Modernday golf will never be the same because of this golf club. Hybrids have made the world of golf easier and easier over the last few years. But today I bring to you the highest lofted hybrid available in the golfing world. Hi everyone, my name is James Robinson and welcome back to this YouTube channel. Guys, today we have a brand new offering from the guys at 11 and it makes golf so much easier. Today we’re going to build one from scratch, test it, see how it performs, put it into play out on the golf course. And guys, today we’re going to give this hybrid away to one of you guys as well. So, make sure you stay tuned for that. But you can see we are not in my usual workplace because we are joined by the man, the myth, the Nick. Nick, how are you doing? Okay, mate. I’m good. So, Nick, this is a genius idea from yourself. So, you’re the man behind it all. All these 11 clubs. It’s I think it makes golf so much easier. As you all know, we did lose my dad last year and he was game 11 hybrids and he loved it. Allowed him to play for a little bit longer, which I’ll always be thankful for because he enjoyed himself. But 47°, we have tested one and done a bit of a fit in in the studio as well to see how it performs. It is the most consistent thing in the world. If you do struggle from kind of like a 100 yards within, this could be your baby. So guys, if you want to win one of these, this exact one that Nick’s going to build now, I’d say what we’re going to build, but I’m going to leave it to you cuz my skills aren’t quite as honed as yours are. But all you have to do guys, be a subscriber to this channel. So, subscribe if you haven’t done already, throw a like on this video, comment below, what shot do you struggle with, and go and follow the guys over at 11 on Instagram, and they will do the draw to see who takes this home. But, show us how these are made because it’s quite an interesting methodology, isn’t it? You’ve got a new grip to show us as well, which could potentially help a lot of golfers as well. And then we’re going to have a bit of a challenge out on the golf course with it to see who can put it into play the best. Okay. So, yeah. So, then the grip we’ve got, this is a jumbo grip. It’s like an orthopedic grip or it’s like spiked, doesn’t it? Yeah. It’s to help people who’ve got, you know, arthritis or bad wrists, bad hands. But I think there’s something more in that as well because um you were showing me this earlier and I think it stops you gripping too tight for these short shots. I wouldn’t like it on my driver cuz I probably do grip my driver quite firm. But I think for like a hundred yard shot, it actually stops you maybe over rotating the hand and keeping that grip pressure. It’s like size-wise it’s a jumbo but with like soft with crazy texture. Yeah. But yeah, we’ll put a senior shaft with it just to kind of yeah, blend it together. And I do think it’s an interesting one because so many people don’t think about putting graphite shafts in their wedges or even in their irons, but all I like we’ve been testing one already. All I had to do was like get to here and then just do anything you want and the club returns nicely. I’m not I’m not essentially trying to get loads of club head speed with that because all I want is consistency. I can still play it high and play it low if I want to as we’ve shown. So um right, come I think are people going from like a pitching wedge hybrid to a bladed 50 can be a bit of a it’s a bit of a jump kind of just fills the gap gives you those because you have sold a lot of these already. It’s not it’s nothing kind of brand new but I’ve never seen it and a lot of you guys may never have seen it as well but you’ve been selling them to people who maybe aren’t even in 11 sets. Yeah, we’ve sold just Yeah, just tons of them. Tons of them. Yeah. Right. All right. Let’s build. So what length would we go for this? It’s going to be a standard gap wedge length. Yeah. This will be about So graphite again it’s/ inch longer than steel. Yeah. So I think graphite is or steel is about 35 12. This will be close to 36 in. Yeah. Menick says he thinks it means he knows. I know. Yeah. So we are using a KBS shaft in here as well. And guys KBS TGI are they a big partner for yourself? KBS is that? Yeah. Huge. It’s the thing is they do like the TGI plays like steel. If you like the feel of steel but want to go light whereas the other shaft we do which is a max. It’s like standard graphite. It’s a bit softer, a bit whippier. Yeah. But this is like the steel version. Yeah. Cuz KBS are kind of like the DTC gods, aren’t they? A lot of the DTC brands are using KBS using Lampkin grips as well. And how much is it would this be rocking out at? Say if someone wanted to buy one. I think I want to say 90. Yeah, I’m not 100% sure about Well, we’ll pop it on screen just to make sure. But I mean £90 that’s a quite outrageous price for any kind of club which could realistically transform your game if you do not even if you struggle but just if you want to make it a little bit easier. 36 minus the cap. [Music] I feel like I’m just I feel like mixed around me and think I knew exactly what I was doing and I didn’t. Can I always just use some black dye just in case there’s like a a tiny gap or That’s a good idea. anything. It just kind of fills everything and that is ready to take on the golf course. Okay, so you’ve seen just how this club has been made. I think it’s really interesting to get into workshops such as the workshop here in Heraford for the guys at 11 because not a lot of people will know that each club you buy from somewhere like 11 golf or 11 golf specifically goes through the hands of Nick or one of their builders. It’s basically just Nick to be fair. He’s a oneman band. He’s very good at what he does. So it’s nice to know that. Right, we’ve got 80 yards out here. We’ve got lots of different varying lies and this could get really interesting. We tested this inside and the numbers were staggering. I’ll let Bob kind of throw on screen exactly what that looked like. But you can see straight away that I’ve not caught that one well at all. But that has absolutely done quite well to cling on to the back of this green. Let’s try again. Bit more loft. That’s the one. Look at this for a shot. Go on then. Might go in this. Now, what I like about this is that kind of turf interaction element as well. Yes, I thinned the first one, but the second one, you can see you can still take a nice sleek divot with this. You can still play some really nice golf shots. So, a really, really interesting first two shots, we’ll say. We’ll go fairway again. Thunder and lightning, Bob. and we’ll try and play one in. Look at that. I like how easy it is to launch, but I also like how much spin you generate. So, when we were testing this, Nick was just fitting it to my specs to see if I still kind of want this kind of shaft in there. We’ve actually gone for a really soft regular shaft in there, 60 g. So, whoever wins this, this is what it comes with. The reason for that is because I’m not trying to generate 110 mph club head speed, 115 mph club head speed. I’m trying to be consistent, as consistent as we can, especially on shots like this that are incredibly difficult. We’re now in the rough. So, I’m gonna move that a bit so I don’t hit it on the follow through, but it should really help us just to launch up in the air. I’ve struck that awfully. And look, that’s all over the flag. That’s done remarkably well. And again, we’re getting a nice bit of spin from the roof, which you wouldn’t wouldn’t anticipate from a club like this. A lot of people will be saying, “But James, you need grooves on there to get the spin. There’s no grooves. So, how are you getting the spin?” You actually generate more spin from loft than you do grooves, which is an interesting one. Now, this one’s really sat down. How close can we get this? I mean, that’s quite ridiculous, isn’t it? For a shot that’s this difficult to get that close. Even Chris is applauding over there. I think this could be a total and utter game changer for you and you and you and you and especially Bob. So, one of the areas a lot of people do struggle when it comes to within a 100 yards is here right at the side of the green. It should be the world’s simplest shot. So many people try and over complicate it. They try and go too much loft or not enough bounce. Now, this thing is full of bounce as you can tell. So, no matter what kind of lie we have, we should be able to just put weight forward, handle slightly forward, and just dink it up in the air. You can see the loft is making it jump up and the rest is working from there. It’s amazing how simple this makes it cuz I’m not really trying to do anything other than a putting stroke and stay alive and not be struck by lightning. So, if I wanted to play it back in the stance a little bit, that bounce is allowing me to still get the strike and still play the shots that I want to play. Now, we do have a short game expert amongst us. Do you think this would solve so many problems for so many golfers? Yeah, I think a lot of golfers will benefit from this. Like you say, it’s all bounce. So, again, we’re going to get contact even from your longer shots. If you’re thinking maybe 30, 40, those shots that you don’t like 60 yards, then maybe get this club out or something like this. Not an easy chip I’ve just played in fairness, is it? It’s not. Show me away. I’m going to go as far as saying that was a bit duffy and it’s done really well. Yeah. So, even that was a total missing off the toe. We still done better. If that was an iron, it would have probably gone there. Yeah. Okay. So, when we were testing this in the fitting, we were hitting it a nice consistent 100 to 110 yards. You can see here we have one of the best looking parries I’ve ever seen. And what does that say there, Bob? I can’t read it. It’s 110, mate. 110 yards. We’re also joined by two, the men, the myth, the legends. We have Chris, the short game expert, who I’m really looking forward to getting to test this around the greens as well. But I’ll let you have a go at the par three cuz it looks phenomenal. And we have the man behind the club, Mr. Nick. Um, who wants to go first? I’ll lead us off. Pop a par three this. Okay, I’ll put my balls on the deck, but we’ll No, go on, mate. You’re all right. me. Great strike. Left the face open slightly. Might come back off that bank though. Watch this. I’m amazed at the spin we generated. 10,000 spin we were getting. Nice. Two pretty good ones. Thank you very much. Amazing how you generate back spin without grooves, isn’t it? [Music] be good. Oh, come down. Oh, if that just came down. I’m not going to lie, I’m not really flying up. He’s got a metal thing. Be good. That’s the one. That’s the one. Right, Nick, over to you. I’ll clean it for you, actually. Lovely shots there, weren’t they? What’s up with you? Did you not see it lighting? Oh, look at this. Come on, man. A This is a man who knows what he’s doing. This could be really good. a speaks for itself. I think if you’re struggling from this distance, it’s a fantastic option. And if you’re not struggling from this distance, it’s a fantastic option.

So….not the highest lofted, but close…The Majek SW has a loft of 55 degrees. I have one. I have a full set of Majek and a fell set of Eleven hybrid irons. I love them, but after playing with them for nearly a full season I am learning some of the shortcomings of hybrid irons. I'd love to talk to you about them if you ever want to.
I use Callaway Heaven wood, maybe you should get one for your dad 👌
I struggle with the short stuff. It looks perfect for me.
80 yards and in is my current Achilles Heel. I have the 2 Iron from Eleven Golf which is ridiculously good and is changing my long game but now looking for a short game changer
Where did you get that gorgeous head cover?
New to golf, struggling with irons in general
I got the 6and 7 irons and I love them. Makes my shots more consistent
That would help me a hell of a lot I’m 74 playing of 15 so it would help me get down to my target 12 handicap plz I whaching your channel all brilliant content ect 👍👍👍👍⛳️🏌️♂️🛺
Would help me eradicate that chunky shot 🤞😊
I have always struggled with the 80-120yd approach shot (usually the 3rd shot to the green). Definitely will not get a chipper as I believe they're a little one dimensional. Great video and Nick looks a proper gent.
Chips around the Green that club might help me👍
Having got these clubs and watching this, all I can say is "if only…….". If you're crap, you're crap. No club in the world will help that.
Looks amazing. I have been debating whether or not to switch to all hybrids.
I struggle with 100 yards
A bloody push slice, never found a club or tip that will help me out. If I won this if it didn’t work I could use it as a walking stick or give it away as this Yeats Christmas present.
always struggled with chipping and short game. would love this
I got new Cleveland wedges this year, and love them. Now thats its fall and soaking wet, this 11 club would be great.
I’m playing around with a hybrid 19° We’ll see?
Just to stopping pulling my 100 yard wedge
I struggle with a vodka shot.
I struggle from 90-100 yards in. This club looks amazing!!! I believe it could really help my game!!
I replaced my 6-iron last year with a Ping G430 5-hybrid and my 5 & 4 irons with the G430 9 & 7 metals and it’s the best equipment change I’ve made in 53 years of golf and I’m actually considering replacing my 7 & 8 irons with hybrids. In my opinion these clubs are complete and total game changers. The confidence I have standing over the ball is miles above any iron I’ve played and it shows in my scores and reduced handicap index. If you’re still gaming irons and going through the constant mind games of trying to deliver a consistent compressive strike to the ball I highly recommend swallowing your pride and getting over the chirping from your regular weekend foursome and get these clubs in your bag if you actually want to improve.
An Eleven convert here at 72 y/o. Got NH01, Mini, 5-pw and Blaster wedges and love them. Struggle with those half pitch shots, 50-70 yards and think that Gap wedge would be ideal. Really interesting video, cheers guys.
Nick should consider calling a maid to clean service. The office could use some attention.
A putter is easier.
I am a lefty and i struggle from 70 to 40 meters Going to the green
Thanks for the video James! You’ve peaked my interest with this. I jump from PW to a 58, so this could be a game changer for me. I’ve switched in a 3-5h along with a 7h and I’m enjoying them. I really never thought of adding more higher lofted hybrids. Genius! Thanks again!
