I learned this simple drill from Bryson Dechambeau’s coach to fix early extension & stop shanks
All right. So, if I was to drill this and learn like feet super close together, put all of your weight on your left foot. We’ve done this drill before. Drop your right foot back. Yep. Straighten your right leg out. Like, straighten it. Good. Cool. So, now it’s nearly impossible for you to slide your hips to the right. Right. Now, add a little bit of right tilt. Too much. Just a little bit. Good. Now, you’re just going to pitch the ball. And what you’re going to do is you’re going to feel your arms go first because you’ve already preset your body. Yeah. and supenate the lead arm in flexion. Bingo. Push your hips more forward and bank this foot over more like kind of go like this. There we go. There you go. Cool. And then create some side bend. There you go. Gotcha. Hold. And then you’re going to finish arms straight and right there. Nailed it. There you go. Awesome. Okay, no more shanks. Ball flew straight. Little draw.

Amount of top lessons you have had you should be in the worlds top 50 golfers list lol sometimes it’s good to work things out yourself to truly understand the golf swing as you seem to be getting taught by the dreaded this is how Scotty does it this is how tiger does it. This will just end up confusing you more than getting you better as everyone is different and it’s not essential to copy individual swing mechanics completely to get to their level.
