really didn’t utilize the middle of the field at all last week, but it’ll also give a major boost to the run game as well as Gran Calcata and the Eagles other tight ends simply are not good run blockers at all. And the rush attack tends to be a lot more successful and efficient when Goddard’s in the lineup. And that’s not even mentioning how the Eagles pass game could also benefit from Goddard as a pass blocker. I mean, last week the Eagles likely open up the game with the deep shot touchdown to AJ Brown if Grant Calcata doesn’t whiff on this block. So adding Goddard back into the lineup is possibly the difference between a play like this succeeding or failing. So overall, getting Goddard back obviously makes the birds offense much better in so many different ways. So, we’ll see what happens throughout the week, but again, it’s definitely a great sign that he was out there for practice to begin the week. And then moving on, and also circling back to AJ Brown real quick, it really does feel like he’s right on the verge of breaking through and having one of those big games. I mean, he may have been extremely quiet the first two weeks, but as I talked about in my last video, he’s set to have a very favorable matchup in this game against the Rams, possibly against Emanuel Forbes, who we know he owns. And last week he also was winning on a lot of his routes as he apparently had the highest route win rate in the entire NFL at 38%. So it’s clear he’s healthy. We can put those rumors of him still being hurt to bed and he’s open. So now it’s just about if Kevin Bullo, the coaches, and even Jaylen Herds can just find ways to get him the ball cuz I guarantee he’s going to be open this week too. And the Eagles got to find a way to use AJ to expose the Rams weakness with starting quarterback Akello Witherspoon being out. So again, this is where we’re going to see what Kevin Bullo is made of. Can he figure this out? So, you know, we’ll see. Personally, I’m with commenter Mike Pota and hoping that the playbook is opened up a bit more this week and AJ can have a big game on Sunday. And shout out to you, Mike, for the comment, by the way. Moving on though, we also got some other news from practice on Wednesday with guard Kenyon Green being back on the active roster. So, you know, nothing crazy there, but definitely a move worth noting. And that said, you guys know there’s going to be plenty more news and stories coming out to talk about this week. So, if you don’t want to miss any of that, then make sure you guys subscribe and you turn on notifications again. That way, you don’t miss anything. 2. Yo Evan, do you think that we should be worried about Kevin Patullo? The routes and concepts that I've saw so far look pretty basic imo almost Brian Johnson level

  3. Kevin Patullo better have a bounce back game this week otherwise the offense will be in trouble and he will also be in major trouble

  4. I love my eagles 🦅 but the offense is always painful early in the season! They are loaded with talent that must be utilized 💚💚🏈🏈🦅

  5. Patullo should sit down with both AJ and Smith to come up with some exotic routes and things that no one would expect and Jalen could be on the same page with!

  6. The league wants all the O-Line to eat less and lose weight, never seen a bunch of grown men complain more than Karen.

  7. Nobody is talking about that amazing one hand catch AJ made in the Chiefs game!!! The chiefs player thought he was about to get a pick but AJ said “nah”!!

  8. i grew up watching buddy ball 90s eagles. this is an era i never thought possible and enjoying every minute
