Andrew Novak, Ben Griffin get both their first wins on tour. Andrew Novak, he’s kind of a problem right now. He finished third three weeks ago, then finish second at the RBC, losing in the playoff to JT, and then wins at the Zurich Classic. He is now up to ninth in Team USA RDER Cup standings. This guy Novak, it’s like you catch lightning in a bottle. This is such a common theme in professional golf where like a guy just gets up on a leaderboard and like you see him battling it out with JT and then all of a sudden like that name just sticks to the top of the leaderboard like goo. You just see him for a month and now like we’re going into a PJ championship. You start thinking of Novak like this guy’s playing great golf. This is such a common occurrence on this tour where like a guy comes out of nowhere and now he sticks around. They do this where they find that one thing, it all kind of clicks together and then they go to another level. You do see it all the time, especially with guys like trying to make a name for themselves. Guys will come out of nowhere and then it’s like, how long can they stick to the top of the leaderboard? The margin for error for these guys is so small. Talent levels, you know, is crazy. And uh for him to be able to do it consistently kind of out of nowhere is is pretty impressive.
