Bethpage Black, the New York golf course hosting this year’s Ryder Cup, has been granted a pair of major tournaments in the coming years.

The course will host the KPMG Women’s PGA in 2028 and the PGA Championship in 2033, according to the Associated Press. It will be the course’s second time hosting the PGA Championship. Another New York course, Oak Hill, will host the PGA Championship in 2035 for a fifth time.

Oak Hill has also served as a Ryder Cup host, back in 1995, while Bethpage Black previously served as the U.S. Open host in both 2002 and 2009.

“Bringing the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship to Bethpage Black is a significant milestone and reflects our commitment to staging this event at premier courses in major markets,” said PGA of America president Don Rea Jr.

Additionally, New York’s Shinnecock Hills will host the 2026 U.S. Open.

As for this year’s Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black, the United States is trying to put a stop to Europe’s recent dominance in the event. The Americans have only won four of the past 14 Ryder Cups.

In an effort to do so, 10 players from the United States Ryder Cup team are playing at this week’s Procore Championship, two weeks after the Tour Championship. The United States is hoping to avoid the rust that might have come with a month-long layoff had they waited to play between the Tour Championship and Ryder Cup.

“I think the players knew it was important. This Ryder Cup means everything to them,” U.S. captain Keegan Bradley told reporters. “We talk a lot behind the scenes of how much this means to us and they are willing to do whatever it takes to be prepared. This is something that we wanted. When I was named captain, this was something that I wanted, but like they wanted it more than I did. This made it really easy. When the players take accountability for their team, good things happen.”
