Alex Noren spoke to the media following his win at the BMW PGA Championship, where he was asked:
– How does this win feel?
– What will your role be at the Ryder Cup?
Yeah, amazing. It was uh such a tough emotional back nine. He played very well, Adrian. And and uh I thought the leaderboard was kind of stacked the whole way down to, you know, 13, 14, 15. It just kept going. And and I know the conditions were going to be tough the last seven holes. And you kind of just it’s a it’s a weird one cuz you kind of just wait for the ring rain to come and uh it’s it’s hard to focus in the beginning as well then cuz you know it’s going to be tough and you don’t know how bad it’s going to be. But um yeah, so was extremely happy to first get in the playoff and then felt a little bit more relaxed, a little bit better weather on the on the eight on the first playoff hole. I I think my role is to an extra set of eyes for Luke, you know, he’s he’s doing the most part and the other captains have done a lot of work and I think and everybody else involved in the RD cup. I kind of came in, you know, knowing about a month and a half ago I was going to be a captain and I asked Luke what he wanted out of me and obviously I’m not going to coach or captain much. um like you’re you’re going to be extra set of eyes and over a few players maybe and then be at of any service they need and and uh I you know I’ll only play one time but I I know it’s it’s different to play Ric Cup than anything else. So I’ll do whatever they ask me to do. I’m I’m really happy to be part of the uh team cuz I think Beth Page will be incredible venue for the Rot Cup.
