The No. 1-ranked Keiser women’s golf team open the 2025-26 season with a commanding victory at the Seahawk Shootout, played at the famed PGA National Resort – Champions Course. The Seahawks posted a three-round team score of 909 (+45) to finish 15 shots clear of runner-up Marian (Ind).

The Seahawks were led by Linda Stamm, who placed third overall with a total of 224 (+8) after rounds of 74-74-76. Close behind was teammate Faye Wheatley, who surged on the final day with a 71 (-1) to claim fourth at 225 (+9).

Sophomore Sophia Sindersberger earned a spot inside the Top 10, tying for ninth with a score of 231 (+15), while Luz Maria Ardila tied for 24th at 236 (+20). Rounding out the scoring lineup was Berglind Erla Baldursdottir, who finished tied for 32nd at 238 (+22).

The win was anchored by Keiser’s consistency across all three rounds, capped by the team’s lowest score of the tournament in the final round (299, +11), which secured the title.

Individually, Stamm and Wheatley finished just one and two strokes, respectively, off the tournament lead. The Seahawks placed three players inside the Top 10 and all five within the Top 35 in a field of nearly 100 golfers.
