Travel cases. You’re going on a golf trip. You need to put your golf bag in a coverall, a travel case. We’ve got hard ones and we’ve got soft ones. Let’s talk about the features and benefits and the advantages of having a hard case over a soft case. As someone who’s traveled the world with their golf clubs, I’m pretty much a pro when it comes to travel cases. Let’s start with a hard case, which I do really like. If you’re someone who wants full protection, so everything in that case is solid and protecting your bag, there’s no kind of squishy bits, then a hard case is where you would go. Really good for protection. Get a big cavity to put your bag in. You can stuff it with a few other things as well if your airline allows it. Shoes and a few extra clothes. You can use it a little bit as your suitcase as well, cuz it is like a solid suitcase. Great wheels. All the ones we’re talking about have great wheels. good handles for moving around. The issues with the solid case is you can’t unless you’ve got room at home. It’s a big case that’s in your house or in your storage at home. So, it’s not very good for packing down and getting out the way cuz these things are big. You know, they’re big tall boxes basically. So, for me personally who hasn’t got the space at home, this one wouldn’t work. It works on the trip. It’s just when I’m not on the trip, I don’t know what I’m doing with it apart from tripping over it. Now, when it comes to soft case, this is the Sun Mountain Cube travel cover. This has to be one of the cleverest travel covers I’ve ever seen. Look how small it packs down. Like, it packs down ridiculously small and compact, which for me for storage in a boo when I’m not using it at home at my filming place where I film where it’s in the corner out the way. I love this. It’s so good for packing down and getting out of the way. Then when it opens up, you have a hard bottom and a hard top, which is really clever. Obviously, the drawbacks with a soft case, if you’re panicking that people are going to chuck it around and step on it and move it, this maybe not isn’t the one for you for peace of mind. For me, I’ve only ever used soft travel covers and I have traveled many times around the world, all around the world with my golf bag, and luckily I’ve never had anything break. I know people do, but I’ve never had a problem. They seem to treat my clubs with some level of respect and I make sure I pack them quite well and correctly making sure anything that might break is protected with other things, shoes, hats, balls around it. It’s the compact nature of this that is so good. The other thing over hard resoft, the hard one is heavier. So once you get your bag in and stuff in, really easy to pull and drag when on the wheels, but if you’re lifting it onto a belt, you’re lifting it off a belt, lifting it into a boot, into a taxi, the other side, they can be quite heavy. So subject to how strong you are, that can be a bit annoying. Where the foldable ones are considerably lighter. So these things are never light cuz you pack them up with your golf bag. But the lighter they are for me personally, again, someone who travels a lot, having extra weight. It’s not the cost. It’s more just the logistics of moving it around into hotel rooms, out of hotel rooms, into um cars, out of cars. Car parks or airports can be tight spots as well. Having a big heavy thing is hard to get through sometimes. I personally like the foldable put away when I’m not using it. Lighter options. You decide what works best for you there. These are two great options if you are traveling and you want your clubs protected while they’re going on their little trip. Thanks for watching and I hope you found that helpful.
