Hi guys, can someone please explain the launch direction on trackman. Every long iron I hit i.e. 4 to 6 iron the launch direction is 99% left and always about 8 to 10 degrees. My iron shots are all solid and group really well but nearly every time they fade slightly from the left to the right. If I aim directly at the target they will come up about 15 years short and right of the target due to the slight fade. So to negate this I often aim slightly left of where the target is and the ball will go right at the target.

I spent a long time today on the range trying to figure out what I am doing to cause this. I'm assuming I'm coming across the ball from outside to in which is causing the fade. I actively tried to swing more from the inside and had sticks to discourage me from fading it, but somehow I still did sometimes without hitting the stick.

What can I try to do to stop hitting the slight fade. I can just continue to aim slightly left of the target but it would be great to actually be able to get rid of the fade. Ps The higher up the irons go the less bad the fade it. By the time I get to my 8 or 9 iron I can basically go straight at the pin with little to no fades.

Thank you for any input. Very frustrating after 100 balls and no progress haha.

Understand ball flight laws, learn to hit a hook.

Club path on trackman is what I’d look at.

Once you figure out how to hook it you can figure out how to feel less fade/slice.
