Your irons look up and down with a path that starts outside and goes across the ball, which can push shots left. Tip 1: feel the club drop inside on the way down-turn your chest and let the club travel toward the target rather than out away from you. Tip 2: try a simple drill-place a headcover a few inches inside the target line behind the ball and swing brushing toward the target so your path stays inside. Your tempo is balanced, so keep that steady as you work on the inside path through impact.

You’re chopping wood right now, no core rotation. Look up the windmill drill.

U need to turn with chest and shoulders in backswing. U are just lifting with your hands without much turn. That’s why u come over the top.

  4. 45 hcp??? Are you sure? That means your potential best is a (checks notes), 117??? Ain’t no way, unless you only sit on that range mat and have no concept of chipping and putting. If thats the case, go do that.

  5. You are hitting your iron here like a floppy wedge shot. It’s all arms with a super early release. Find some drills to work on forward shaft lean at impact as well as drills to get your rotating your hips and swinging with your body.

Get a lesson for 80 bucks. it’ll help you so much more than playing another round of golf or spending time at the range.

As a 45 handicap, I think a lesson would be the best help. There’s a lot to work on with your swing and if you tried to address all of it, it’d be impossible to unpack and incredibly discouraging. A golf professional would be able to take you one step at a time, and would likely be able to address the biggest issues first and set you up on the best path to improve your swing, ball striking, and overall consistency.

Hammer the nail, look it up on YouTube

You have no lower body connection to the swing. The hips should be turned towards the target at impact but yours are facing the ball.

The swing circle, as defined by what direction the club head travels through the impact zone, is pointed in the wrong direction. Your circle goes left of the target because of your over the top downswing. This means you cut across the back of the ball with the club face.

There are videos and there are drills that can help you with your swing, but the very best thing you could do would be having a teaching professional look at your swing and then move you into the correct positions you aren’t in now during the swing. Lessons will save you months of trying to fix this swing on your own. Months..

  10. Get a lesson. Stop hitting on mats. Practice short game. You have good tempo and potential.

Swings too steep. Practice a shoulder turn at the top of your backswing. Like you’re throwing a bucket of water over your shoulder.
